The other apartment communities I've lived at, I could say a lot of negative things about! Starting with the staff, Danielle was the one who gave me my tour and processed my application, lease, etc. She was so sweet and communicative throughout the whole process. It made me feel really confident in my decision to sign a lease at the Daymark. Once I moved in, I felt really welcomed by the community! My favorite parts of the community were the amenities. Specifically the North clubroom + gym . The views are amazing, it was a great place to watch the sunset over Bde Maka Ska! Facing the other way, it was a great view of Uptown & Downtown that is so motivating during a workout! There was also a courtyard with string lights and seating all year round. In winter there was an ice skating rink with free skate rentals! You could also rent out these spaces for an additional fee which I did once and it worked out great! In addition to being great property, there were a ton of really awesome community events. There were donuts every Wednesday morning and usually a party-type event once a month. They always went all out with inflatable rentals, open bar, and giveaways. My favorite events were the summer movie nights in the courtyard with movie snacks and drinks. They would also invite local bands and food trucks to park on the property and host occasional local markets. It was great living in a place where there was always something going on. I remember one time they even provided a free breakfast because they wanted to thank residents for their patience during a false fire alarm! Aside from Danielle, I have to say other staff members: Taryn, James, Cindy, and Jessie were also really great! The custodial and maintenance staff were also so nice! 100% recommend the Daymark! Again - not a single bad thing to say about it!

On top of those "living details" their leasing office staff is top notch. And that's not luck: I've lived here for over two years and there have been a couple of people in the leasing office and different maintenance people and all of them have been incredible. I think that's because of the building management company. The leasing staff live in the building which means that they actually care and know about the place. This isn't standard when it comes to apartments in my experience. Mitch & Kayla in the leasing office have been outstanding-- they are readily available, friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The cleaning staff (Marta-- always friendly and such a hard worker), maintenance staff (John with his wry sense of humor and excellent maintenance skills & Darien with his positive energy and helpfulness around the building), and even the mailman (Scooter-- who has been serving this area for decades) are all awesome. The management company and their choice and culture of the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The staff exceed expectations and are very friendly even when thing go awry (which happens in housing-- a flood, maintenance, etc). I really loved my experience here and only moved to switch from renting to home ownership. I highly recommend this building to anyone interested.

I lived at Tula at the start of September 2019 to the end of the lease 09/20. I overall found the…read moreexperience to be OK. I initially moved into Tula because of the warm and welcoming office staff, specifically Hilary. She was a big part of the reason I chose Tula to be my home. I was extremely saddened when she was no longer in the office downstairs but I would still see her from time to time. The living space is very minimalistic and modern. I personally did not like the concrete floors as they always looked dirty and were extremely hard to clean and keep from being stained. I originally did not sign up for concrete flooring but ended up switching units and was not informed of the concrete floors, but I moved into the unit anyway and ended up regretting it. Personally I feel it is a bit overpriced for the space that you were given but you are in the heart of uptown so I guess that's what you're paying for. I was also there during the riots and had a front row seat to everything outside my window, it was a little bit scary but I definitely support my city. As a minority I felt extremely judged and unwelcome living at Tūla, especially during the riots. Even more so after putting up George Floyd signs on my balcony. The amenities were fair as well. The gym is a bit small but it has decent equipment, the rooftop is really nice but I always found a lot of people to be up there and it's not that big so I didn't really get to use it that much. The parking was kind of tight but I drive a TAHOE so that's not surprising and I have found that to be true in almost any apartment I live at. Once the pandemic started they weren't really going easy on rent payments for us residents. I could barely make my payments once I lost both my jobs. I offered to pay partial payments until I was able to secure another job but I was called almost immediately by somebody else making sure that I understand that I am obligated to pay payments in full and what not. I ended up doing that from that point on, but could barely pay for food and other responsibilities. I just thought during a world crisis my "home" could be more accommodating but sadly I was mistaken. at the end of my stay I was charged an excessive amount for what anyone would perceive as wear n tear. I asked every single person in my family and that I know if the scratches on the wall would fall under excessive damage or wear n tear and they were all surprised to find out that to Tūla it was in fact excessive damage. Overall I felt my experience at Tula to be OK I wouldn't recommend it to a family member but may be a friend. Much love to Hilary, someone who made my stay a little easier!

On move-in day, the management team was extremely helpful assisting with any questions or issues that came up. They were prompt and responsive, and their online portal made the entire leasing process smooth and easy. West Lake Quarter has a great selection of amenities and is surrounded by many walkable attractions. The location right next to the greenway is perfect for walking, running, or biking. I often make use of the community bikes available to rent - it's a fun way to explore with my girlfriend. This is a very pet-friendly complex, so I'm looking forward to having dogs here in the future. Maintenance requests are simple to submit online and the team is very quick to resolve any problems. After finishing a recent repair in my unit, the maintenance staff even left a nice handwritten note, which I appreciated. I'm thrilled to be living here and plan to stay for a while. The property managers, deserves credit for being so helpful, efficient, and friendly. This has been an awesome apartment community so far!

I lived there for 15 months in a wonderful apartment on the 11th floor with spectacular views of the lake and the golf course. In truth, it was one of the best things about living in Minneapolis, says the California born man very much opposed to thee snow. Also, as an older, well constructed building there is a great deal of quiet in one's apartment, relative to the newer buildings across the city and the apartments are very spacious as well. You'd pay 3 to 4 times as much in San Francisco for this apartment! That said, I highly recommend living at West Lake Quarter, The Original.

All its members are friendly professional and on top of things. From cleaning to maintenance to just going the extra mile, they have been amazing. And my renewal with Dana was a breeze. She cannot be more professional kind and friendly. The facilities are top notch. Gym and Yoga room are excellent, of si were picky I'd say next thing for gym is an online trainer TV. Again that is being picky. Everything is beyond we one could need for a great workout. Common areas are perfect. Spacious, modern, clean, easy to reserve where applicable. Parking is very affordable and one has no idea how valuable this is until winter has been set for a couple months. Location is perfect, close and easy access to highways and parks and close enough to drive or uber ride to uptown and even downtown. Supermarkets, pharmacy, parks, fast food and restaurants and within walking distance. Apartments are modern, spacious and quiet. Balconies are perfect size. The community is a mix of young professionals and some small families. All respectful, friendly and some outgoing. I guess we perceive differences depending on where we have lived in the world. Above all everyone is nice. Rules are enforced with a friendly heads up and us as tenants we have a duty to keep things clean, organized and within such set rules. I am thrilled I found this place to live! I'd recommend it in a second!
