Full disclosure: as recently as a few years ago, I didn't see what the fuss was all about in relation to Walt Disney World. The movies are fun and many of characters have been ever-present throughout my life, why the need to visit? Then Disney announced an entire "Star Wars" world and it hit me right between the eyes. Kristen and Lesley started planning our January trip last August. EVERYTHING was taken care of. From the time we got on the plane at CVG to the time we got off the plane at CVG, we didn't need to worry. The food was delicious, the "cast members" were helpful for so many varied reasons, the park was immaculate, and the rides and attractions fit our family perfectly. I was a little apprehensive about the rides thinking they might be too much for our 5 & 6 year olds; by the end of the week, Macy was begging us to get on "The Barnstormer" and had her hands raised the entire time, screaming with glee! Matt, the driver, showed up to our home 15 minutes early which was helpful because we had a lot of passengers to organize. The shuttle was much nicer than expected and had a ton of room. Matt then showed up right on time for our departure, although we were running a few minutes late, he patiently waited. The kids said the highlight of the party was the shuttle, go figure! And you think you know a place, right? Anyway, I was enamored by this small ferry, which my family and I took today to get to a restaurant on the other side of the river. We pulled up and waited for the ferry to make its way across to us, and during that time, I looked up the Anderson Ferry's site to learn about its history. Did you know: * The ferry is more than 200 years old. * The first ferry was made of wood, and the paddlewheels turned as horses walked along a treadmill. * It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. * Depending on where you need to go, this ferry can be a good way to bypass traffic on the interstate. * It was once an important way for farmers to take their goods to market. There are no horses involved in the ferry nowadays. We were efficiently loaded in our cars onto the ferry, which can contain more cars that you would think. A ferry employee then went car to car for the $5 fee. You can also pay 50 cents if you want to ride along and traverse the river on foot or $1 to cross with a bike. The ferry is cash only. It took about five minutes or so to make it across, and disembarkment was also quick. It's clear that this ferry is a meaningful and important part of Northern Kentucky, which I'm happy that I now know about.

WW required payment in full prior to the trip, so travelers had to trust the company to provide the amazing trip they advertised. On their website WW claims to specialize in a unique concept of "standard accommodation" with 5 star reviews. We stayed in low budget hotels for 7 nights. We spent 3 of those nights in a hotel that was more like a 60 year old hostel. The bathrooms were musty and had no shower curtain, the sheets had holes, the rooms were cold and the thermostats did not work properly. Breakfast was to be included at each hotel. What a joke! At the second hotel breakfast was cold bread, hard boiled eggs, a banana and yogurt. Nothing hot was offered. WW markets its services to clients by promising educational trips with a fully guided tour, yet a tour guide was not hired for the Acropolis, the most important archeological site in all of Greece. People were disappointed. We were told, by Simone, to google sites on our smart phones and then take turns guiding our fellow travelers through Athens. Most of our activities were freebies meant to fill our time. One day we drove to the top of a mountain and stood under a modern windmill. Simone said it would be thrilling - I was not thrilled. When I got home, I researched the cost of hotels, car rental, and the three meals WW provided. I discovered I could have booked this trip myself for $1,575 less than what Wanderlust/Wanderlearn charged. Simone provided the cheapest trip possible and greatly profited from her clients. I feel cheated.

We took our first family trip out of the country. Kim helped us with every step of the planning. As…read moreyou would expect, she helped us find a great resort and affordable flights. But she helped with much more than just the basics. Our travel to and from the airport was arranged, the documentation needed to enter and exit between countries was filled out, and she even helped us select some excursions. I wanted to take my drone, Kim helped ensure that I didn't require any additional paperwork for that. I had every form and document in my emails from Kim ready and available when I needed them. The evening that we arrived, we found a few minor issues with our room. I sent Kim a text describing the issues, and the next morning, I woke up to a text from her and a text from the resort manager. She handled it, and the resort basically offered us any available room to fix the problem. It was really nice to have someone help with all the little details, especially when traveling to a new place! Thanks to Kim's help, our trip was as stress free as possible. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation.

I saw them every weekend for 13 weeks and although I'm not flying down to LUK every weekend, I miss them! I've never met a group of people that cared that much about a student. I was able to call down at any time with questions that I had. I enjoyed my conversations with Dave, Sharon, Marty, and Onie every weekend. But about the class: It was well structured. Any questions I had were always answered. Their ADX test prep is amazing. I studied their guide for a few days and didn't have any issues. I knew the answer to the questions before I was done reading the question. As for my FAA checkride, I had no issues at all. Flamingo Air academy prepared me to the point where I had no doubts I'd be walking out with my Dispatcher Certificate. Thanks Flamingo Air!
