My wife "Does this development have a gym?" Tammy "Yes it does" Result: No gym in development. Had this been a must have we would have been horribly disappointed. 2. Me: Tammy where is our purchase contract, the lender needs it to lock in the 4.25% interest rate" Tammy: Calls with her lender Tim to try and pressure me into using him and his much higher and costly loan. Result: Interest rates increase to 4.37% costing me an extra $32+ a month or $12,000 over the life of the loan. 3. Me: "What does this COE +3 on the contract mean?" Tammy: "That just means the seller can stay in the house 3 days after closing" Me: "Should we put something in the contract so if they decide to stay we can get compensation ?" Tammy: No I wouldn't worry about it, sellers rarely use the three days and if they do we can work it out at closing" Result: Seller decided to take the entire 3 days forcing us to take two days off work and our current landlord charging us for rent $265.81 3. Me: Aaron, we discussed this with Tammy and feel she did not know the laws and cost us $265.81" Aaron: I will talk with Tammy and if that is true, we will reimburse you for the $265.81 Result: Never sent the check like he promised 4. Tammy: "If I sell you a house, you get free pizza for life" (She owns Pappa Murpheys pizza in Eastvale" Result: No pizza for life 5. Tammy: "You can use our home inspection guy" Result: Spends less then an hour doing a half ass job. Missed cracked A/C pan (Clue: Steady leak from overflow drain pointed out to him) cost $2,000. Missed bad recessed lighting fixtures in kitchen (Clue: lights are dim when turned on and get brighter. Also pointed out to him) Cost $75 to have electrician tell me they need to be replaced. Cost to replace $1,000+ So pretty much Aaron and his team just tell you what they think you want to hear, wether it's true or not, work with half ass crooks (Tim the lender got mad because I shopped other lenders and Tammy told me the other lender would rip me off and not be ready for closing. Guess who we were waiting on the entire transaction.........clue it was not the lender or escrow, or inspections. And lastly Aaron is not a man of his word as he told us he would send us a check and after multiple messages to him NOTHING. I found the house, pretty much kept the deal on track the whole time and Aaron took his commission for doing pretty much nothing. I could have downloaded and filled out the standard contract they used. This pretty much reinforces my previous belief that real estate agents are useless crooks. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crooks and better yet Notice how Aaron didn't respond to my negative review? That's because he has ZERO defense and would rather rip you off then do the honest thing.

This also added additional difficulties once we began the process of closing on our eventual purchase. Connecting with John: We found John through a family referral. The initial discussion about our situation was easy and painless. We became fast friends with John and he made the interaction more like speaking with a friend rather than a pushy realtor. The Search: For about 3 weeks our search was a bit passive. We made 2 trips down to the Los Angeles area attempting to narrow down the specific neighborhood we wanted to live in. It took John only his second house until we found the exact area we knew we wanted to be. (Aka, he truly listened to the characteristics our family had as priorities). The House: We landed on 2 homes in the same neighborhood with the same floor plan. Each home has small variations that we needed to consider. John not only made sure to set up times that were convenient for us (remember we were living in NorCal at the time), he even went as far as touring the home prior to our arrival and sent us a video walk through with detailed commentary of his expert experience of things we should consider. That level of detail gave us the confidence we needed and eliminated any wasted time. In person, we could focus on the "feeling" we got in each home and the details of each property. Once we decided on which home to choose, we made our offer. John guided us through each step and was available for phone calls outside of business hours to make sure all of our questions were answered. The Close: Minutes from the acceptance of our offer, John magically had a bottle of champagne delivered to our doorstep. Again, we were in NorCal 300+ miles away!! He made the celebration feel like we were there with him in person. During the timeframe of inspections and final details, due to our distance, John acted as our stand in, along with local family, to ensure everything was done to our liking. From inspections to contractors, he was meticulous about every detail to ensure everything was perfect. Move In Day (Night): I was scheduled to be the first person in our family to make the trip to our new home. As I drove up my new drive way after a 4.5 hour trip, I unlocked my door for the first time to smell a fresh and newly deep cleaned home (thanks John! - another nice added touch). My fatigue vanished as I realized, what could have been a nightmare, was in fact a dream come true. The view from our new home was the perfect finish to a perfect experience. Why John: His approach is what realtors should be - client first! He never made us feel pressured. He treated us first class from every step. From lattes at the start of every showing, to deep cleaning our home minutes before I stepped foot in it for the first time, he made us feel like we were the most important clients he had. Even after we closed and moved into the home, he stayed in contact (even to this day) to make sure details and questions were answered.
