However people of all ages who want to get their dance and their drink on find their way here -- especially as the night blurs into early morning. Internationals somehow make their way here as well. It's one of the only places that charges cover / entry fee. The average is 10 tl which includes one drink at the bar (a mug of the beer on tap or a shot of liquor). Don't be surprised to find people dancing on tables or banquettes. It's difficult to score a table unless you arrive early (perhaps 10 pm) have friends who've staked out a place, or become friends with people who have secured a table. Bathrooms are fairly gnarly but staff try their best to keep 'em clean. It's usually a sausage party so the ratio of guys to ladies favors the latter :) Finding quality guys is a different story :( beware of douches! The house band that performs live covers of pop music is SURRRPRISINGLY good. That female vocalist can sing, and the saxophonist does a good job. The resident DJ is ok as well.

While I was there, the music ranged from good 60s and 70s rock, blues, jazz, 90s alternative, to reggae. This place reminds me of Portland or Austin in the US. You'll see a lot more tattoos, irregular piercings, and well worn band t-shirts than anywhere else I've been in the country so far. Prices are decent; you can get a touch cheaper beer at nearby places, but the atmosphere and ground floor outdoor seating is worth the difference to me. Plus, the non-beer drinks were well priced.

When I think about the decor, I think of George Orwell's 1984... retro chinois style wallpaper (red, gold, black, etc.) and wooden chairs & tables. There are a few booths for groups... If you insist on talking during the music sets, please sit in the backroom with Marilyn Monroe. (decently clean bathroom!)
