I built a new home with Edge homes 14 years ago. Jones Paint and Glass installed our windows. Several windows had failed and become foggy. 2 of my neighbors had their windows replaced under warranty. So I called JP&G and explained my situation. I was told that my glass was under a 10 year warranty and the window frame a 20 year. They claimed this was a glass issue and it was past the 10 year mark. Which didn't make sense. If a window is foggy then the frame has obviously failed and the gas has escaped. I researched this. They sent someone out and said they would give me a discount but it was still very expensive. I talked with my neighbor and he said to contact the window manufacturer directly, which I did, and I am now getting my windows replaced by the manufacturer for free! I feel like JP&G should have known this. They work with this manufacturer! It felt like they we're being deceitful. they should know what their manufacturers offer. I asked my other neighbor about her experience. She had called a different glass company to replace her windows not knowing about the warranty. They looked at her windows, told her they should still be under warranty and took care of all of it for her at no cost to her. That was the honest thing to do! My large sliding glass door was really hard to slide back and forth & the lock was really hard to open & close. Stephanie Adams was really helpful in getting me to John Gledhill who came out & replaced the rollers & fixed the door handle that hadn't worked right since the door was installed. I got a bid on window installations about 10 months ago for around $7000 and then got one about 1.5 months ago and the stucco price went up around $2400. I got other bids from other places and prices stayed about the same. (they matched it but i also still had the first bid and they said "sorry we weren't trying to screw you over) When they came to install the windows the measurements were measured differently and had to call the seller to come double check things, anyways, they had to cut in to the sheet rock about 1.5 inches in which i wasn't told. When installing windows one of the workers said to the other "if they need us to come fix it we will come back". When I heard this I asked the worker what he meant by that. He got upset and said I was hovering over him the whole time and then proceeded to say "do you want to do the windows since it seems that you know how to do them". The other worker with him was awesome and was receptive when i'd ask questions but the one that was upset for me watching them do windows and ask question (which they ask a homeowner to be present for these reasons) I would not recommend. read more

Jones glass store is the worst ever. I requested an estimate an estimate for new windows in my home on their web page, nobody ever got back to me. So then I called them on the phone and set up an appointment for someone to come measure my windows and give me a quote and they stood me up. They never even showed up for the appointment. I will be contacting the owner just to let them know what flakes they have working for them and I will go with another glass company. read more

So our windows came from Jones paint and glass they also installed them in our new home st sun River villas, we have cold air that you can feel the air movement, so we called them he said that was normal, we are in our 69+ and have never had air we could feel coming in. We lived up north where it got -20 in the winter and never had air coming in. He kept telling us this was normal and talking to us like we are stupid. If this is normal do not waste your money buying window from Jones Paint and Glass. The builder told us that we wouldn't hear anything from outside when I asked about the sounds from air conditioners and the close proximity to our neighbors, he said the windows we use you won't hear a thing, well that might be what Jones told them the truth is we hear everything out side people talking dog in there house barking from across the street the a/c units the maintenance workers. I know Jones is the biggest in town but you will be sorry. His fix for us was to stuff something into the window to block the air, so I did, it looks like sh-- read more

My wife and I are building a home in North Utah County and have visited both the American Fork and Provo Jones Paint & Glass stores to look at windows and doors. We found the selection, displays, and customer service at the AF store wanting when we visited there before the holidays, but figured that was okay because it is not their main showroom. This afternoon we drove down to the Provo store to check out the Marvin windows and doors. As we drove up to the store we thought they might be closed because all the lights were off in the East showroom, however, we found the door open and upon walking in, I flipped a couple of light switches and we were good to go. I could hear voices over at the service counter as my wife and I looked at doors and tested various windows and I kept thinking that someone would come over to ask if we needed help or had any questions. Nothing... I then walked over towards the service desk and made eye contact with the two kids at the counter who were talking about tuition and books, but they could not be bothered to acknowledge us much less say hello. We then made our way in front of them and took a long look at the shower doors, thinking that for sure they would come over and say something. Nothing... We were in the shop for over 20 minutes before we left, completely dumbfounded by our experience. I get that it's a Saturday and that their main sales team is not in the store on weekends, but if you're going to have employees staff the store and have them sitting behind a customer service counter, it seems that they would at least have the courtesy to greet people when they walk in, even if they can't be of any help. read more

