Both the Bunyan Meeting and the John Bunyan Museum are in Bedford's cultural Quarter close to the town centre and the Embankment.
Admission is free. Pilgrim's Progress is one of the most famous books in the English language.The Allegory is set in the landscape of Bedfordshire and you can do the drive tour for this...which we did.(There are Maps you can purchase around town).But the Museum takes you throught the life of John Bunyan.From his early childhood, to his adult years and imprisonment(for his religious beliefs)There are artifacts through out the museum from these events.
Anyone who is familiar with John Bunyan as a preacher, Pastor or author will enjoy this museum.It is located out the door of the meeting place church and throught the garden area.It also has a small gift shop and coffee shop.Clean bathrooms. read more
