I had exactly 4 months. I quickly went on the Internet searching for a planner. I went to one of those website services that you put in a request and they will contact you via text, email or phone. I was doing this at 7 o'clock in the evening, within 15 min. I received a reply from Elizabeth with Encore Events. I immediately felt comfortable, her patience and professionalism was just what this mommy needed to get this accomplished. She was with me 100%. Went to all vendor appointments with me, which by the way she has some of the best vendors in south Fl. She created spread sheets for budget and guest tracking and kept me informed of every detail. She even tracked all Rsvp's by phone and email. She took multiple trips to the venue on her own to ensure she had every detail down. She created digital floor plans so that we knew where everything would be placed. On the day of the event Elizabeth and her team was there early and had everything under control. Her team was professional and treated my guest to first class service. This was a once in lifetime event and I couldn't have asked for more. Be careful with this company. The lady I was dealing with, Evelyn I believe was the name, had poor…read morecommunication. I gave her my credit card information. Once I approved all of the details she explained she would charge my card for the deposit and email me the invitations. The following day I checked my email and there were no invitations although my card had been charged. I had questions about several things and I also needed the invitations since I was in a bit of a time crunch for getting them out. I called several times during business hours and no answer. After not being able to reach her over the phone I emailed Evelyn that I needed the invitations and about the other questions I had. The next day I checked my email to see that the invitations were sent 10 minutes after the email I sent. I emailed her again and asked for her to cancel my booking because I do not like the lack of communication. She called me back from a private number and lied saying that she emailed me the invitations early in the morning before I even sent an email requesting them. I told her I could see the time on the emails and that that was not true so she changed the story and said "fine I sent it right after you emailed me". I told her I had other questions and not a lot of time before the birthday party date to have all my questions answered and no way of contacting her so I wanted a refund. She then told me communication has been perfect, she never received any calls or voice messages and that she is not the owner but she will ask the owner if I could get my deposit back. Then she changed the story to saying that most likely I will not get my deposit back (even though she is supposedly not the owner). I asked her to have the owner call me. I'm guessing I will never get that phone call because it seems like she is running everything herself. If you do not have a lot of time to plan your party please do not use them. Evelyn has no integrity and has little concern for communicating with her clients.
