We used this brokerage service and were directed to Progressive Insurance. They not renew our…read morepolicy, because apparently we didn't return a document that needed to be signed. Mind you, after being coerced into becoming paperless, I don't pay much attention to the mail. Progressive sent us monthly payment reminders via email even though we were set up on autopay, but they apparently didn't care enough to even follow up with a call or email to let us know they hadn't received a document from us. What's even more offensive to my sensibilities is that C&O not only did nothing to follow up on this, but they also clearly were unconcerned with maintaining our business. I made a 5 minute call to State Farm, got a quote for half of what we were paying C&O/Progressive ($350/month vs. $165/month) for better coverage. We also were able to get a better renter's insurance rate. I'm not sure if C&O is motivated by commission payments through Progressive, but I would recommend avoiding both companies. I'm also filing a BBB complaint against both companies- the discrepancies in pricing are significant enough to warrant further investigation, in my opinion.
