After dealing with trees from other farms dying the available trees being short, stumpy, big holes in them ect this place came through. This was our second year coming and this will be the place we continue to come to for years to come. The tree prices are at a great price point you're going to spend the same on a tree that was cut down a month ago in a tree lot as you will here. However the tree we get every year is steep but it's worth every penny. Service is great you cut your tree down get it out to the path and they haul it up front for you clean it up and wrap it. Santa is there waiting at the shop, free hot coco, popcorn and cookies. You can go right in and pa for your tree and pick it up or enjoy your time by the fire and let the kids play for a little bit. The wreath selection is great as well so many to pick from. Next year or what's left of this year go check them out!

A chaotic, but interesting, home decor store. If you're looking for *something* or want to…read moreredecorate an area and have a vague idea of what you want, HomeGoods is where you want to be. As the store only carries one or two copies of every individual item they have, you can never really be "sure" they're going to have what you have in mind. I'd never come here if I'm looking for a very specific and exact item. Instead, the fun of HomeGoods is that everything is so unique. Having one copy of everything frees of way more space to have way more variety. You can get faux plants, dinnerware and kitchen supplies, kid's decor, pet supplies, mugs and other drinkware, furniture, gigantic rugs, gourmet pre-packaged treats, pillows and blankets and other soft bedding, mirrors, wall art, and seasonal stuff. Prices aren't particularly cheap. I'd say they're decently mid-range for home decor stores like this unless you catch things on clearance. When they're clearancing out items, you can get some *really* nice deals. Because of the "one copy of items" thing, the store can regularly feel pretty cluttered - and you should make sure that your potential item isn't damaged or anything before purchase. Expect to spend a freakishly long amount of time in this moderately-sized store just because there's *so* much stuff to look at on every shelf. Items are organized by area/use, though, so if you're only looking for blankets, all blanket options will be in the same area (same with mugs, journals, etc.) Staff is generally decently friendly. Check-out can be a bit slow (mostly because of all of the breakable items) depending on what time of day you come.

I found the pet supplies pretty quickly and I bought a dog chain for a fair price. We needed some ant poison and were looking around. A gentleman asked if he could help us locate something and showed us where it was. My star rating would have been at least a 4 of not for the checkout experience. The lady didn't greet us when we walked up. She kept talking, practically yelling conversation to a customer who was half way across the store. I would give a name but she didn't have a name tag. She rang up all my stuff and still didn't say anything. Told me the price. No please. Gave me my receipt and a dry thank you. Nothing fantastic. I got what I needed. Goes to show that customer service really means a lot. Smiley happy people are important. As a employee in retail you are paid to smile and be nice.

It wasn't until I hit a couple of the other Michaels' locations in the state that I realized how awesome this particular location is. The staff here has never been anything other than great. They're usually busy with stuff, so they aren't particularly amazing at *seeking* you out to ask how you're faring, but if I've ever approached one of them with questions about how to do a craft or where to find something, they seem really happy to help and usually will take me to the exact spot. Most of the employees seem super knowledgeable about various crafts too. The store itself is super clean and modern, too. It's a relatively new building, and it shows. Everything is always in its place, and while it might take a bit to find exactly where I think something should be, I always go "of course it's right there!" when I figure out what section it's in. The bathrooms are really clean, and the employees seem to do a fantastic job of cleaning up errant items. When I've occasionally put down a couple of my items to use the restroom, I'll come back to find them cleaned up already. (Which is annoying, admittedly, but still, great attention to cleanliness on the part of the staff) Check-out is the only time where you might have to wait a bit. The staff is always good about calling for back-up when the lines get long, but just due to the coupons and the usually-tiny nature of items that people pick up, it can take a little bit for each person in line to check-out. Like all hobby stores (which I still find to be an odd practice), Michaels offers 40% or 50% off various parts of the store on different weeks. You can usually wait out for particular sections to go on sale in order to take advantage of the better prices (though baking supplies seem to be very rarely discounted). Every week, they usually have a 40/50% off any regularly-priced item coupon available on their website that you can use, and on special occasions, they run one-day sales where you can get 20% off your total purchase including sale items. I'll admit Hobby Lobby is a bit bigger and has a better selection of various things due to the larger store. However, I've always found that Michael has a whole lot better selection, and it's open on Sunday. (Plus, depending on your political views, shopping at Michaels means not supporting Hobby Lobby)

The pros: open Sunday's, you get your photos in as little as an hour, they have good coupon deals. Most of the staff is nice. The cons: it's usually busy and chaotic on the weekends, the photos don't always have good lighting - I find them really dark, some of the photographers really pressure you to buy extras even when you say you don't want them. Always check for coupons before you go. They do not allow pets. They do allow you to make one outfit change. They have lots of different backgrounds that they can use. What really gets me is how dark the photos turn out. They don't look dark on the computer screen when you order them but when you pick them up it's a let down. Once I took them back because they were so dark and asked if they could be brightened and the lady was super snotty and couldn't see what was wrong with them. She said she'd try and she would call me. I never got a call. I called back, they took a message and I never got a call. Also they give you a photo cd but it's not to print off photos elsewhere. They will not give you the copyright release. You have to bring the cd in to them and they will print photos at their prices. But of coarse they don't tell you this.
