It would take less than 2 mins to get. They both had a nasty attitude telling me she can't go get it because they dont want anyone disturbing YEP. She already had 1 Jacket stolen. We didn't want another one stolen. A few months ago my daughter forgot her homework/project papers in class and the office had absolutely no problems walking to the classroom opening the door (teacher was gone for the day) letting her get her homework during YEP. So if that wasn't a problem then why would it be a problem now? She left the Jacket on the playground area not in the classroom. The young girl who works the front desk and the principal had a nasty attitude about her getting her Jacket. I told the principal if she can't get her jacket then im calling HUSD. He said "I dont care go right ahead" and he closed the door in my face. Anyone working there could have went to the play area and got her Jacket.. I could understand if the school was closed and nobody was there but the office doesn't close until 4:30 pm. I came there at 1:30 pm. This is what you call the height of laziness. On 9/7/26. I came to the school to pick my daughter up because she had a doctor's appointment. Instead of the office calling her teacher and have me sign her out , one of the faculty members in the office ( I won't say their name) started talking about the Jacket. I was like wtf that was 2 weeks ago, I just want my child so we wint be late for the appointment. This faculty memeber said "Im very disappointed with you because you complained to HUSD after we told you, we had a meeting and couldnt get the Jacket' Im telling myself "I didnt come here to argue/talk about the jacket" So I said, "This all could have been avoided if you just let my child walk 2 mins to the playground and back" I was then told "If you dont like it here you can take your child and go to another school" I saw that comment as very unprofessional. II am standing there telling myself "Why didn't you just call the teacher already so I can take my child to the doctor" Nope this person just kept rambling on and on about the Jacket. If that wasnt bad enough this person said "So and So is in the _____ Grade and their age is ____ and should be more responsible of taking home thsir personal belongings . This was first time my child forgot a jacket. I talked it over with my wife, I honestly believe HUSD or whoever is in charge needs to flex their muscles and start terminating those who can not communicate at a professional level with the parents of a child. Warnings don't do anything and we all know it because that is like a slap on the wrist. I notice some faculty members (won't say names) Don't say hello, hi or anything when you say hello to them or even wave. They have a personality of a rock and they are emotionally detached, unexpressive, and generally boring to interact with. I try my best to avoid those people when I go to the school even when there is a school event. I am going to file a complaint because I want to see the school staff be more professional while working and talking to the public, especially the parents/legal guardians of all students. An old saying "You Reap What You Sow" What does that mean? Well it means your current actions, behaviors, and decisions (sowing seeds) will inevitably lead to direct consequences in the future, whether good or bad. When push comes to shove, I am not going to cower down like other parents.. If you can't be professional at the job you are paid to do then retire or find a new line of work.

My kids are always excited when they come home and love being at school. For communication, I personally prefer email--it's a reliable way to avoid small mix-ups like forgetting a note. Kids will be kids, and they'll get wild without their parents around, but that's part of growing up. Sometimes, I think the low-star reviews come from people who didn't get their way, rather than reflecting the true spirit of Stonebrae. I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication.
