    I'm Blessed B.

It's very near the Metro and tons of parking. They have variety of selections. I bought the Halva pistachio flavor, found it too sweet. Ambiance is chill, clean.

We decided to try and make Lebanese food for NYE and needed ingredients not easily found at our usual grocery stores so we came to Jon's. What a fun grocery store! It's filled with all kind of goodies and staples from across the globe. On this trip we tried to stick to just the ingredients we needed for our NYE recipes but we did manage to put a few other extras in the cart...like Annato and Sazon. Jons has so many different types and brands of Annato...I was like a kid in a candy store...actually our entire experience was like that. We'll definitely be heading back soon to see what other yummy goodies we can find.

Since they removed my picture :)

The lemons were horrible and nobody checked these in probably weeks. It takes time for lemons to come out this way

I'm always on the lookout for great deals on fruit and I hit the jackpot this week. I'm so glad I saw their ad for navel oranges at .89 a pound and bananas at .39 a pound. The bananas were still slightly green and not a bruise in site. The taste was perfect! The oranges were medium sized with a beautiful orangey hued peel. Explored the hummus section and found an interesting combo of cilantro and jalapeno. Sounded yummy, but unfortunately the taste was lacking in jalapeno. Bought some pita bread (6 slices) for .59 to go with the hummus. You will definitely find quite a bit of international baked goods. Today was definitely a good shopping day. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot.

The cashier who discriminated against me, closed her line in front of me, then went ahead and checked this dude out.

Today I stopped here after work and was thinking how I should shop at Jon's more often... Until I arrived at checkout. I was in line, had been for a min or two when the checker decided she's was closing the line and put the sign in front of me. Not behind me, in front. Ok, no big deal. I moved to another line where I heard this same cashier rudely tell people she was closed. But then for some reason, she rang up one more person, a guy, after turning me and other people away. As I was still standing in the next line, with my groceries, waiting to be checked out. Just today I was in a class where we discussed how every negative experience someone has is spread by word of mouth. And if only 10 people had these experiences, and talked about them, that statically it would lead to about 30,000 other people hearing about it, and also associating your business with that negative experience. I have a disability. I may not look like I do, but looks can be deceiving. Today it was very difficult for me to do my shopping, to be honest I wasn't sure I could make it to the bus stop. I was worried o was going to have to call someone or Lyft to pick me up. And for whatever reason, your checker decided that me (and my disability) needed to wait and were not important enough to check out, while some other person could check out instead. Jon's I hope my review and negative experience reaches at least 30,000 people. That my 1000 Facebook friends all spread the word and let their friends know you discriminate and have rude employees. Also, I'm a dietitian, who helps patients shop. I will not ever be recommending your store to any of them. I will be uploading a picture of the employee, who was not wearing a name tag, and the guy she did check out!

Jons marketplace of the building isn't the manager helping his customers what's a helpful way? This place was unsual shopping with my card it gave me a nice taste of organized inside and outside. It's racial profiling because of the looks the area manager gave the decision he's not affiliated with me I gave loud mouth because I was doing friendly suggesting around the store the manager was doing until I got displaced with how many managers got up close and personal to look at someone made me feel uncomfortable I was outraged I didn't get any greet other the an rude from the crowd control and not even a site of officials on the spot who could hire on the spot! I would just like to show my skills of working there and be able to help all without attitude or ever disrespectful. I even seen customers not get accused on their way in and out but they really start to stare when them managers start having a little Convo with cashiers and don't make the long entrance short I mean sum everything up about what you have to say this wasn't the spot to have chit chats it needs to be respectable not offensive because of the fights that don't seem to happen at store and u got to think of starting a riot manager please be.

Avoid buying lamb from this store! They have brought in a batch of meat and are selling it as New Zealand lamb, but the quality is terrible!

Parking can be a bit tough at times because it's always packed! The restaurant has a lot of seating as well as a patio outside! They have a pretty decent size menu and a lot to choose from! When you walk in you wait in line and if you're ordering fish, you can pick out which one you want. After they write up your order, you pay and then they will call your number when it's ready! We normally order the tilapia fish, Camarones enchipotlados, the shrimp tempura plate, garlic bread and steamed rice. There hasn't been one time where I left hungry! They give you good portions and everything is so tasty. The fish is cooked to perfection, the shrimp and the chipotle sauce is to die for and the tempura shrimp are so yummy! Overall, this is a place where you could come over and over again and never get tired of it! If you're looking for great seafood in the LA area, definitely checkout Alaska Seafood, they will not disappoint!

Customer service was nonexistent and they wrote nasty things about my dispute. I'm sure that they have good fish, but they didn't send it to me. Turo Turo, Point Point hot foods counter only:…read more East Hollywood branch of Island Pacific Filipino Market looks clean and new. with a rather extensive Turo Turo counter. Nearby Point Point Joint closes by 7pm so Yelping made me discover that Island Pacific was in the same parking lot and closes at 9pm. I was a bit leary to try out Pacific Island food counter since, in general, it had only 3.4 Yelp stars, but for the items that I had selected, it turned out fine. The 3 item combo is a lot of food. It was enough for three meals which is a deal. 1) Lechon is roast pig with a delightful, extra thin, lightly crispy, crackling skin. Just underneath is a touch of gooey collagen that adds contrasting texture. The thick white meat is moist lush, porky with a hint of sweetness & pleasant chewiness. There are bits of flavourful fat interspersed here and there that adds to wanting to eat this with steamed white rice. 2) Hamonado: Pork rib meat is braised in brown Toyo/soy sauce, vinegar, patis/fish sauce, sugar. Long cooked meat is soft yet has a good chaw. It's kind of a sweet & sour dish that reminds me of a super charged Adobo stew. Another dish that begs to be paired with palate cleansing white rice. 3) Adobo na Manok: Solid chunks of chicken stewed in vinegar, Patís, Toyo with hints of garlic and ton of aromatic, piquant black pepper that really made this dish sing out. 4) Lumpiang Shanghai was already prefried so that the wheat wrapper around this thin roll filled with ground pork, garlic, Patís lost its crispness. But the flavours were solid. Standard accompaniment of thickened sweet sour sauce. 5) Bicol Express is a stew of fatty pork meat simmered in rich coconut milk. The flavours were good, but it was extremely salty which ruined this dish. Wish that the cooks would taste their own created dishes to monitor quality control. I will add vegetables and resimmer the Bicol to try to dilute the saltiness. Only real fail of the five due to carelessness. Btw, like most Malayo-Polynesian cultures, fat in food is considered be a flavour enhancer adding richness. Back in the day, the added calories fueled farmers and sailors to do the hard work. After all, this culture populated and traveled all the way to Madagascar, Hawai'i, New Zealand, Rapa Nui. They were the greatest sailors until 1,500 years later when European expansion with more modern technology finally eclipsed the daring Pacific Islanders. Pacific Island market is a good fall back alternative when I arrive too late for the Point Point Joint. I'll have to check out the rest of the market to see what other Filipino food products are available. 4- stars

They ended up having probably 20 ish people in line by the time they opened. They had Cape Cod and Maine oysters the day we went. We decided not to get any since they were market price and we had other oysters in similar regions before so decided to focus on the other dishes.
