Located towards the end of Orchard Square, this TK Maxx store is fairly large over 3 decent…read moresized-floors, as well as feeling slightly more spacious and modern than other branches. For me, one thing I hate about TKMaxx is that they tend to resemble a jumble sale, mainly of tatt, but this branch which surprisingly hasn't been reviewed since Qype days eleven years ago is an example for stores in that sense, that becoming more modern, and spacious of course increases customer satisfaction and the overall experience. I didn't find much staff around the shop floor, which was a shame. They had two sets of dressing rooms, I presume for men and women which was handy. The selection was pretty much average for a store of its' size, the location is in Sheffield city centre close to Waterstones in Orchard Square is good too. Pretty much average clothing store, albeit it is one of the best TKMaxx stores I have visited. 3*

Possibly the tallest TK Maxx I've ever been in, this is over several floors. There's a big atrium…read morein the middle which takes up a lot of space so unfortunately there isn't as much of the good stuff in there as I'd like. Some of the departments feel very claustrophobic and crammed in, whereas other parts feel quite spacious near the atrium. There are several places to pay which is good as it gets really busy and crowded. There are great bargains to be had if you can be bothered to spend the time to look for them.

I discovered Guat Shoes at The Lambeth Show in Brockwell Park. I have wide feet with a high instep…read moreso comfortable shoes were always hard to locate. They drew around my feet and discussed te height of heel I found comfortable. Then the choice of style and colour. I had never known that before so I chose black. When the shoes arrived they reminded me of the smell of a new car. They fitted and I didn't need to wear them in with leather expander. I enjoyed walking in them. I received notices to inform me that Guat Shoes would be at The Dulwich Show with pictures of a wider choice of styles. Then I was adventureous with the range of colours and ordered a purple boot. I was advised not to but I did not understand feet like Guat shoes. The boots were comfortable to wear but not to walk in. So I realised Guat shoes knew my feet better than myself. Then I ordered white shoes and was sent leather samples to choose from. I was able to mix and match my shoes to my outfit. As I tend to scuff my toes on London Underground stairs I found polishing coloured leather was not as effective as polishing black so I ordered black toes with a coloured body. So practical the shoes looked like new after applying scuff cote. Being creative I made silver profiles to attach to my laces for special occasions. With a safety chain to avoid any mishaps. Guat shoes can be personalised to your feet and your style. To be honest your first pair does seem expensive but you save yourself the discomfort of painful tight shoes. The stress and expense of trekking around shoe shops where nothing fits properly. Maybe the shoe that hundreds have stretched trying it on fits but the other is too tight scenario is avoided. In fact with Guat Shoes nobody else has worn your shoes so no risk of foot infections. To be honest Guat shoes are so comfortable you forget your school years of being dragged around shoe shops for something that fits. All you have to do is get someone to draw around your feet, measure your toe bone and instep provide a cheque or card and wait for the especial aroma of new leather. Guat shoes really put your feet first.

About 12 years ago I came across GUAT shoes at the Sidmouth Folk Festival and my wife bought a pair…read moreof sandals. I have trouble getting shoes to fit 'off the peg' so vaguely enquired about having some made. I got a pair of plain black shoes, took about six weeks, they fitted perfectly and despite being worn at least a couple of times a week since and being resoled once still look almost new. I ordered another pair in a different style a few years ago, they had my size and shape still, those fit straight off too and still look like new despite being worn for work every time the other pair aren't. yes they sound expensive at around £100.00 a pair but I've had 12 years so far and they're still fine. previously I would have had a pair of not very comfortable shoes at about £40+ each, each year - simple sums say they've saved me 2 or 300 pounds. By the way the wife's sandals got worn until they fell to pieces and we're going to order new tomorrow.
