The bar was interesting. The police patches adorned the inside with the bathroom sinks being automotive tires and gas pumps. Pretty cool. The veterans in our group got 2 for 1 drinks which was very nice. There was hardly anyone there & the band wasn't keeping anyone there with their music. We had one drink and went on to the next bar. read more

Bennett Riviera was one of our favorite places to spend a few hours on Broadway. The entertainment there was great I wish I could remember the name of the band playing, but the singer was more than just a singer. He was an absolute entertainer and made it extremely difficult to leave the place. He was very talented and was fun and engaged the crowd. The staff there was also amazing our bartender Mary was just the best. She was very friendly and engaging and was carrying the weight of the entire bar herself without skipping a beat. We were looking for a little snack to hold us over and got the chili pie and it was the best ever. We wound up going back multiple times because it felt like the best place to spend your time can't wait to go back. read more

Great spot on Broadway for live music! You will not be disappointed, the talent is always top notch along with their bartenders. Overall this is another honky tonk bar on broadway. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon during college football season to grab a drink and take a break from the heat. The main level was packed, but we saw the stairs and went up to the second level where they had a bar, TVs, and plenty of space to sit. They also have a small rooftop area with some shade as well. read more

We really enjoyed this bar on Broadway. Mainly because they support law enforcement, first responders, and military. There are patches everywhere that have been given to them to hang. The respect is second to none. We came fairly late one evening and it was more to end the night. So we didn't venture beyond the first floor. It was packed down there and the live music was amazing. Small space for some folks to dance around. Bartender was very helpful and clearly slammed with orders but moved through things quickly. Very impressive. Definitely check this place out. We plan to go back. read more

First bar we visited during our trip. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the entire street was busy, especially since the titans were home and there were lots of Green Bay fans visiting! Walked into RR and although the ground floor was full we headed straight to the second floor where there was plenty of space. We grabbed a table and noticed people were eating food and coming and going for drinks. Traffic was steady. We grabbed two drinks and watched a little football until we were ready to head to the next spot. RR is a little smaller than some of the spots at this end of the street but just keep heading upstairs to see if space is available. We didn't make it to the roof but I heard they have a variety of yard games up there as well so, something to do other than just drink if that's your thing. Pretty basic spot, not worth a special trip but not worth intentionally skipping either. I think it's just right for one drink as you're making your way down the street. read more

Fun time, good bands. This bar is small and has a backyard feel to it. The walls are covered in police and firefighter badges from all over the country. We found one from our hometown. Strong supporters of first responders, police and firefighters. Very patriotic. This place gets crowded in waves. Only one bartender was behind the bar when we'd were there, she was great but could have used a hand. read more

Had a fun time at JRRR in downtown Nashville. We stopped in almost every night for a cold beer and great music. We listened to several great local talent Country Western groups. The staff was nice, to us, but both of us also felt a tad unsafe as the staff did get rather rude and pushy with several different people over IDs on our 1st and 4th night visiting. Always one of my favorite places to have a drink in Nashville. Unlike a lot of bars here, it's not overly noisy and overcrowded. There's usually an acoustic band playing covers downstairs. It's a very patriotic bar that serves reasonably priced drinks and food. Come early and it's not too busy. Love this bar at the end of Broadway. A cozier and less flashy bar than the others on the strip. I love the smaller feel and the bands are always amazing. They sing some rock as well not just country. They have badges from different police stations and it's super cool! Everyone always dances and it's a little area to dance so a lot of fun! Loved this place. It's a RED bar! Police patches every where so it's cool to see who all has been there. Not overly crowded for a Tuesday we got a table in the corner I hate how every bar you pay for song recommendation so just bring cash. There are a lot of 'flashy' and trendy bars to visit on the strip, but I like the downhome bar feel of the Redneck Riviera in the heart of lower Broadway. They offer reasonable prices and good selection on beers, great live music, friendly staff, and a welcoming and fun environment. The rooftop is fun and offers a great view of the happenings on the street. The only improvement I say would be needed would be to have bar stools with backs on them. read more

After many trips to Nashville we finally stopped here. Loved the patriotic atmosphere. It's all about vets and first responders. The band was great and so was the atmosphere. This is a great small, intimate honky tonk. Always great music and every time I have visited the bar tender is wonderful. Drinks aren't cheap, but you're on Broadway. This place is extremely military and first responder friendly. During this most current visit, John Rich's grand parents stopped by and his grandpa actually planned the drums while Buck McCoy played the guitar and sang! Like I said, always a great place to visit! read more

Our second trip to Nashville and found another, smaller joint to check out. Yes, I know live performances are not uncommon on Broadway in Nashville, but this solo artist was not doing all the cliche, knock-off & often brutally performed metal genre (and yes, I'm a metal head and the butchery of metal in Nashville is real). Some country, pop and seemingly personally drafted music was performed, all with a low-key crowd and outstanding service (especially the upstairs bar tender, she was awesome!) made my Wife and I feel welcome. read more

My husband and I found ourselves as this place a few times during our trip. This place is very friendly to the military and offers BOGO drink specials. There is two levels of places to chill out with live music. It was weird since in the roof top area the music ends very early in comparison. The bartenders were very friendly and welcoming so I would recommend and likely be back here if I am in town again. read more

