I've been a JAB customer for 10 + years, and rarely had any issues with quality, wear, or fit and finish. The new cotton shirt and pants lines containing stretch fabrics that are very thin, don't fit well, don't feel right, and have a very cheap appearance.! Today I thought the store should be named Jos A. Bait and Switch. I received a promotion on my phone listing "Traveler" shirts 2 for $60, which is a good value. We get to the store to be told only those that are cotton are on sale. "But," I said, "the phone promotion shows all the Traveler shirts, including those golf shirts of polyester." No, they said those are $45 each and not included as a sale item. They said their computers wouldn't let them. They were obstinate about it. So I said "forget it" and walked out. Got in my car, pulled up the promotion, ordered the two shirts they wouldn't honor, and you know what? I purchased them both for a total of $60. And free shipping. Pretty dubious business running on their part. False advertising? I won't be going into that shop anymore. It was embarrassing. read more

A dreadful experience. I recently made an appointment to get fitted for formal attire at the store in Boynton Beach. I arrived on time, but although the store had confirmed my appointment by email, the two sales persons on duty knew nothing about it. I spoke to the sales person who approached me, a young woman who was dressed as though she was going to spend the day cleaning out her garage, not spend it selling high end apparel. I mentioned the appointment and asked whether she was the person to handle the fitting process. She said I should wait for a manager, then left immediately. The only other sales person in the store was at the cash register dealing with a customer. When she finished that she came up to me and I asked her the same question. She told me that the person who was best at this process was the young woman who had just left, but that I had been very rude to her. I was baffled - all I had done was ask the young woman whether she was the person to handle my appointment. The 'manager,' if that is who she was, continued to berate me for my supposed rudeness. I turned around and left the store without a backward glance. It was the middle of the afternoon and at that point I was the only customer in the entire store. It seems to me that a store in that situation can't afford to alienate customers, but obviously the people who work at this store think it's fine to do that. I will not go back there. As a person that works in finance and wants to dress the part but also really enjoys putting on a nicely tailored suit or tux, I have to admit that I was a little hesitant when a buddy of mine sent me to Jos A Bank to get a custom made suit for his wedding. I usually buy suits at designer shops, Suit Supply, etc. Luckily Carl was there to assist me, listened to exactly what I wanted, and when the suit was delivered I was blown away by how much I loved it. Carl is not one of these guys that just measures you up real quick and throws an ill fitted suit on you trying to convince you it looks good. He spent a few hours with me. Also, he's like an old time haberdasher, helping me come up with color schemes, accessorizing with pocket squares and tie combos. I'm now convinced that I can get the same quality and better service at my local Jos a Bank, assuming you deal with the right guys. Marcos is another guy there that really knows what he is doing and has knowledge of current men's fashion. Super helpful as well. I'm ordering two more custom suits with them in the next few weeks. read more

Horrible experience. My friend is getting married in a couple of months. First red flag was when they couldn't find the group the groom had set up. Second strike was when they almost sold me a jacket with a hole in it, third strike was they sold me the completely incorrect suit color. The whole process has taken about a 1.5 months in order to get the correct suit. To add insult to injury, I've had to drive 1 hour to this location each and every time. Over it, I'll fly to the next closest location to avoid having to deal with this location again. I'm still waiting to get my suit, they didn't have it in stock so now I have to wait again. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