Called 4 times to get scheduled. Finally got someone out to install a bathroom window and it was wrong size. They Renae sure and another month passed to get installers to put it in. Window still not right size. My wife was here when they put it in. Put 3/4 inch caulking to make up the difference and my son could have caulked better. I need to replace 2 sliding glass doors and another window. Not going back. read more

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a simple bid. Not getting any support other than empty promises for help but no follow through. After reviewing others comments I can see a trend. This process has been a train wreck. We chose Jones over Anderson because they are a "local" company. The windows took 16 weeks to manufacture but I can understand that since everyone is backed up right now. The concerning part was the installation and horrible communication. The installation was a cascade of problems that was first rate. I don't recall working with a company with more dismal communication, less compassion, and less response to issues that are basic. For example, if you tell your customer all 25 windows should be completed in one day and a lift will be provided for the second story but the team shows up with no lift, scaffolding, and missing multiple windows that is a basic mistake and shows tremendous lack of internal communication. They only completed 12 of 25 windows. My office window was ripped out of the frame but pushed back into place and screwed back together because they said the new window was not included in the trucks (only to actually find it at the end of the day). I can literally feel the wind and dust coming thru the frame now and I am told that it will be weeks before they can come to finish the job. They actually wanted to schedule if for August (ordered the start of Feb and 1st installation was May 26). Seriously? How in the world is that acceptable? Why wasn't a second day scheduled as a contingency? Why has the lack of foresight become my problem? We pulled all blinds off and now have to reinstall them until lthey can come back only to go thru this again? I am storing 13 huge windows in my garage now and need to keep them for weeks to months until they can find a scheduler that can make an appointment for us? This is completely unacceptable. But the thing that really set me off and got me online is the apparent apathy for our situation. No willingness to be creative or find a solution. Simply, sorry not sorry, that is just how it is! If I had to give anyone advice that is looking to work with Jones it would be to ask all the questions and get it in writing before you sign on the bottom line. I am truly disappointed with the lack of concern or customer support and I would not consider working with them again unless some serious concessions are made. I have been a customer of Jones Paint and Glass for 20 years. Recently we have been building a new home. After struggling with the cabinet maker to get the right color of stain, I finally turned to Jones Paint to get it right and they did! It took Justin at Jones about 10 minutes and he had the perfect color! He helped us with a door color, balauster color, and wall colors. We used Jones and Benjamin Moore paint for our last home. The paint still looked new on that home when we sold it after living their for 11 years. Love Jones! read more

I cannot recommend Jones paint and glass in Provo. I can give them one star because their installers have been respectful and polite while in my home. My experience with sales and office staff has been very poor. Incorrect measurements, not coming with all the pieces needed and having to come back weeks later can all be forgiven if not for an office staff that won't return calls and is dismissive when finally gotten ahold of to fix a problem post-instalation. Look for another window company, this one cannot be recommended. read more

Never seen such ineptitude. I had them measure some theoretical windows for a possible future quote and asked them to put then on a separate invoice so I wouldn't be charged for it. They bundled the invoice anyway and I was charged for a couple of windows I do not plan to use. This has felt like a scam from start to finish and I have never dealt with people who are so bad at their jobs. read more

