There were never any of the issues that we had with other dentists and luckily my teeth were in good shape so my check ups came and went without any problems. Now, I appear to need my first ever filling and I'm going to choose these guys to treat me over dentists that I've seen more recently, if I can wrangle it since I don't live round here anymore. Although it is a private dentist i never feel like they are trying to carry out unnecssary work and they will only do what is required. They help me make the most of my dental allowance from my insurance policy and send you both e-mail and text reminders which is great as i often book appoinments at 6 month intervals. Imram my dentist and Rachel the hygienist are lovely and i trust them both implicitly to take care of my teeth nd kerp everything on tip top condition. If you are needing a dentist in th city centre i recommend this one. They can offer pay monthly schmes and often do seasonal tooth care packages.

I was in incredible pain, and was dubious that id be able to find a dentist that would accept me - i thought id have to wait until i was home and then make an appointment there. As i say, they were able to see me at short notice and i found the dental practice to be quite a relaxing place and the dentist that i saw put me at my ease. After about 40 minutes of dental work my condition was stabilised and i was out of pain and able to continue my trip. I felt the dental charges were quite high, but i couldnt fault there service in any way and if i lived closeby i would probably use them again.

DON'T GO TO MACC DENTAL!! OK I went for a check up about 4 months ago and I was advised I needed…read moretwo fillings even thought they were not causing me any pain. I went two weeks ago (had baby in between) to have these fillings and a scale and polish. Firstly the detist I saw was very rough and caught my gum and lip a few times with the drill. Then they tried to drown me by not sucking out the excess moisture from the water jet. He did the two fillings - one was fine the other was a mess. He got filling on the tooth next to the one I had done and got it in between my teeth. He used a file!!!! to clean up the filling between my teeth afterwards, he caught my gum with it which was very unpleasent. The day after I had my filling the one he bodged up came out leaving a really sharp edge on my tooth. I have been back to my previous dentist today to find out that the scale and polish had not been done correctly and the filling he put in was too small. He also missed at the check up a huge filling that needed doing in one of my back teeth (at no point were xrays taken). Overall I was not impressed and have returned to my good old faithful dentist for further teatments to correct the work of the Macc dental dentist.

The Receptionists are helpful and polite if you need to speak to them in person or on the telephone. The waiting rooms are very clean with a selection of magazines and a tv to watch.It has excellent competitive prices but top quality services. The only problem i can see is the parking , there are 3 spaces and the roadia very busy and difficult to gt in and out of. One other problem is that the ask you to ring in 6mths to make your next appointment and if you forget the year passes quickly and you may loose you dentist..

An inspection by the Dentist lasted perhaps 5 minutes maximum AND this included taking an X-Ray. Told I needed to have the tooth taken out ( I did rather think that myself) I was back on the street and still in agony within one and a half hours. That is One Hour twenty five minutes waiting and the five minute consultation. Oh I forgot. I was also charged £40 something and told to expect a six to eight week delay before the extraction could be done. A week later I was back again and in perhaps more pain than before. The consultation was perhaps several minutes longer but with only a prescription for stronger antibiotics I still felt rather let down. I have now endured over thirty days of agony and still it continues..And still no appointment. Oh how I wished I had money. Star Rating...Minus five.0

When I went to University in the north east I tried switching to a dentist near to campus, but my experience was so bad that I quickly switched back to Pemberton Dental. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and I've never had a bad experience.
