After reading reviews, I decided to give HL Johnson Mulch Co a try. I needed a lot (15 yards) of mulch for my garden and trees. I stopped by their office, they appeared friendly. I ordered 15 yards of brown mulch. They stated the mulch was coming in two days. After two days, no mulch. I called, they stated "its coming today.'' No mulch. A few days later I called again, they stated ''its coming in a few hours,'' no mulch. This happened a few more times in a stretch of two weeks. I finally spoke with the manager TWO WEEKS later. He stated he was not on the same page as the scheduler but that he would try to get it soon....They finally ended up delivering the mulch (no heads up on time). The brown mulch I received is mixed with A LOT of rocks! Found a brick paver, shovel handle, a rotted board with nails, some glass, wires...I called the manager 5 times since and left messages. No answer. No returned phone calls. Called the office lady, no help. I'm shocked at their lack of customer service, their lack of professionalism, and their poor quality of mulch.
