My case crossed into another jurisdiction, so I was involved with other attorneys and judges. I have also worked with other attorneys on this same matter in the past -- but without complete resolution -- so I was able to compare her work with plenty of other good attorneys, and I can say she is phenomenal. Yes, her rates are higher, but her work is worth it. I would recommend only going to her if your case is just, though: Her ability to be remarkably candid where others waver brings out hidden truth. She will tell you boldly if you need to get your situation in order, too. Her ability to quickly navigate the conversation to the essential information, but also to help clients who are going through difficult emotional situations, left me with a feeling that I was in very competent hands throughout. When I was looking at several attorneys early in the case, knowing that I needed the best, I asked someone who works with attorneys all the time what he thought of her, since he was recommending another. He said, carefully: "You should know this about Amanda. She... is a warrior," almost as if that was more than I needed in my situation. I could see his point, but instead, I knew that was exactly what I wanted, since this was the second encounter in four years. I wanted to conclude the case once and for all, if I could. That is what happened. When the case was completed, and the judgment was what Ms. Kivett predicted would happen (even though I was worried about other possible outcomes), I knew what the warrior comment meant: Her trial presentation was fierce, intelligent, well-informed, and persuasive. The temporary order from the judge gave our side what Ms. Kivett had requested, and later, the full order went into all the details Ms. Kivett had provided, to make clear why the judgment was so strongly in my favor.

I assume most of these good reviews about Stange Law were written before the case was finished, and I will explain how they do it.   I hired Tina Cox as my lawyer after our initial interview because she sounded competent, very sharp, and seemed like a great person to have your back. As the case went on, I was noticing she was slower to respond to the questions and concerns I was having through email, and never picked up the phone or called me back. Tina would tell me she would file documents with the court and never did. When I would ask her (through email) if she filed those papers with the courts so I could get documents I needed in Discovery. I never got an answer and she never filed those papers. Six months later and I still do not have the documents to prepare for trial. (Now I see why she is talking me out of going to trial.) She would sit on discovery documents for weeks without giving them to me, even when I asked her. And after conversations with her I would have even more questions.   RED FLAG: We went to mediation for assets, which went pretty good!. despite Tina being able to get me all of my records in discovery.A couple days later she asked me to write multiple good Reviews online about her and the firm. I was pretty happy with the outcome of asset mediation that I agreed and said no problem. (I had no intension on writing great reviews before the case was over.) Do you write a review about a restaurant before sitting down and eating? No! So why would I do it before the case was finished. A month goes by and the asset contract isn't signed. The spouse keeps adding things. Tina never offered suggestions on what to take out and leave in the contract. So, I started doing some research and found out things you should never have in an asset contract if you are not the breadwinner of the family.... very scary! With Tina thinking I wrote a good review, her attitude towards my case did a complete 180 without warning. She started getting more brash with me on my concerns over the case and custody of my child. Then she started talking me out of going to trial. She seemed very unprepared getting closer to trial. This made me extremely nervous and anxious.    She would be really vague during our conversations going into trial, making it very hard to make a confident decision and left all the reasoning to me. She is always getting me to sign papers at the last minute before the deadline, putting massive pressure on me with her vague explanations. She would never explain repercussions of those decisions, which made me feel like I was making the biggest mistake of my life and getting taken advantage of.   It feels like she got all of my money and is about to leave me high and dry.....I started looking for a new lawyer before things got irreversible. My ex's lawyer told my ex this about Stange Law at the beginning of our divorce, and I never believed her....Now I have to apologize, because she did try to warn me. Stange Law: they will drag the case on, milk you for all of your money, and leave you high and dry. The opposing lawyer just steam rolls Tina in court. She doesn't give Tina documents requested and Tina doesn't do anything about it. But Tina sure talks a great game. I never felt like Tina faught for me. The scariest thing is, I never said 1 word in any of these hearings, but the judge seems to hate me.....So I'm really confused about this as well.   Tina Cox is the managing partner, so I assume she is in charge of training and managing the other lawyers to be just like this.....This is terrifying! You are a paying customer, do not have to write a review until the service is complete. Good luck. Filed a complaint with Kansas against Tina Cox. She is so methodical when she luring you down this road. She will very much act like she likes you, you will never know for sure until that noose is tightening around your neck. When she calls you, it because she wants to tell you things that she doesn't want documented in case you file a complaint. If you are suspicious, keep everything in emails for documentation.

His preparation for court cases includes searches on the Internet for random items with the same names although items from the Internet without a valid chain of custody cannot be considered evidence. The days in court were worse, he has no comprehension of the law or ability to resolve any problem. His involvement made things worse for everyone and every other lawyer we have spoken with agreed he seems quite incompetent. The first few times we met him he smelled bad and always wore the same exact clothes, a drab very worn out suit.
