john's has cleaned my gutters the last two years. They promptly returned my call, came when they said they would, did a good job and charged a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

John's is no frills reasonably priced gutter cleaning service . I have not used their repair or installations services. I have used them three times and service was good. We Had some issues last fall with the early freeze but they made good on their promise and got the gutters cleaned as weather allowed. read more

I received a written quote from Denice Alvarado of John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC on November 16, 2024 for cleaning my gutters. We agreed on a price and date of service for November 29, 2024. I asked what time and was told "I do confirmation calls the day before and give an ETA." The day before was Thanksgiving with the date of service being the day after Thanksgiving. I emailed on November 29, 2024 at 7:30 am asking what time I could expect service. I was told between 1 - 3. I called the office at 3:10 and explained that I was still waiting for service. I was told she thought they would have been there already, she would call them and call me back. I received a knock on my front door at 3:30. I explained I didn't feel they would have finished before it got dark given the size of my house especially if they were going to run a hose through the gutters as they promised. I've done my house for years and know how long it takes. At that point, I asked if they could come another day to be sure they had enough time to not rush through the job without time constraints of it getting dark. They called the office and gave me the phone. I asked if it was the same woman I spoke with earlier. She said yes. She never gave me her name. I assumed it was Denice Alvarado. I asked when they could come back. She said tomorrow (Saturday November 30th). I asked what time. She said between 8:30 - 9:30. John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC never showed up on the promised date and promised time. John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC never called. In my opinion, John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC is not reliable. They never contacted me to confirm the appointment. When I contacted them, they didn't show up within the 2 hour window. John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC didn't call either. John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC didn't show up at all or call on the 2nd agreed upon date and time. Direct quotes copied from their website are complete contradictions to my experience with John's Gutter Cleaning, LLC.  reliable services that you can count on Our customers are our first priority. John's Gutter Service contacted me yesterday about scheduling service and a 3 year old invoice that I supposedly owe. I haven't heard from them in 3 years about scheduling or about owing any money. When i try to call them they never answer the phone. I told the woman I'd call her back as I was on my way out for the day and I would need to check my records. As I was returning home at 5pm the woman called me and left a voice mail. I listened to my voice mail and was horrified at her empty threats that I didn't return her call and a lawyer would call me Monday. Her unprofessionalism and lack of efficiency in record keeping is astounding. Her message was threatening and rude. I called her immediately and explained I was out for the day and just returned. And that i told her earlier that if I owed her money from 3 years ago that I'd pay her, she kept talking over me and continued with the threats. Anyone knows a lawyer is not going to call you for $200. I was incensed at her behavior and her voice and asked her to send me an invoice. This rinky dink operation isn't worth enlisting as the office person is rude, indifferent to receiving phone calls and inefficient; possibly incompetent. If my husband was writing this review, he would have given 1 star. I give them 2 - only because the work that John and his partner performed was decent. What we were NOT happy with was the fact that the guys showed up 12 hours late for the job. The woman in the office said "sometime after 5pm" and they arrived at 10AM the next morning. So technically, sometime after 5pm was accurate? The other negative thing was that the pricing for what we wanted to have done (a simple gutter installed on one side of our home) was given to us verbally by John. But when it came time to pay, the price went up by 100.00 AND then TAX was added. So a severe miscommunication occurred. What lured me in was their professional-looking website. What initially made us wary about the decision to go for it was the lack of reviews. But then my husband and I shrugged and said, "No reviews are better than poor reviews." Well, here is their first review, and it's not that great! In the end, the pricing was still fair, however. If John had just been straightforward about the total + tax and not changed the amount at the last minute, we probably would have paid it no questions asked, and had them do the work. My advice... get something in writing BEFORE they start the work. And be prepared to camp out in your living room in your pajamas wondering when they're going to show up. read more

