You will receive a statement in the mail. each month until paid. They explained everything they were doing without sounding condescending or acting like they had to dumb it down. Just normal, respectful communication. Even things like flossing were approached with zero judgment. They offered practical alternatives and acknowledged that some routines are harder to maintain depending on executive function, physical access, or sensory tolerance. I didn't have to mask or over-explain myself just to be treated like a person. If you've avoided going to the dentist because past experiences were shaming, overwhelming, or just not neurodivergent-friendly, Piper is the first place I've been where I didn't leave feeling worse. They got me seated in my chair and there was virtually no wait before the Dr. and his 'assistant' began to evaluate my problem. They were extremely aware of the sensitivity of my tooth and I felt very little discomfort for the entire appointment. They took x-rays, evaluated the issue, made some immediate adjustments and I was on my way. After the appointment (same day!) they followed up to see how I was feeling. I was sick that day. I was offered an appointment for the next day but I was still sick. At that point, my appointment was rescheduled for July 13. This meant that, for 3 additional months, I had a space where the second tooth from the front belonged. I protested and wrote a personal letter to Dr. Wade with no result. On July 13 the receptionist tapped the implant and did an x-ray, and Dr. Wade stopped by for less than one minute. The whole appointment took barely 5 minutes. I still can hardly believe that Dr. Wade was unable to give me 5 minutes from his schedule to avoid 3 months with an empty space at the front of my mouth.

I would never recommend anyone to come here based on my experience with Dr. Seelye. I had some fillings done I think sometime in July or august 2019, and he overfilled them and they were excruciating when the numbing medication wore off, something I've never experience before. I had all of the fillings done on the left side of my mouth. I go in a couple days later complaining about how bad it hurts and that I couldn't bite on that side at all. The Dr comes out and makes me feel like I'm ruining HIS day just for needing this adjusted. He gets his work done filing them down then asks if I still feel pain, I said yes, a lot. His answer was "well my fillings are clearing your bite so the problem is not my fillings". Which, mind you, I did not have ANY issues whatsoever before getting them filled. So yeah, they are the problem. That was the last time I have/will visit this office. My mouth hurt very bad for about 3 more weeks after the second visit, and I couldn't really bite hard things (think trail mix) on the left side of my mouth for over 9 months afterwords, and even now it still feels a little... off. If you want a medical professional that actually CARES about the patient, find another dentist.

They haven't changed the signs/cards/etc. yet because that just happened a couple of weeks ago. On to review: I cannot speak highly enough of this practice. The staff are friendly, caring, and extremely competent. I've had two cleanings and a difficult crown replacement so far, and am 100% satisfied. The crown is perfectly seated--none of that tongue-darting-to-the-weird-thing going on in my mouth. I will be scheduling two more sessions soon (to deal with a cracked tooth and for some whitening), and I say this knowing that I've used up my dental insurance for this year already. One thing I really appreciate is the running monologue of the hygienists and the doctor himself about what they are doing. It's also pleasing to hear the doctor praising the work of his colleagues and suggesting changes in a constructive way. I've too often been around doctors who denigrate work that isn't their own. With this kind of atmosphere, I'm very much more inclined to keep to my regular schedule of cleanings. Also, don't let the fact that this practice is in a mall put you off.
