The location was a recommendation from a bike rental shop with a free beverage coupon. My group visited here because it was recommended and near the ferry so it's easy to get to after dinner. Order is with a cashier, and food is delivered to the table. We got our own water and utensils. The atmosphere was very casual. The food was good. The pork crackling on the dirty fries were so crispy good. The heirloom carrots came with this tzatziki sauce that was a great dip for the carrots and fries. We had a nice lunch here while in Sausalito. They are located right on the water. As stated on their webpage, the restaurant is a beer hall and rotisserie located on Sausalito's waterfront, known for its communal atmosphere and craft beer selections. When we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted. We studies the menu you on the wall before ordering. You order at the counter and then they give you a number to put on your table. When your food is ready, hey deliver it to your table. Both my husband and I ordered the 1/2 rotisserie chicken plate. You have a choice of a salsa verde or romanesco sauce to go with your chicken or pay an extra $1 for both sauces. I chose the both sauces and my husband chose the salsa verde. We also ordered a cup of the cream of asparagus soup, a side of cabbage and kale slaw and a straus creamery chocolate milkshake. The inside is spacious and has a lot of communal seating as well as smaller tables. They have seating on the deck by the water as well. We picked a table and enjoyed our view of the ocean while we waited for our food. Our food arrived hot and fresh. Everything looked so good. The cream of asparagus soup was my favorite of the whole meal. It tasted so good. Next time I'll opt for the bowl instead of the cup. The rotisserie chicken was hot and juicy. I'm guessing they give you the sauce because the chicken doesn't have much seasoning on it. I tried both sauces and didn't care for either one. The salsa verde did not taste good at all. It definitely didn't taste like any salsa verde I've had before. The romanesco sauce had no flavor. It was thick and pasty but tasted like nothing. I should have just added salt to my chicken. I ate the chicken regardless and it was good. It just needed some seasoning on it. Each chicken plate came with salad on the side, which was very good and roasted potatoes. The potatoes were amazing. I've been wanting to try the fried chicken sando for a long time and it was fantastic! Super crispy chicken with arugula and fennel on a toasted seeded bun. I got the chipotle aioli on the side. The fries were ok, I probably won't order them again. I got the lychee and guava drink which tasted good. A friend got the potato and leek soup which she devoured and another friend got the salad with rotisserie chicken. She loved it so much that she ate everything. I want to try the it next time. The indoor seating is a bit cramped. We sat inside since it was a chilly day. There is outdoor seating on the back deck next to the water and near the entrance along the side of the building. Parking is kind of a pain. There is parking next to the building but you have to download an app in order to pay for parking. We also got the hummus garden plate which was better than I anticipated the hummus was tasty and the pita chips were fantastic I love me a girl dinner plate for lunch! They were very busy on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, but we were able to snag a table on the (dog-friendly) patio right away! The ambiance was awesome and we loved being right on the water. Unfortunately, they only had a two types of canned Best Day Brewing beer - nothing on tap. We got both the Hazy IPA and Kolsch, which were solid. For food, I chose the Burrata and Butternut Squash and my partner opted for the Joinery Burger. The Burrata was good, but not super memorable. My partner said his burger was awesome though. I came here for lunch one weekend afternoon. Line was out the door when I arrived 30 minutes after opening, but the line went fast and we got seated after ordering. Food came out pretty quickly after. The food here definitely describes California cuisine. I tried a variety of items, the 1/2 roasted chicken plate, fried chicken sandwich, porchetta sandwich and the dirty fries. 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate came with a side of roasted potatoes, an argula salad, and a green sauce with half chicken. Chicken was moist but not salted enough, however, they do have condiments you can season with to your liking. Overall, decent portion size. Fried Chicken Sandwich: It had a good size fried chicken piece with a spicy aioli, shaved fennel and arugula. It was pretty well flavored and filling. The sandwich itself comes with no sides, so you would need to add on a side if you wanted to. Porchetta Sandwich: It had sliced pork with cracklings and drippings, some greens and a dressing on a ciabatta. Flavor was okay for me, a bit light. Dirty Fries: It is garlic fries with pork belly and cracklings. I wish there was more garlic and that that the cracklings would be crispy. But these are decent fries. We thoroughly enjoyed our sunny summer weekday lunch at the Joinery as part of a day trip by car to Muir Woods, Sausalito, and Marin Headlands. At 12:40p on a Tuesday, there was a short line out the door, but it moved quickly, and we had our food by 12:58. The system is "fast casual" where you order at the counter and take a number to a table that you choose (1st come, 1st serve) from either indoor or outdoor options. We went for the outdoor option overlooking the gorgeous harbor and were lucky to snag a shaded biergarten-style 4 top at the north back corner of the building. Joinery is described as a gastropub, and I'd say that's right. Craft beers and super-fresh, high quality, homemade dishes using classic ingredients grown as close to home as possible is what they serve. People rave about the rotisserie chicken and salads. Prices are spendy but pretty normal for the SF-area. