This place was excellent! Fresh fish, a wide variety of toppings and sauce options and the service was wonderful. We were welcomed and had a great experience with the staff. The medium size bowl was a good portion. Thank you!

We've only been here once. We went at about 4:30 on a Friday and were the only ones there. It picked up a bit later, but our food did take a while considering there weren't others there. The place was SUPER clean and the staff were friendly. The salmon teriyaki bowl had a great char on the fish. The beef bulgogi was pretty good. Spam musubi with brown rice is...interesting but still good! Overall, glad we stopped in over a chain place in the area.

i stopped in for the first time yesterday and ordered the chicken yakisoba and a spam musubi. i was really hungry so the spam musubi really hit the spot before i drove home to eat my yakisoba lol. the portion of yakisoba i got was huge- i was able to eat it for two meals. i ordered extra chicken. i think i only paid about $22 in total which was a great deal. the food was ready quickly after ordering. i would definitely eat here again!

Let me start this off by saying the food was OK in flavor, but the quantity of food that you get for how much you pay is not worth it. The service was slow, and if you were going to charge me this much for this amount of food, it is not worth it. For lunch special only rice and chicken, no veggies and nothing special to it. If you're looking for some good teriyaki go to Mashitas, and if you're looking for a good poke try Sherwood or The food carts in Beaverton. I love to support small Asian businesses but this was not it. The poke only looks this good because I kept asking for more of this and that because they would just give me a pinch of every topping. For $17 you can get two bowls add a better place. We only came to this location because it was convenient and wanted to try something new. Now we wish we went somewhere else. It wasn't worth the convenience, now it's an inconvenience having to write this review.

Lunch special: chicken teriyaki and gyoza

Stopped by after noticing this place was going to start serving poke bowls. It's a build-your-own poke bowl place, but they also serve teriyaki plates and a few other items like gyoza, miso soup, katsu curry, etc. I got a medium sized poke bowl (12.99), and included 1/2 rice 1/2 greens, ahi tuna, seaweed salad, edamame, spicy ponzu sauce, and a bunch of other toppings. I was offered a complimentary bowl of miso soup with the poke. SUPER GOOD! Nice presentation and they didn't use a throwaway bowl while we ate there. We also got a chicken teriyaki lunch special ($8.25), which came with 3 fried gyoza and a small green salad. Also very good! It's a small place, they weren't super fast, but we weren't in a hurry, and they were friendly and gracious. Maybe they're faster on a weekday lunchtime? Doesn't matter, I'll be back for more. They are open on Sunday as well. Parking lot is kind of a cluster because they share w/ Five Guys and Chipotle and a kids haircut place and a dental office. Watch out for the giant pothole in the parking lot too...

    Cute little space. Poke Bar.

This place is great! The food was solid and I am so happy I can make this a go-to in Tualatin. The chicken katsu was super yummy and the salad dressing on top of their salad is so delicious. It's a nice change up from everything in Suburban land. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Poke bowl; salmon, ahi, & smoked squid

The place was empty when I walked in, just after 6pm on a Wednesday. The employee was very helpful in assisting me with my order. I ordered a medium poke bowl with ahi, salmon, and smoked squid. All the fish pieces were good/decent sized. I also ordered the Kalbi short rib plate. Everything tasted very good. Price was high, $50 for both plates and 2 can drinks. I would eat there again, the food was good.

Delicious. Think of everything you would want in a fancy sushi roll, but deconstructed into a bowl that actually fills you up. I picked most toppings, added creamy sesame and spicy chile sauce. This is a new go place for me!

Stopped in today for an impromptu lunch order to go. This is the third time I've had Joy Teriyaki and this is the third time it has been phenomenal! The food is delicious and you can create so many delicious combinations with their poke bar. Small poke bar salad, side of teriyaki chicken, four spring rolls and miso soup all for only about $20!

You can add as many items as you want to the poke bowl, which is great. Very tasty food, fresh seafood, clean restaurant and friendly staff.

Omar handed me the food without greeting me, only stating the total. I paid for the order, including a tip, and he immediately walked away without a thank you or any acknowledgment. My receipt was still sitting on the printer, and I had to interrupt him while he was talking with his friends just to get it. Again, there was no thank you or any customer service whatsoever. Back at the office, we discovered that the chicken curry we ordered was simply chicken with gravy. After checking the restaurant's website, we found that the chicken curry was sold out, yet no one informed us or gave us the option to choose something else. The food was also dry and disappointing. Between the poor food quality and Omar's exceptionally rude customer service, this was a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning

I have PTSD and have a service dog who gives me deep pressure therapy if/when I have a panic attack (not that that's anyone's business). I have come in with my dog before and have had no issue. But today I came in, walked to the patio and sat down. I was asked if my dog was a service dog and what he is trained to perform (legally businesses are allowed to ask you this). I explained ^ and they said okay. During my lunch, the owner Greg came out twice to look at what was happening outside. The photo attached is what my dog was doing. The third time he came out, he immediately yelled at me. He told me my dog isn't a service dog, and that I was lying about his status. I tried to explain that TSA recognizes him, hotels recognize him, the continent of EUROPE recognized him when I traveled with him for 3 months last year. This has never happened before. I asked him calmly to please stop yelling and he said "You are looking at me and telling me, 'Greg, you're f****ing stupid!'" I told him I didn't think he was stupid and I wasn't lying about his status. He told me he would call the police. I said he can call them if he would like but he is a service dog and he isn't harming anyone. He then told me that service dogs don't get water while working. And since I asked for a cup of water for him, that proved he isn't a service dog. No water? For a dog? It was 90 degrees outside. Is this how you treat your staff? I understand not wanting pets in restaurants. But this was out completely out of hand. Other service dog owners would try to sue. I am not that committed to being right. I simply paid and left. But I'm seriously disappointed in this establishment and will be vocal about this going forward.

But i'm going to do it anyways-- Some of my family members and I had just came in for lunch. We decided to sit inside since it was a lot cooler and pretty empty inside. Basically-- there were less than 5 tables being occupied inside, and all our food took an incredibly long time to come out after ordering. Some of us got some things off the lunch menu which included an appetizer. Some ordered the miso soup and since they did not have lemongrass clam chowder, i opted for the asian salad. When both apps came out, the miso soup color looked very displeasing. First off, it was green which isn't a normal miso paste color at all and just tasted like seaweed water. No flavor whatsoever. I got my asian salad which didn't look fresh at all after waiting more than 10 minutes for it already. On top of that, there was nothing asian about it, except the crumbs of raw instant ramen on top, which I felt was almost lightweight racist? There were so many different ways to make an asian salad for example, mandarin slices with wontons crisps, a sesame dressing etc. but it just felt like a prepackaged bag of salad that was also brown around the edges and they just sprinkled raw instant noodles crumbs on top to make it "asian". I deff felt some type of way about that, but I didn't bring it up at the end of the day because that's too much critique to do when we're just trying to have a meal.
