He read the results of my test and told me exactly what treatment plan I needed to follow. He also has a web site that he posts everything on and you can go there and see what took place during your visit. You can also check your appointments and send and receive messages.

Dr McDanald was my OB from the time I was 15ish to 25 (before Obamacare and my employer messed up…read moremy insurance situation) He was always very thorough, made me feel like my health was a priority, and had great bedside manner. He always listened to me and worked with me for a plan of care that met my needs - including getting a Mirena at age 20 despite never having children. He made that process as painless as possible. And when I had to get a new one at 25, he made that procedure are easy as it could be. Whenever I had any test results come back as abnormal, he took all precautions necessary. He spent quite a bit of time explaining results and treatment options. He was very calming, and even when I had to "go under the knife" I had no worries, because I knew I was in good hands. Unfortunately, due to ObamaCare more or less forcing people to get new insurance one way or another, I was no longer able to afford Dr McDanald. While I was sad to no longer be in his care, he was kind enough to recommend OBs that were covered by my insurance. He is a fabulous physician, I recommend him to anyone who has insurance that cover Baptist OB/GYNs!

I've had to visit MFM a couple of times throughout my pregnancy, and each have been pleasant…read moreexperiences. And that's not just because I had good results each time. Since I'm over 35, my OB/GYN sent me to MFM to have some more in-depth ultrasounds done. On my first visit, I didn't have to wait long before I was called back. And the techs were delightful. In the very clean ultrasound room, they took several measurements of my baby. Best of all, the techs were eager to answer my questions and keep me informed on what we were seeing on the screen. And because my baby was a bit shy and wouldn't roll over on my first visit, they couldn't get good images of his heart. So they had me come back a second time. I'm thankful for their thoroughness. They were able to get a better view then, and I didn't mind going back because it meant I got to see my baby again. They were also nice enough to give me several printouts of the photos to take home with me. My regular OB/GYN was able to get the results from my MFM visit, so we talked about them at my next visit. MFM is easy to get to, right off the parking garage next to Norton Women & Children's Hospital. I hope you have as good of a visit if you need to go to MFM.

My appointments have always been on time or early. In this field, emergencies and calls happen and they have a board in their waiting room with each doctor's name and approximate wait time listed beside each one in case they are behind schedule. I think that's a great touch. No one likes to sit in a waiting room forever for an appointment with no clue. If you have a high risk pregnancy I would definitely recommend this practice.
