I've passed this spot many times, driving down Lone Tree and finally decided to stop by on a warm Sunday afternoon. Nice, clean and bright space with friendly staff. The price for a scoop is $3.50 and there's a lot of unique flavors. I was torn between the Ube and Chai but opted for the Ube. It was a nice texture -not too heavy and not too icy. Perfect portion for a weekend treat. There's not a lot of seating, so it's more of a grab and go spot. Steady stream of customers but they kept things moving. If you follow them on social media, you get an additional 10% off. Not much to say about ambience it gives off old school ice cream parlor vibes. Just to be clear: Ice cream and front of house staff are great! 5/5 stars!!! **Owner during this visit was NOT great. 2/5 My family and I come here all the time because we can't get enough of the quality and flavors of the ice cream. We always talk about how cool it'd be to own an ice cream joint! You would think the person owning an ice cream spot is someone who's kind, caring, warm, appreciative, and respectful to his guests and staff. This place presents itself as a family friendly establishment so that's just the assumption I'd make. I am fully aware this owner is not the original John's, and thank heavens he is not because I would be even more disappointed if so! On 6/20, on $1 ice cream day, the owner was present. I was excited to meet the man behind this establishment, but was left disappointed. His vibe was off. As he was setting up, my bf was sitting at one of the tables outside. He asked "is this yours?" (In the direction of my bf's backpack) And my bf said "yes! Let me move it." However, afterwards, the owner grabbed the whole table of our things and began moving them somewhere else so he can place this table of posters for people to sign. My bf goes "oh- you're moving the WHOLE thing" , and the owner didn't even respond to him. One of the young staff kindly acknowledged my bf's comment since the owner ignored him. (Obviously it wouldn't be a big deal if he just explained clearer, but the fact that there was a miscommunication and he didn't bother to acknowledge it even while standing an inch away from my bf was flat out rude.) Secondly, the owner appeared very cold towards his staff and was so adamant for them to get these huge posters signed/filled in by the guests. I understand that in running a business it is great to get guests involved in signing these posters, but his tone seemed unfriendly & demanding (right in front of all of us guests btw), and he didn't even spend a second acknowledging those of us who have lined up early to get in. There was nothing inviting or appreciative about his presence. He kept saying "I need these signed because I'm going to post all over social media." It rubbed me the wrong way. The vibes I was getting were "I'm a business man who cares about the money and the social media likes, but could care less about the people who run the show or give us business." Next, he started throwing this huge gathering in the back room where the staff enter/exit and was bringing in what appeared like family and friends. They were blasting music, drinking, enjoying each other's company - which was great for them. Truly! But it just came off strange and unprofessional to me because his guests would have to squeeze between allllll of us in line. And as they're having a kickin time, all the front of house staff were hard at work. The only time he went up to the register was to ring stuff in for his family/ friends. I only hope he at LEAST gifted the actual staff a pizza or something to thank them for their hard work. Because from the outside looking in, it didn't look right to me at all. read more

(This means yummy in tagalog) found this spot wandering around the Brentwood area with my sister, what got me was the different flavors you can't get in most places from reviews of other Yelpers. The flavors we got were cashew Lanka (jackfruit), buko Pandan (this has coconut in it) thai tea and apple strudel ice cream. Holy s**t, soooooo yummmmmmmm.... OMG.*salivating* it was so good we legit went back the next day and bought a pint of both. Oh, did I mention single scoops are ok only $1.75!?!?!!? We got double scoops for $2.75. Both our bowls came out to $5.50 in total. If you want a pint of iceream I think it was about $6-7 dollars each. At least that was for the buko Pandan and the cashew Lanka.
