More of a…read moremodern feel, than the other shoe shops at the outlet village, which is reflected in some of the brands on offer - CAT, Rocket Dog, Timberland etc. In this shop less is more, the shoes are placed on individual clear perspex shelves, and you just ask for the size you want - a good system that minimises clutter and enables you to quickly find the shoe, trainer or boot you want. They also sell shoe care products and retro bags for men and women.

I like the Sole Trader outlet store, but thats about it. Its a forgottable place, with no real character or purpose. The Lakeside outlet in Doncaster is sadly just as bad, so this is the best in the area - but thats not saying much. It really needs a large scale expansion, as its location and premise is great - its just not been done very well. Time for a refurb and expansion if that option is available to them.

I think the staff are quite helpful because i have seen a sign that says they will help with any disabled shoppers due to a small step up upon entering. They stock shoes for everyone although they might not appeal to everyone and they aren't that good quality. There is also a few changing rooms in the corner. The staff that work in this store are all women. This shop is very popular amongst people in Alfreton town, especially women, because you can get essential items for a very cheap price. They are not high fashion items so will no appeal to big brand lovers or hipsters.

The clothes sizes are on the small side, they are cheap and look cheap, you get what you pay for. The standard leg length in trousers is short and the waist sizes are different to the sizes you get in other high street shops. I always struggle to get my shoe size as they only have one of each style in my size, although its not an uncommon shoe size! The staff are generally friendly and helpful, but you are well out of luck if you want to pop in 5 minutes before the official closing time, as the door is likely at being locked!