Good time. Sat up on roof top. RedNeck Rivera apple whiskey on the rocks Good stuff. The couple that were playing very friendly. Asked everyone where they were from so the had everyone talking and singing along. Yeah my wife still loves me after that. Like the support for military law enforcement that John Rich shows. Nothing special, just a nice dance club dive at night. This atmosphere also attracts hoodwinks, so be warned. Theyre all honestly harmless as long as youre not acting like a complete doucet - or wearing a certain gang color (sarcasm?). For demographics, this bar is par for the course in its neck of the woods. I hate that they dont serve drinks in real glasses though, only plastic. Theyve got a wide variety of TVs, not the biggest, but they do the job. They also have poker on Wednesday nights. The food is pretty decent, they actually use a grill. Get validated and discounted parking from the museum front desk/concierge so the fee is only $15 to park in the parking structure across from the museum. I would also like to mention that staff member MICHELLE V. was very helpful on my visit, as she went out of her way to get me a personal item that I needed, so thumbs up to her. Thanks Michelle! The museum itself took a good 1-1.5 hours to explore. We started at the top floor to see Dolly's exhibit and Taylor Swift's center...then slowly progressed downstairs. It was cool to see the memorabilia of various famous country artists as we looked around. Now we know why Nashville is the country music capital of the world!

Now on to the service and food, let me present a timeline. 7:30 we arrive 7:55 we finally get our drink order and we place our order for appetizers and entrees at the time because I can see the writing on the wall: the service is slow (the drinks were quite good) 8:30 waiter comes back to tell us that the printer had a malfunction and they have food ready but need to match tickets to tables. He asks us to repeat our order. 8:35 we get our appetizer, artichoke spinach dip. This was the best part of the meal. 8:45 the waiter comes to say they are out of short rib (my entree) and I can choose something else. Mind boggling because we've been there over an hour now. I order the pork chop. The waiter assures us he will comp the appetizer. 9:08 our meal comes (prime rib for my husband and the pork for me). My husband asks for a glass of red wine. Waiter once again tells us the appetizer will be comped. My husband's prime rib was supposed to be medium rare. I've never seen a prime rib as well-done as the one that arrived. It was like taking a bite of the Sahara Desert. It was so horrible he barely ate half of it, and he isn't someone that has an issue finishing a dish. It was also completely flavorless. My pork was cooked to the perfect temperature but there was not a speck of salt to be found (nor any other seasoning). I was eating a juicy, tasteless piece of meat. The mushroom sauce on top was extremely bland. 9:20 we realize the wine for my husband is never coming and we just want to get the heck out of there and ask for the check. We get the check and imagine our surprise...the artichoke dip is still on the check AND the wine we never received. We just payed the dumb check and left because now it had been 2 hours and we were SO done. $170 for the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. TLDR; don't go here. The service is slow and the food is subpar.

My husband and I purchased movie tickets through Fandango to see the new Toy Story here. I saw on their website that they validate parking for up to four hours in the Nashville East garage, and thank goodness that they do! I couldn't imagine spending any more money on parking after purchasing two movie tickets for nearly $60 (including fees). However, you get what you pay for, as their movie theaters are beautiful and brand new, with fun loveseat-like couch seats and full service dining. Concession prices were pretty standard, and I love that the popcorn is bottomless, so you can get a refill halfway through the movie if you want! I do wish that you could just place the order through the QR code rather than just requesting a server ... it seems like it would flow more smoothly for everyone if that were the case. We also got an Oreo shake with our popcorn, which was utterly delicious! Note that there is no regular concession stand - you must order popcorn and snacks (or a full meal) through a theater server. Regular rules do kind of go out the window with these full service dining theaters. The woman a few seats down from us was shining her flashlight at her menu for the first 15 minutes of the movie, and it was so annoying! She did it periodically throughout the movie as well. I'm not sure what Hooky could do to curtail this, as I'm sure they want people to order food throughout the movie, so I'll just say moviewatcher beware! The couch seats were comfortable, albeit a little awkward. I really wish they reclined! The audio and visuals were great - we opted for the SDX theater, and it did not disappoint. We didn't get a chance to check out any of the other games on-site, or the full bar available, but we did note their awesome happy hour deals. I am sure we'll be back soon!

The only real positive was that it's new and they're keeping it clean. So at least a step up from the sticky floors of every other movie house we've visited in the Nashville area. They were having problems with the HVAC and the entire center was uncomfortably hot. The seating is mostly love seats, large enough for two. But the seats don't recline and they've chosen to use cloth instead of leather. The seats are already not particularly comfortable, and it feels like they'll get old and worn out pretty quickly. Wonder why they went with the cheaper approach. They do offer food and drink service to the movie seats. You scan a QR code that goes through a "check out" process that's actually just requesting a wait person visit and take your order. Pretty unusual and underwhelming for an established chain. The "table" attached to each seat is very small, just enough to hold a drink and a small plate. The menu, which is the same menu provided in the bar, is typical bar food and not designed for eating in a dark theater. There are very few items other than the drinks that you'd be tempted to try in the dark. The front door of Hooky is out to a two lane major downtown street with no access for ride shares to pull over and drop you off or pick you up. Huge oversight, they must imagine all their customers are walk ups or parking in nearby garages. We're a bit spoiled by previously living in areas with iPic theaters, and were hoping Hooky might provide an iPic like experience. It's a small step in that direction, but clearly with a lower budget and a less experienced design team. I expect we may give them one more try, after the place has a chance to burn in and get their rhythm, particularly if there's a combination of a good movie and a reservation at an adjacent restaurant like Ocean Prime. But our expectations are going to be fairly low.

So yes, several people were on their phones texting and on social media throughout the show. That was annoying. The theatre lobby is small and a bit dated. Parking can be tough in the adjacent structure.