We had an amazing experience with Daris like Paris without the P. He was spot on with everything we needed for our daughters wedding. My husband was so pleased with the service quality, price and time spent with us. We were not an easy crowd. If you ever need a suit, shirt, pants, socks, tie, bow tie, shoes or tux for any occasion go see the staff in this location. This is the only place we will go to for our needs. On a side note we went to men's warehouse in Fort Lauderdale and we felt like they only wanted to up sell us to a custom suit because my husband is a large size. This is the only Jos A Banks to shop at. The staff here is incredible. I got lucky enough to work with Daris (I'd recommend asking for him) and he's a legend. He will work his tail off to get you exactly what you need, when you need it, how you need it. He makes a potentially stressful process seem easy and will keep things going smoothly. You need something else done? He'll make it happen. I know I can be picky about things, but he was extremely patient. The whole team works together, so Marcos even jumped in to offer some magic. Just an overall great experience. I also worked with the manager who was excellent and even jumped in on the tailoring, but I didn't get his name. Everyone went above and beyond. Just not the same. For many years, I purchased most of my clothing from Jos. A. Bank. I have been migrating to another brand. The quality of the suits has deteriorated. The selection of merchandise is more limited. Many amenities have disappeared. The staff is not as professional. Sales are not communicated well. In store sales apparently differ from those offered on the website. They seem to want the customer to purchase more from the website. (I really don't like purchasing clothing online.) Used to be a very good brand. Sad to watch it deteriorate. read more

My corporate job required a tie, suit or sports coat Monday through Thursday. I previously shopped at Saks, Nordstrom's and Brooks Brothers. Hadn't been in a JB's in at least 20 years. Quite a difference when I finally went into one. Bought off the rack and then a couple of custom suits. The clothes were only exceeded by the outstanding service. I went to jos a banks to get a suit for a all black event. Marcos was the first person I dealt with, mind you this was my first suit I ever was going to buy and ever wore. He never rushed me into buying anything, listened to what i was looking for and was patient. I purchased the suit not that same day but a couple of days later. Suit fit like a glove and I was getting compliments all night from people I didn't even know. Top notch customer service under the new senior store manager, Carl. I was greeted immediately by Carl and Seth. Seth spent over an hour with me helping me get the right sizes for my suits. I had a tight deadline and needed all of my suit separates, 6 pieces in total, tailored by the next day. The tailor, Robinson, made an exception and my suits were ready by the following afternoon (the fit and look is as expected.) Ok so let me first say my husband has been a jos. A. Bank customer for almost 10years. We have ALWAYS loved the customer service and quality. Two wins!! Omg today however, we walked in and the salesman was VERY uninterested in helping us. Made us very uncomfortable. Made it feel like we were bothering him.. We were looking for the sales suits because we needed one for Saturday and he scoffed at us saying "oh those aren't usually in the stores".. proceeded to measure my husband and did t even do that correctly. I have been shopping with Jos A Banks since 2017. I did most of my alterations at the Coral Gables store before it closed. Great service, fair prices and great tailors. I have a wedding coming up next weekend, so a month ago I ordered a suit. I figure the store in Boynton Beach would be as good as the one they had in Miami, took the suit in, got measured for adjustment, all good so far. I call three weeks later to check on the suit... suit got lost ! What was there solution? Make me going in telling me that they'll make right. I tell them I live in Miami, and so distance is a factor. No issue, if your suit isn't found, we get another. Instead, when I drive an hour to the store, they tell me they found another suit an ordered it but it wasn't there, so I needed to come back, get remeasure and then we'll see about the alterations getting done on time if I paid cash! I was angry, but didn't want to cause a scene. I just asked for a refund on the alterations I had paid for on the suit they lost. They couldn't even refund the suit, had to call the 1800 number to do that myself. I get that some people take advantage of return policies and good customer service, that doesn't mean good customer should pay the price. I mean they lost the suit, the onus should be on them, not inconvenience me because they did something wrong. I guess if you live close by, all good; but don't travel more than 30 minutes to do business here, not a well managed location. At least in my experience. read more

My dad asked me to go with him so he could purchase a suit. We went last Monday morning at 10:00 am when they opened. Steve greeted us and assisted my dad. Several more customers came in within 15 minutes and Steve was the only salesman in at the time. He handled everyone in a timely and nice manner. My dad and I just went back today to pick up his suit and again Steve was there to assist us along with a saleswoman. I returned some shirts that didn't fit right. First person to help seemed to care less and seemed upset, as if u were inconveniencing him. I said I would leave if it were a issue- is give them to a bum maybe they could use them to get a job.
