The hot chocolate was certainly worth it - it's valrohna and basically the best I've ever had that wasn't the very thick Spanish/Italian variety (twss). It was also nice and warming on a crisp day, as were the heaters and thoughtful furry chair liners and blankets in the outside seating area. I was strongly recommended the brew special but actually I think I would have preferred something like my friend had - the chorizo folded eggs i.e. with a little more kick. The brew special is a classic combo of ham, cheese and pesto which I loved years ago but now wouldn't be my first choice. Still it was well executed with beautifully cooked poached eggs on sourdough bread. Our breakfast took a long time to come but the service was otherwise notably excellent - our server was attentive, friendly and helpful consistently, meaning we had constant water top ups, updates on the food situation and were able to get the bill quickly before our parking ran out. She was great and an asset to this nice cafe.

Their menu has a lot to choose from, I've had the eggs florentine and the turkish eggs on a separate occasion. Very delicious and fresh, presumably using top quality ingredients. The atmosphere is pretty neat too, love the cabin-like feel on a cold day. I recommend for breakfast, well done Brew!

I was recovering from a mild cold and was so happy to see their options for a fresh juice with turmeric and fruit. The pancakes were so perfectly cooked, soft and crispy edges plus the fresh fruit on top made it even better. My husband really enjoyed his full English breakfast as well. One of favorite food experiences while we were visiting the area of Richmond.

I did eventually find out that this wasn't the case but nonetheless, the Bill's restaurant chain has gone from strength to strength and they've been popping up all over London Some friends and I popped in here for dinner before a movie at the Odeon next door. The restaurant is cleverly divided into areas by grills and you'll find produce that you can buy scattered around the restaurant The menu consists of British classics with modern twists, mainly with unusual ingredients. It is a well written menu and I can see why the restaurant is successful. By the way, they serve food al day from breakfast to afternoon tea to dinner We shared chicken liver parfait and deep fried calamari to start. Both were solid and a good start to the meal. Oh, forgot to mention an amazing chocolate brownie milkshake. Yup, read that, ignore the guilty thoughts of the calorie count and order one. It tastes as good as it sounds! For mains, it was caramelised pork belly, duck pie and fish pie. Again, all solid though the duck pie could have done with more duck. The most interesting dish was their version of eton mess served with mango and passion fruit rather than the usual strawberry. It was a genius re-imagination Bill's is a solid food destination

Toby Carvery delivers this masterpiece every day. Granted I haven't tried it on every day of the week but I would be tempted to try if I lived nearer to this place. They spoil you with a choice gammon, roast beef, turkey or pork, or even a combination. The vegetables are also plentiful and fresh, whilst the pork scratchings were more crunchy than I'd imagine possible and the Yorkshire pudding light yet humungous. Their desserts are pretty awesome too. In other words, Toby Carvery provides an outstanding, good-value British roast if ever there was one.

We booked a table for 10 on Saturday 14 May to celebrate a 90th birthday (and an 83rd birthday on…read more15 May). Our last visit was pre -Covid about 18 months earlier. The vegetables and gravy were as good as ever. BUT the famous giant batter puddings were undercooked (soggy not crisp) and the servings of meat were very mean. Not one of our ten servings included a complete slice of meat (rolled beef, turkey, ham or pork (there was no lamb)); everyone's meat portions comprised very very thin bits and pieces spread out on the plate. The meat servings on the larger plates chosen by three guests were no larger thawn the others. The large plates simply accommodated more vegetables. Not one of our group of 10 was happy! These are admittedly difficult times of post-Covid and rising prices. The LAST thing a carvery should do is cut back on the meat portions especially whenh aiming to bring back regular, former-Covid customers.
