Dez, who weighed me and took my vitals, was fantastic--she has a comforting "scale-side manner" that made me feel at ease, especially as I transition from swimsuit to sweater season! I explained that this was incorrect, as I had already completed an ultrasound elsewhere. I had called the office twice prior to the appointment to confirm that my report had been received, and both times I was told it was on file. However, upon arrival, I was told they did not have the report. Fortunately, I had brought my own copy to provide. While I was attempting to clarify this issue at the front desk, one of the staff members abruptly and loudly stated, "my medical information and history" in front of everyone in the waiting room. This was extremely inappropriate and a clear breach of my privacy, as my personal medical information was shared publicly without my consent. When I calmly expressed that this was unprofessional and not appreciated, the staff members mocked me, closed the privacy screen, and proceeded to make unkind and unprofessional remarks about both me and my husband -- comments that we could still clearly hear through the window. After this, I requested the office manager's contact information, including their name, phone number, and email address, so I could report the incident and resolve the matter properly. The staff refused to provide that information, which I believe is another violation of my rights as a patient and a failure to allow me to report a serious concern. In addition to the privacy breach and unprofessional conduct, the appointment itself was incorrectly scheduled, and I was nearly charged for services that I did not request and should not have been billed for. The entire experience was distressing, unprofessional, and unacceptable for a healthcare environment that is supposed to prioritize confidentiality, respect, and patient care. I then called them about a week later to see if I could get the office managers email and phone number and was refused again. This was insane.

I went in for ingrown toenails, and immediately…read moreafter the doctor Tidwell looked at them for 5 seconds and goes, "How attached are you to your toenails?" we could just take them off. I'm like I just came to get them trimmed cause it hurts too bad to do myself, so he just explains what ingrown toenails are like I'm a 5 year old, and after ignoring everything I say, looking at me like I'm stupid, and continually touching my toes I told him were hurting causing me more pain for 5 minutes, finally agrees to just trim them. Then he starts to go for my toes, I told him my toes hurt too much to just start cutting, so he goes "oh yeah we'll numb them for you" and backs away. The doctor leaves and the stupid nurse puts the needle in my toe, without holding it still, so I can feel the needle moving in my toe. Even without it moving it hurt So bad, like someone was sticking a knife in my toe. It hurt less when I tried to rip the ingrown toenail out at home. They didn't even tell me it would hurt at all. I cried and screamed, but this woman just sat there still not holding my toe stable and actually SMILED! and tried not to LAUGH at my screaming pain! Then she goes, would you like some water? Like that would help. Then after she did that four times for my 2 big toes, blood dripping down and waiting 10 minutes, the top of my toes still weren't numb, so the doctor grabs another needle and just moves to stick me in the top of my toe. I pulled back and said No, He sarcastically asks what I'm gonna do if the top of my toes aren't numb, I said GO Home! I would literally rather rip them all out myself then feel that pain again. After waiting a little longer they still weren't numb, so he put little tourniquets on my toes and said they MIGHT help but they'd need them to help stop the Blood anyway. I'm thinking you're gonna make my toes bleed so much they need Tourniquets?! I've only made my ingrown toenails bleed twice, and that's what brought me to my breaking point. So I told him I was done and going Home. I had bruises from the needles for days!

I have been worked on by both Mr. And Mrs. Whittaker and would recommend both to anyone with any problems. They do more than adjust you and send you on your way, they give you exercises to do, tips on how to sit and so on. Need essential oils for pain? They have them. Need arch supports? Done. There are a number of chiros in Cedar City and some seem to have a bunch of good reviews on those random, rate-your-doctor websites that no one uses and they're all written in the same tone. (I'm a writer and that seemed suspicious to me). I took a chance and called. I explained to the friendly, helpful woman who answered the phone that I am under a chiropractor's care and just need an adjustment. She was knowledgeable, empowered (no, "let me check with the doctor and get back to you") and they had an appointment available in less than two hours from when I called. The address is wrong on Yelp. It's at 555 S. Sunset Dr. now. I tried to correct it, we'll see if it takes. The office is warm and light, there are two aquariums which are kind of relaxing. Dr. Tyler was friendly, jovial, warm and thorough. The cool thing about this office is you tell them what works for you, not like some chiropractors who will try to convince you that what you need is what they sell/do. I like deep, thorough hands-on work which is what I got. If you want gentle, they have that too. I felt SO much better when I walked out (headache gone in time for lunch!). I'm glad I went to Dr. Tyler and will likely be back before we leave Cedar City! Thanks Dr. Tyler!