Every word in it is true and accurate so don't know why it was moved. I contacted John's Gutter Cleaning to clean my 2 high gutters that I could not reach and they said they could also clean my lower gutters for an additional $20, which I agreed to. When I booked the appointment I told them my gutters have screens to keep out leaves and debris. I was told they would remove a couple of the screens but don't remove all of them. Two workers came out on Saturday afternoon. I was working outside and was not following them around and watching their every move. I noticed they finished very quickly so after they left I checked my lower gutters and found debris bunched up at one end on one gutter, and debris still on the screen on another gutter. I called John's, told them what I found and sent a couple pictures. I was told they did not have the tools needed to remove the screens but would come back out and clean them properly. They arrived in a large box truck with all their equipment so I'm not sure why they would not have a wrench, pliers, or something to unscrew and remove the screens, especially since I told them ahead of time. I'm sure I was not the first person to have screens on their gutters. At this point all they had done was taken a hose and flushed from one end of the gutter to the other. I called back on Monday to say I wanted to be home when they came back and was told they had already been there, cleaned the gutters and left. When I got home I checked the gutters and found they had removed the screens to clean them, but they did not unscrew them, the literally pried the covers off, ripping out the screws, bending the screens. Not just one or two, but ALL of them. They did not even attempt to put them back on. They left them bent, twisted and hanging off to the side in one case allowing debris to get in the gutters. I waited a couple days to calm down before I called but was still furious. I told them what was done and sent additional pictures and that I wanted a call from the owner. I was told they would come back out and if they could not be fixed they would replace them. I NEVER got a call from the owner. Several days later 2 workers came out and took the screens and tried to bend and flatten them back into shape. They put them back on the gutters and now screwed them down every couple inches because they could not be bent back into shape. Which would now mean I would have to remove multiple screws just to clean one small area of the gutter. I called the office while they were still working and told them it was not going to work, it was like trying to straighten out an aluminum soda can that had been crushed, can't be done. I was told the owner would come out and if he felt they should be replaced he would replace them. A couple days later the owner and an employee came out and at first he did not seem to know what I was complaining about. He looked at the gutter screens and said they did not need to be replaced. They were still twisted on the gutters. I finally got so pissed off I told him to gather up his equipment and get off my property. It was only after I told him I was going to make a complaint to Consumer Protection, the Better Business Bureau and a TV consumer reporter that he agreed to replace the gutter screens. They came back when I was not home, which I was not aware they were going to do, and did replace the screens but marked up the side of my house in multiple areas by leaning their ladders against the siding while working. Now I have to repaint those areas to cover the marks. I also found a cigarette butt on the ground and no one in my house smokes and there have been no other workers who could have left it. This entire process took over 2 months, some of the delay due to weather. I eventually paid for the gutter cleaning only because I didn't want them chasing me around for the money, but will NEVER call them again and WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

My husband had called the company and was told they would come within a few weeks and was given a quote which was reasonable. 5 weeks later at the end of November, I called to ask them when they intended to clean the gutters. The office manager did not have any of our information but stated she would send someone out to our house the following day. When no one showed up, I called again and was told that they could not honor the quote they had previously given us. She again told me that many "girls" had worked the office and she could not vouch for what we had bee previously told. STAY AWAY folks! read more

I can't tell if this was a joke or a scam. For $303.10, two men came, sprayed my gutters with a hose, and left in about 30 minutes. I'm not sure if they even removed my gutter guards. They failed to notice one of my downspouts was not connected to anything and just leaning against my house (I reconnected it to the masonry). Several of my underground drains were completely clogged (I dug them up myself and replace them myself). read more

We use John's for our yearly gutter cleaning. They do a very thorough job and test proper drainage through the downspouts by washing the gutters with water. They also repaired or replaced our damaged gutters and fascia boards when needed. It's not the cheapest local provider but one which we were overall always very satisfied with, also in comparison to other gutter cleaning and installation companies. As it was all outside work, we did not depend on an appointment time to be present at the time of service. They did their job and left the bill. read more
