Save your wedding: DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY…read more Short version: we were asked to meet with this DJ (Billy) to discuss packages, the address he gave us was wrong and we were directed to a filthy basement apartment down an alley. Then the DJ cut off our meeting and kicked us out of his "office" (in a very rude and unprofessional manner) because I asked questions about the service. Long version: after emailing for information, the DJ (named Billy) offered to meet with us to discuss packages (normal). The address we were given led us to a nice-ish looking building in a dumpy section of Laval. The driveway had the Techno Sonic work truck in it, and also piles of garbage around the yard and driveways. We rang a doorbell at the address given, and an elderly woman in pyjamas came out of a balcony with a dog and asked us if we were looking for Billy. We said yes and she directed us down the side of the house where a dirty, grumpy-looking middle aged man asked us to follow him down the alley next to the house. My stomach was already turning at this point but since some DJs do not have a formal office, we went with it. We walked down a dusty staircase which contained a fake tree with money on it (another warning sign). Upon entering the basement "office" we were greeted by a cluttered space of random dusty equipment and stained carpets. We sat down at the desk to have our meeting. He started off by justifying himself proclaiming that if a reception hall recommends his services, it MUST be because he is good. Next, he started to ask us the usual questions about our venue and date, and I responded with my own questions about the service. I was reading questions from my wedding planning guide book, and writing the answers down (pretty standard for an organized couple planning a wedding). He slammed his pen down on his desk, and snapped in an aggressive and VERY rude tone: "I don't like your approach to this. This feels more like an interview than a meeting and I'm going to wrap this up now." I was shocked and so was my fiancé. I tried to explain that asking questions is how people make decisions when choosing a wedding vendor but politely thanked him for his time and said we would be leaving now. Please note: the questions I asked were perfectly acceptable to 3 other companies that we had meetings with that day. Also, despite the fact that only one of the other companies had a formal office, none of the meeting places were as dirty or sketchy as this unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate "vendor." After reading other reviews, I regret even wasting my time taking the meeting but will post this review on every site possible to help others avoid meeting this man. To Billy: customer service is an important standard in the wedding industry. It felt like an interview because it was: there are hundreds of wedding vendors out there for our wedding but we will only have one wedding. Your lack of manners and rude method of ending a meeting speaks a lot to your customer service abilities: a professional would have gotten through the meeting, and found a polite excuse to not take the gig if they decided against it. Your choice today to behave rudely has cost you not only the potential work from us, but also everyone we know. Negative reviews get more attention than positive and you should adjust your techniques in the future for the sake of your business. Good luck.