Their website CLEARLY states they offer window tinting, but when I requested a quote, I received a broken english email stating they do not offer that service. Can they ever get it right? I have been working with Jones P&G for about 5 months, and I am not impressed with them at all. 1. Ordered a door and 3 windows from Annabelle, she said they need a lead test performed, 3 weeks later windows are ready but had to wait an additional 2 more weeks because Annabelle forgot to order the lead test. 2. Ordered a door and 3 windows that they promised they would have delivered together, brought the windows but forgot the door, brought the door a couple days later, left it out in the elements instead of under the porch so it got wet, had to wait for it to dry before I could paint it (at least they remembered to put on the primer). 3. Back to the windows, I left Annabelle detailed instructions on which 3 windows to replace, and they took out one of the wrong windows. Should have been obvious to them because I ordered a non-tempered window and the one they took out, legally had to be tempered plus the detailed instructions I left Annabelle. I addressed my concern with Annabelle and she gave me nothing but attitude over it, took it to Gary Jones and got a free window replacement out of the deal for the screw up with his apologies. Thank you Gary Jones! 3. Ordered 12 more windows (the rest of the windows) and a double door, takes another month, windows were going fine, half way through the window installation the installer says, he had to come another day because they scheduled him to work on another house, told him I took the day off specifically for them to get all the windows done, his response was usually there are 2 or 3 guys on a job and they only had him available so he wouldn't have been able to get it all done today anyway. You would think if I order all these windows a month in advance Annabelle would have done better at scheduling it. So I have to take another day off for them to finish. At this point I don't want anything to do with Annabelle and ask Gary to handle my orders from now on, he said he would be more than happy to do so, he also grabbed a lady by the name of Veronica and said that she will be taking care of a bunch of the load that Annabelle did because it was too much for her to handle. I thought all well and good, maybe I'll actually feel like a customer again instead of a guinea pig. 4. The double doors I ordered with the windows finally comes in, I take a good portion of my day from work off to pick up this door, looked at the door and told them repeatedly that it doesn't look like the right size, they swore up and down it was, I finally gave in and said put it in my trailor and maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, Gary Jones shows up right when I am about to take off, I voice my concern with him and he takes out his tape measure (novel idea!) and measures the door, lo and behold it is 10" too short. 10" whole inches! I waited an extra 3 weeks for this mess up, I had already paid for it or else I would have just walked away at that point. Gary promises to fix the issue and I will get the door in less than 2 weeks, 5. I got a call a week later saying my doors were in from Veronica, I was very surprised they came so fast, so I asked her to verify that they were really mine, sure enough they were not, glad I asked so I didn't waste another 4 hours for nothing with them. 6. Finally today, I got another call from Veronica saying very proudly that she measured all the dimensions and that everything was correct, I asked her to make sure the correct door was drilled for a door knob and again there was something wrong, she said that she left very detailed instructions and her supplier didn't follow through with them and that they will give me $90 off if I take the door that wasn't done correctly. Yes, you can take that $90 and shove it where the light doesn't shine. Those were the major issues but I had several other small problems along the way with Jones P&G that if I list all of them would be twice the novel that this review already is. NEVER AGAIN DOING BUSINESS with this company. read more

I called Jones Paint and Glass second and their quote was so much lower to replace a car windshield than their competitor that I cancelled my other appointment. I expected great things from JP&G from previous experience and they did not disappoint. They were easy to work with, on time and quick. AND, they didn't have to replace a small strip surrounding my windshield so they saved me even more money than the original quote. In the end, my bill was over $100 lower than their competitor's quote. I am a very satisfied customer. read more

Their advertising is great!. Their customer service is terrible! They tell you that their customers mean everything to them. Just try to get something from them after you have paid. They will eventually find a way to negate all your valid claims, telling you that they can't help you. Some way to keep a customer base. Customer beware! Jones Paint came out (Gary) and measured our old aluminium patio door, gave us a price that included install and finish work. Much more reasonable that the BIG BOX store gave us and was installed (Mike) by workers who do this type of thing every week. Very happy with the sale, the product and the install job. Thanks -- Would look this way when redoing any window. Their job was great. They have done re-screening of a # of screens over the years and I have had the same great service. read more

