The brew special is a classic combo of ham, cheese and pesto which I loved years ago but now wouldn't be my first choice. Still it was well executed with beautifully cooked poached eggs on sourdough bread. Our breakfast took a long time to come but the service was otherwise notably excellent - our server was attentive, friendly and helpful consistently, meaning we had constant water top ups, updates on the food situation and were able to get the bill quickly before our parking ran out. The meat servings on the larger plates chosen by three guests were no larger thawn the others. The large plates simply accommodated more vegetables. Not one of our group of 10 was happy! These are admittedly difficult times of post-Covid and rising prices. The LAST thing a carvery should do is cut back on the meat portions especially whenh aiming to bring back regular, former-Covid customers.
