I was coming to the store to get one item, and I knew exactly where it was. The two young girls…read morethat were inside closed the shop early. Online it says they are open until 9 PM, and they told me 8 PM but when I had shown up, it was 7:50 PM. I asked if they could please just open the door quickly since they closed early so I can grab the one item and pay immediately; they refused. One of the young girls was apparently the manager and she was giving me attitude, was insanely rude, and rolling her eyes at me. She looked Latina with glasses, short, and curly hair. I would never go back to the store due to the way the so-called "manager" treated me. Paying customers should NEVER be treated this way...

This is a not to be missed store in downtown Lake Worth Beach. It has so many different items you…read moremight feel like you are in a museum of unusual things. Yes, there are tourist souvenirs, different gifts, trinkets, and memorabilia. And many of the usual items you'd find -- like t-shirts and jewelry -- but with a unique twist or sense of whimsy or of humor. There are so many different attractive items you won't know where to look first. Then amidst it all are the vintage and collectible items. And even some antiques. There's a back room of vintage clothing, too. Always seeking out a bargain, I found myself sifting through a large sale basket of costume jewelry -- all for only $3 each -- and discovered three items to bring home. We also had a nice conversation with the owner. He told us a bit about his history. I was curious about the mix of new and old items. He told us he even has customers who collect certain things and will approach him to help fill in their collections. If you stop by, allow yourself time to browse as you'll discover a new treasure in every corner. And probably find something intriguing to take home.

Usually you have to go to a comic con to see merchandise like this so it was nice to see that downtown Lake Worth has a full time store. Darkside has over a 1,000 collectibles on display. They also sell modern and vintage toys, Funko Pops, action figures, comics, games, backpacks, collectibles, autographed merchandise, and records. During my visit they were having a $10 sale on the Funko Pops. I loved their horror collection but they cater to all franchise fans like Star Wars and Marvel. You can buy, sell, or trade with them. This is really unique store to have in this area so come out and support them.

We signed up years ago when we used to go to Cocoa Beach every July 4th weekend and there were two large stores (one for women and one for men) that we found ourselves stopping at each time we were in town. In fact, my husband used to find bargains here in the men's section -- shorts and shirts on sale at ridiculously low prices. Prices and stock have changed a bit over the years, however. I wanted to stop by as I had a 20 percent discount coupon that I'd received via email to use during my birthday month. Although I haven't had much luck at Beall's with ladies clothing, I have had some luck in their accessories department. I looked through their cosmetics. I looked through their purses. There were some big-name designer ones at a huge discount. The Kate Spade purses were lovely although not my style. And I looked through the shoes -- as I've purchased some Tommy Hilfinger sandals in the past that I wore for years. I wasn't that successful. I wound up buying a small item in their health and beauty section. My husband found a great set of Wi-Fi headphones (that he's already used). The discount I received made our purchases even more affordable.

Because of the small size of the store, it's not stocked as full as a WalMart or Target but you can find clothing, small appliances, baby items,toys, pet items, perfumes, accessories, and home decor here. But I accepted their fee and they ignored my follow up emails. Only contact I got was that my item was shipped and that its out for delivery today. Company has yet to get back to me and is dishonest. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as they place customer service on the bottom of their list.