I am so frustrated with their customer service. We will never be using this company again. We own a business and had the front door fall off the hinges. We called to get a quote on a new door, they said they would send someone out that week. A week later, my husband called to find out if they were still planning on coming out to give us a bid. They said they would add us to their schedule. Another week passes and they finally send someone out (this should have been our first clue). The guy giving the bid said it would be a couple of days before we get the bid back. Nothing was ever sent to us until we contacted them about 1 1/2 weeks later. We finally receive the bid and tell them to go ahead and order the door. They tell us it would be 6-8 weeks before they could install (2nd clue we should have gone somewhere else). We ordered the door the first week in July and by the middle of September we still had not heard anything. My husband calls them (again) to find out the status on our door. They tell us we are on the schedule for a week later, yet no one had bother to tell us. We write down the day they are coming thinking they would call to let us know a time frame of when they would be there....nope! They show up at 7:00 a.m. calling saying they are there and no one is there (well maybe if you would communicate with your customers there would have been). The door ends up getting replaced, bill gets paid a month later, the lock on the door breaks! We try to contact the company, we leave messages and guess what....NO ONE GETS BACK TO US. We end up calling another company that sends out someone that day to fix the broke that Jones Paint and Glass should have fixed. Theres another $80. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE QUICK AND RIGHT!!! read more

I tried in vain for weeks to reach someone at Holliman Siding to ask some basic questions about the thousands of dollars' worth of windows they just installed in my new home. Finally, I called JP&G yesterday on the outside chance someone there would be kind enough to help a non-customer figure out a few things--and "Michael" was back to me within ten minutes with all the answers to my questions. Wish I'd instructed my builder to order through JP&G to begin with! Perhaps this acknowledgment will send some well-deserved business their way. read more

My husband and I walked in to look at new shower glass surround. I had made eye contact with 2 people in the office - nothing. Then the front desk guy just stared at us and walked in back. After nearly 10 minutes of walking around looking, we went and rang the bell. A salesman came out and asked what we needed. Then he proceeded to tell us that he couldn't really tell us anything - that is what the installers were for. Finally I just said, "nevermind, if you don't have time to go over options, we can go elsewhere." Then he perked up and walked over to the shower doors and started going over all of our options. Very frustrating customer service experience. Our neighbor broke a window in our bedroom which we immediately took to Jones. I had had a positive recommendation from a friend regarding Jones Paint & Glass, but my experience was anything but. They assured me that my window would be completed by 4:30 that same afternoon. My husband came home from work early so that I could pick up our window, only to find out that they had not even begun work on my window. I called back the next morning to ask that a technician come out and install the window at no cost. I felt that that was a reasonable request seeing as how they did not keep their word. They ignored my request and said that they would leave our window outside of their office for me to retrieve after hours. I went again to pick up my window and it had not been left in the area they explained to me. I am very frustrated and still windowless in 90+ degree weather. Very, very frustrating. read more

We purchased Jones paint and glass windows and doors for our New home from St George Jones paint and glass. we purchased this not much over a year ago. These windows and doors are very very very poor quality, the leak cold Air, Dust and dirt. So much cold air comes through it can blow out a candle. They are also so hard to open as well. Our French door we purchased as well from them will not seal completely closed at top of door. We contacted St George Jones paint and glass with not much help. The manager blamed it on our area we live in told us wait until it builds up around you, you wont have a problem then. So we waited for homes to build up around us which it has we still have a problem our neighbors do not have any problem with air. They also sent a service man out to put weatherstripping in our new windows to fix the problem they still leak air, dust and sand. We contacted the manager again and he told us that we should not have purchased such low end cheaper windows from them !! That is not what we were told when we purchased them from the Sales rep at the St George Jones paint and glass, we asked if they were LOW E windows and energy star rated he told us that they were. Very Very poor quality windows and doors !!! Pretty sad to spend all that money and get very poor quality windows and doors! read more
