Everything from Macrons, ice cream, pizza, dim sum, moose burgers, Hungarian fry breads, sushi, and you name it. There are several good restaurants around it as well. Super family and kid friendly. Some places have their own tables and there is a center area where the whole gang can find their feast and meet in the middle. Most of the food places close around 8 PM so maybe not a late night spot all though there a several places serving adult beverages after 8 PM. Most of the food court places do not serve alcohol so grab your pain killers from one place and food from another. If you are in Oslo, carve out a lunch or dinner time slot and figure out how to eat here and try a little something from several places. Most definitely eat here and have fun!!!!

But, ambience was nice - no air conditioning however - on one of Oslo's hottest days on record. So all in all, a tiring trek for average food at high prices. We will pass on this next time.

There is a section in the middle of the store that has warm, prepared foods (pasta, some dish that looked like it could either be a falafel patty or a eggplant or chicken parmesiana) and right next to it is a section of cold prepared foods (salads, sandwiches). They have a wide range of drinks from yogurt drink, to milk, soda, beer, juice, tons of tea, coffee, espresso choices. Crackers, cookies, cakes, breads, meat, fresh produce, household goods... very much your grocerystore/bodega/pharmacy hodgepodge... you're sure to find what you are looking for, otherwise, you can cross the street to the real pharmacy or to the Cafe de Luca down the block.

I didn't want some chips so they had to be taken off and it didn't show on my side. Well, instead of dismissing my concern - the cashier guy got up and looked then explained it would show on my final receipt. I'd definitely would return to buy from any Rema100. Yet, I expected the prices to be more akin to Aldi's in the US. They have packaged meats, fish and et al with preprinted pricing right on the top. They accept cards with chips.

Smaller than supermarkets in the US (but most supermarkets in europe are smaller) but has basically everything you need (just not as much selection in each item - ex: the selection of brands to choose from). Guys probably like this because it forces us girls to shop faster (less to look at and decide from lol). In general if your on a budget and staying a few days in norway, its much much cheaper to get groceries and cook for yourself so try... and get a small studio apartment with a small kitchen where you can cook in and it will save you some money. Overall, rema1000 is a supermarket you'll find everywhere in oslo. Its small, but has everything you need.

The platter had a good amount of shellfish that I felt full sharing it with my husband. There were 1 langoustine (steamed), two live shrimps (steamed), a large king crab body and 4 legs (?baked since it was more dry), 2 snow crab legs, and two large scallops! All super fresh! There are plenty of sauces and condiments to make ethnic foods (since the first things my mother and I hunted down was soy sauce and rice). I tended to come here for bread but elsewhere for dairy based on price. Of course, all their products are great quality. The selection of BAKING ingredients in Scandinavia makes me weak at the knees. God no, I speak not of the sugary, extraneous sprinkles or toppings, but the sheer variety of baking flours that makes ICA the local mother of baking if you're into solid, heavy, flavourful breads. Why can't Trader Joe's sell 10 different types of wheat/rye flour?
