The innovation center for John I Haas is one of the cooler places I've been in quite some time! The company is one of the major supplier of hops in the world - fun facts - 75%+ of US hops come from the Yakima Valley and about 1/3 of the worlds hops come from here! Here, they work on developing new varieties of hops and honing in how they describe the current ones. The hops then go on to their experimental brewing area where new and exciting beers are developed! At a local restaurant- Cowiche Canyon Kitchen - they test run the beers to see which should be taken to perspective beer institutions. It's quite a cool process!
