Unfortunately I didn't hire Ms Spilbor . I hired Sharon Faulkner a friend of my ex-wife's attorney. She repeatedly gave false information about taking advantage my declining health much as my ex-wife had. I know this to be true because I taped my conversations with Ms Faulkner and reviewed them with a close friend who's been an expert witness and whose sister was divorce attorney. She told him if I made a complaint to the they wouldn't do anything about it because she pays her dues. She was right. read more

I called this place twice with a potential lawsuit and both times they did not even have the common courtesy to give me a return call. If you don't want to take the case the least you can do is have the common courtesy to call the person back and tell them that you are not interested. Lawyers are not cheap and if you're shelling out that kind of money you want to feel that you have their attention and that your case is important to them. read more

I was billed by this law firm on 12/13/2021. I was wrongfully informed by reception that I would only be billed if I canceled the appointment. I was then informed to send police report documents to an email as I was seeking an order of protection from my ex. After sending emails, and phone calls my court date was approaching. I had not heard from the attorney. On my court date I made a final attempt with the office to speak with the attorney, I was walking into the court house when I received a very brief call from the attorney. As I have never done this before I was very confused as the terms he quickly threw at me and we ended the call as I was now in the court house. Due to not being formally prepared, a public defender represented me in court and I eventually retained a different attorney that I have been working with since. I would not consider a rushed 5 minute conversation as I'm walking into court, a consultation to be billed $350.00. I called the office and spoke with reception in the matter, she said it didn't seem right and she would talk to the attorney and get back to me. I never heard back. I disputed the claim with my bank. Their bank refused the dispute. I'm out $350 for no reason. Someone involved in a domestic after dealing with enough of a stressful situation, to be out of $350 for absolutely no reason other than they're just money hungry. I used Jonna Spilbor for a traffic situation that needed legal presence. I was impressed at first. The initial meeting went well, I was given the run down of what to expect, cost, etc. As the trial developed, my satisfaction with this practice diminished. I believe I was in court a total of 5 to 6 times. Each time, I had a different lawyer who I had not met previously. The last 3 or 4 of them were not versed in my case and I had to explain the details to them before going into the court room. The last lawyer I was assigned towards the end of the trial, told me numerous things to expect. Based on what he told me, I proceeded accordingly. After the trial was over, there were negative ramifications to the decisions I made that were definitely not made known to me by my lawyer. I contacted the Jonna Spilbor herself after the trial t voice my concerns, and my concerns were ignored and not replied to. I would advise any and all to seek legal services elsewhere as I was misled and very disappointed in the services I received. read more

Awful, arrogant people. Stay away!! Recommended this firm to my daughter, whose husband walked out on her after 15 years for a divorce. She met with a male attorney at the firm who spent all of 5 minutes with her, was rude, nasty, and basically laughed her out of the office telling her "you can't afford us" and to go to legal aid instead. So first, way to victimize a victim you POS. And then there's this .... Her mother COULD afford you and is paying for the divorce. So screw you. Stay away from these people. Stay far, far away. Absolutely wished I never used this law firm for divorce and was planning to switch and sue for malpractice but Jonna herself stepped in and told me all correspondence will go to her after I complained that no activity was happening except invoices being charged to me. My simple divorce should have taken no time but 13 grand later, three years later and 4 lawyers from this firm, I finally got my divorce official. Don't let the fame fool you. The firm is more worried about their fame and reputation vs really caring about their clients. Divorce is hard enough. YOUR lawyer should not add to the headache . Do not, under any circumstances, use this law firm. You may think the lawyers here care about your case, but after they get the retainer, they will ignore you to the point of frustration. My boyfriend hired this office to handle his divorce; twice he found out about a court date from his ex, not from his lawyer! They did not return calls, they did not follow through on the items that were discussed in pre-court meetings. If you are looking for "the right lawyer", that lawyer is not here. Associates are unprofessional and office staff sent my documents to my soon to be ex's house, repeatedly! When I went to court, my attorney was late and showed up looking like she had just left the club. She stammered and mismanaged everything that we had discussed. I ended up having to not only pay MY fees but my soon to be ex's because my attorney had been so lax on getting documents in and correctly. They put the incorrect address on my documents more times than I can count even after I had mentioned it multiple times. They even changed my soon to be ex's name on the documents. read more

What a waste. They set you up with a consultant who they say is going to be your person. However, you pay $250 to sit with someone for an hour and then they pass you off to another atty and do not let you meet that person. They then ask you for a retainer of $3500 in this case, but you STILL have not met your atty. Yeah, you get the picture...We walked out. Not getting my money!!! Let someone else pay for all of that advertising. read more
