The…read moregirlfriend and I came here one Saturday afternoon to eat and shop whilst on an excursion in this fine metropolis. We took an uber ride here from our hotel in Polanco, and the ride was less than half an hour. We took our time perusing the many shops here, and were pleased to see a wide array of brands, both high end and midrange. I would say that this shopping center is on a level between Antara and Palacio de Hierro. On the upper levels are the many great restaurants, of which we chose El Bajio. Check out my review for that restaurant in the near future. The staff and patrons here are great, and the place is safe. There is an excellent selection of stores here. Come check this place out sometime.

I love coming here and browsing the shops. You'll find your typical U.S stores and brands like…read morePottery Barn, Lego store, etc. The stores aren't cheap though and you'll pay more than in the U.S. They have fancy department stores such as Liverpool and the Palacio de Hierro. It has a terrace level with lots of eateries (highly recommend!) There's something for everyone at Perisur. My only heartache is that there's not enough benches throughout the mall. After shopping all 3 floors, you wanna sit down. The only spot is really the food court. I liked that the food court had charging stations throughout. They also have one of my favorite bakeries, El Globo INSIDE THE MALL! it's not as big as the other locations but it satisfied our bakery craving.

Do not mix it up with Mercado de Coyoacán (an actual market with cultural goods and local eats). This is an ultra high-end mall with some really cool statues and art sculptures, fancy departments stores, some nice restaurants, toy stores, clothing stores, and more. It's multi-level and semi-outdoors in some areas. Some high end stores here included Cartier and Hugo Boss. The bad: We came to this mall by accident at first because our Uber driver took us to the wrong spot. We ended up browsing it anyway before going to our actual destination. The interesting: Plaza Centro Coyoacán was the old name but they closed a few years back and are now called Mitikah.

There's all kinds of food options from sushi to churros! El Moro is an old school churreria and very well known. Well they have a location here and honestly the best location for churros! the churros were excellent, 10/10! They were thin, soft on the inside with a good crunch on the outside. The cinnamon/sugar mix wasn't too heavy but just enough. The hot chocolate was a traditional Mexican hot chocolate and frothed (a must).

So, SIL said we should go check out all those souvenir stalls in the market area but wants to come back here just to browse. This is no little café, it is a fully competent restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner served to your table. When we entered, we felt that the inside temperature was hotter than the outside. My cousin was there for probably good 2-3 hours searching through and trying on clothes. I found a cape jacket that looked really elegant. I searched the US Zara website to see if the price is the same--but it turned out that the jacket was cheaper here by around $30. The employees don't speak English and I feel like they refuse to, but my cousin and I knew our basic Spanish to get around. She found several clothes for work and I got the cape jacket. Good deals! Only down side was the store was really hot.
