Dragon roll, edamame, Spanish roll, caterpillar roll

I can't speak highly enough of how much we loved our dinner at Joyce's Sushi. We were drowning in options for dinner while in Rancho Mirage, and so ultimately I let my cravings for sushi take over. I'm so glad we did. The waiter seated us right away, and immediately brought out our drink orders. The Kirin Ichiban beer was ICE COLD. We placed our meal order, and the edamame was first to arrive. I CANNOT TELL YOU JUST HOW GOOD IT IS. IT IS THEIR SECRET WEAPON. Truly, we wanted to load up on the generous portion of edamame but only stopped because our sushi arrived right after. Having been a sushi lover for well over 25 years, I have to put this place in my Top 5 locations of all time. The all stars were the Spanish, Caterpillar, and Dragon rolls. The inside has a fun, relaxed vibe perfect for a quiet dinner for two. The food was so good we immediately boxed up what we couldn't finish as we didn't want it going to waste. Overall, Joyce's Sushi was the best restaurant during our trip to Rancho Mirage, and we plan on a return trip for every desert trip we take in the future.

Such a great experience at Joyce Sushi! Hannah gave us the best service -- so sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They were amazing with our toddler and even gave him a little monster car and crayons to color with, which absolutely made his night. The menu is HUGE with so many options for everyone, not just sushi lovers. Everything was delicious and the whole experience felt so family-friendly and thoughtful. Definitely one of our new favorite spots! (Excuse the halfway-through photos... we forgot until we already dug in

One of my favorite sushi places in the Coachella Valley! Always kind, always fresh and delicious. Just a heads up during season the wait can get quite long so make a reservation! The Cajun Tuna Roll and the Avocado Bomb are some of my favorite dishes.

We enjoy coming to lunch quite often at Joyce's Sushi in Rancho Mirage. The lunch specials and service are always good. Nice ambiance with quiet music (although the music is usually instrumental Christian hymns). Lots of easy parking in the large parking lot.

Came here last week after Coachella with a party of 10. The service did not disappoint! Our server Brandy was amazing! She handled everything incredibly well from the start. She was patient, organized, and kept a great attitude the entire time, even with all of our requests and the chaos that naturally comes with a large group. So huge shoutout to her for making it such a great experience The food was amazing. We ordered a good mix of appetizers, rolls, bento boxes, and the huge 30pc sashimi combo. Everything came out quickly and they did not miss on the flavor! Everything was seasoned perfectly, the fish was incredibly fresh, beautiful presentation, and the overall quality was just top tier!

I came with my business associate and we came to Joyce Sushi for dinner. The service is excellent, the staff is very accommodating, and very professional. The food is 5 star. They use quality fish and the portion of the Jumbo Spider Roll is huge! We got a bottle of Sapporo and Hot sake. If you are ever in the area come visit Joyce Sushi. You won't be disappointed

What a fun spot! The energy and service in here was great and it was packed! We sat at the sushi bar and getting to see our rolls made was an extra special treat. The sushi chefs are a great team and are great at what they do. We got an array of treats and every dish we had was delicious. I want to try everything on the menu and am looking forward to coming back again. Okay thanks bye!

I'm confused by such high reviews for this place.... Maybe they are known for the tuna cutting show or it speaks to how bad the rest of the sushi places generally are in the area? It's not bad but nothing special with decent fish and rolls that were oddly served in bowls. Nothing tasted bad but nothing was that great but pricing seemed kinda high for what it was. They charged me dinner special prices at 2:30pm cuz they said lunch menu ends at 2pm but it didn't say that on the menu...

Dinner special with katsu and spicy tuna

Overpriced I guess you should expect to pay more when eating out in a touristy area like Palm Springs. The food here is slightly above average. Their sushi is solid. Their udon and miso soup was a tad too salty. The katsu and shrimp tempura was not bad actually. However, given the prices, I was expecting more. For example, the chirashi bowl was $45 and probably just enough food for one person.

15 Piece Sashimi - massive portions

We came here for dinner and had a great experience overall. I ordered the dinner special, which lets you choose 2 items for $25 or 3 items for $30 (some items have about a $5 upcharge). The special also comes with white rice, soup and salad, which made it an even better deal. I chose the pork katsu and a spicy salmon roll. The pork katsu came with two nicely sized cutlets that were moist and well cooked -- definitely a solid value for the price. Overall, my meal felt like a great deal. My husband ordered the 15-piece sashimi platter. It was on the pricier side at $60, but the portions were massive and very generous. He really enjoyed it and felt it was worth it given the quality and quantity. His meal also came with soup and salad. The soup was a mushroom miso -- a little on the salty side, but still tasty. The salad was a pleasant surprise: fresh mixed greens instead of the usual iceberg lettuce you often see at Japanese restaurants. It was served with a light Italian dressing, which felt a bit unexpected for a Japanese place, but it actually worked and tasted very good. Service was good, the restaurant was clean, and it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, which is always convenient. We'd definitely come back, especially for the dinner specials.

If you're in the Coachella Valley and craving sushi, Joyce's Sushi is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, casual, and welcoming--perfect for anything from a relaxed lunch to a fun dinner with friends. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The real highlight, though, is the food. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the sashimi to the specialty rolls. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their fish. The rolls are creative without being over-the-top, and the portions are generous. Whether you're sticking with classics or trying something new, it's hard to go wrong. What really makes Joyce's Sushi stand out is the balance--it delivers great quality, great service, and a great vibe without feeling overly fancy or overpriced. It's the kind of spot you find yourself coming back to again and again. Joyce's Sushi is a terrific place for a Japanese meal. They have a variety of offerings to please any craving. Fresh sashimi, tasty tempura, flavorful udon and many other dishes. The servers are always on it. They get busy, but the servers are on their game making sure everyone is attended to and their meal is served promptly and with great care. The Japanese sushi bar decor is very cozy and creates an intimate dining experience. Stop in and you'll add Joyce's Sushi to your favorites.

It really should be a 4 1/2 for this. Actually yelps should have half stars on their rating system. That's a discussion for another day. My friend had the dinner special with pork and rice and salad and enjoyed it. He says it's a four star. The service was fast. I had the fresh king salmon tuna albacore roll and the freshwater eel roll. My only complaint is that there was not enough sauce for either one. The miso soup was tasty. Didn't need the mushrooms. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The staff certainly gets their steps in.

We started with dinner and ended up staying for the music, dancing, and all the fun that makes The Nest such a special place. I ordered the chicken piccata and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and even though we were seated near the piano in the bar area where it can get a little loud, that's part of what makes it such a fun atmosphere. The best part of the night was having everyone together. My niece's boyfriend was visiting from Ireland, and we laughed and danced all night. I especially loved seeing my sister-in-law out on the dance floor and having so much fun. It was one of those nights where people of all ages were dancing, laughing, and just enjoying being together. We had such a great time that they went back again the very next night. The live music was fantastic, and it was great seeing Nick on saxophone. The crowd was a fun mix, the energy was high, and the whole place just felt happy. A coworker recently went during Restaurant Week and couldn't stop talking about the steak, the generous portions, and the peanut butter pie. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. Most people think of The Nest for the music and dancing, but don't miss the food. It really is that good! One tip: go early or make a dinner reservation so you don't end up waiting in line. The Nest is still one of the most fun places in the desert!