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. My poached tombo tuna conserva on ciabatta roll was a *perfect* sandwich that I will never forget. The moist & mild white tuna portion was HUGE and the accompanying fresh produce, aioli, and vinaigrette were enough to push the whole thing to spectacular. My guys ordered burgers and fries, which they devoured with glee after our 6+ mile morning hike. My KSA Kolsh from Four Point Brewing served as an enjoyable appetizer and dessert for the meal. We loved the atmosphere here, a picturesque location filled with happy people who are living their best lives, for at least this hour. We saw lots of multi-generational families, international visitors speaking several languages, and cyclists who appeared to be on tours to Sausalito from SF. From the Joinery, we had a lovely stroll down the waterfront all the way over to Vina del Mar Park and back before we got back on the road for the rest of our scenic trip to the various Golden Gate viewpoints and around the headlands and up the 1 to Stinson Beach. When you enter, a view of the kitchen is to the left, a large menu is on the wall in front, & to the right is the order counter. We also had a cabbage kale slaw which was not good. I do not recommend the cabbage kale slaw which has a lot of mayo and very little kale. It tastes sour like lemon juice and it would have benefited from having more kale in it. It's just basically a very plain cabbage salad with a lot of mayo and lemon juice. Not tasty and not healthy. I should have ordered the arugula potato chicken plate which would have been healthier, tastier and cheaper than adding slaw to the chicken ala carte. As for the promotion of a small free beer after biking 8 miles to get here, yall should just put the ounces on the ticket directly, because this isnt a small beer. Its an 8oz half pour. A small beer is a 10oz pony. The food was good- the chicken sandwich was dry but the sauce did make up for it- but for the damn price you could get double at a fast casual spot. We were looking forward to eating here for quite a while. Although the location is wonderful, our experience was not. We ordered three dishes, of which two had to be discarded. First, we found a black hair on the lemon of our brussels sprouts, and then when I cut my chicken sandwich in half, there was another short black hair. I went to the counter, and I politely showed the man the hairs. He barked at me that I had to talk to the kitchen manager and marched me into the service area. The kitchen manager's explanation for the hairs was that it was a windy day. The hair color found in our food did not match either of our hair colors, just to be clear. Then he asked me, "what do you want". Not very service-friendly. At this point, I had lost my appetite and definitely did not want a replacement. I was refunded for the two dishes and paid for the third and our two drinks. Although the third plate ended up getting tossed because we had our concerns. I have to comment on their pricing. One of the main dishes we ordered was an "impossible burger". A regular burger - 4k Ranch 100% grass fed beef is $18 without extras. If you substitute your beef for an Impossible patty, it is 4 dollars more. $22 for a vegetarian option; if you want fries, you have to order them separately, so add another $6. Went here last Saturday on the hottest day of the year (so far) after a too long hike. Frankly I was prepared for the worst, line was out the door and water front establishments don't tend to put a lot of effort in on food when they're selling the waterfront. To our surprise the salads, tacos, and burger were all excellent. The tacos especially were spicy and smoky. I hate when pulled pork tastes like stainless steel and low effort, these are the opposite. Tons of smoky woody flavor and a good amount of spice on them. We tried 3 of the salads and everyone was again surprised at how fresh and complex the salads were. Super flavorful and very freshly made. Burrata & Butternut Squash was a stand out. Beers were excellent as well, nice array of draft options. It's great to have a contemporary place in Sausalito on the water for younger people to enjoy. I will upgrade to 5 stars when they add umbrellas/awning to the side of the building seating so we're not sitting in full sun. read more

I like that the kids meals automatically come with veggies and fries, rather than a choice of one (which will always be fries). I had the big summer salad, which was, indeed, big. And delicious. Loved the guacamole and grilled cheese. I only wish the tables were bigger--they're a tight fit even for four, and we were a party of six (at least two were small!) Nice sized pieces of chicken breasts are used and fried to a good crispy breading. The chili aioli is very good but it does get the bun a little soggy. Also ordered the dirty fries, garlic and pork belly and cracklings. They don't hold back on the garlic, as anyone I talked to the rest of the day would probably agree.
