If you're in the Coachella Valley and craving sushi, Joyce's Sushi is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, casual, and welcoming--perfect for anything from a relaxed lunch to a fun dinner with friends. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The real highlight, though, is the food. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the sashimi to the specialty rolls. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their fish. The rolls are creative without being over-the-top, and the portions are generous. Whether you're sticking with classics or trying something new, it's hard to go wrong. What really makes Joyce's Sushi stand out is the balance--it delivers great quality, great service, and a great vibe without feeling overly fancy or overpriced. It's the kind of spot you find yourself coming back to again and again. Overall, Joyce's Sushi is a reliable favorite in Rancho Mirage that consistently delivers a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. What a fun spot! The energy and service in here was great and it was packed! We sat at the sushi bar and getting to see our rolls made was an extra special treat. The sushi chefs are a great team and are great at what they do. We got an array of treats and every dish we had was delicious. I want to try everything on the menu and am looking forward to coming back again. Okay thanks bye!

I'm confused by such high reviews for this place.... Maybe they are known for the tuna cutting show or it speaks to how bad the rest of the sushi places generally are in the area? It's not bad but nothing special with decent fish and rolls that were oddly served in bowls. Nothing tasted bad but nothing was that great but pricing seemed kinda high for what it was. They charged me dinner special prices at 2:30pm cuz they said lunch menu ends at 2pm but it didn't say that on the menu...

Overpriced I guess you should expect to pay more when eating out in a touristy area like Palm Springs. The food here is slightly above average. Their sushi is solid. Their udon and miso soup was a tad too salty. The katsu and shrimp tempura was not bad actually. However, given the prices, I was expecting more. For example, the chirashi bowl was $45 and probably just enough food for one person.

I came with my business associate and we came to Joyce Sushi for dinner. The service is excellent, the staff is very accommodating, and very professional. The food is 5 star. They use quality fish and the portion of the Jumbo Spider Roll is huge! We got a bottle of Sapporo and Hot sake. If you are ever in the area come visit Joyce Sushi. You won't be disappointed

Service was poor, we had to flag someone down twice just to order and pay. No one checked on us the entire time, and we felt ignored. The kids' meal was overpriced at $16, and while the food was decent, it wasn't great. The free ice cream they give for 5-star reviews explains the high ratings more than the actual experience.

15 Piece Sashimi - massive portions

We came here for dinner and had a great experience overall. I ordered the dinner special, which lets you choose 2 items for $25 or 3 items for $30 (some items have about a $5 upcharge). The special also comes with white rice, soup and salad, which made it an even better deal. I chose the pork katsu and a spicy salmon roll. The pork katsu came with two nicely sized cutlets that were moist and well cooked -- definitely a solid value for the price. Overall, my meal felt like a great deal. My husband ordered the 15-piece sashimi platter. It was on the pricier side at $60, but the portions were massive and very generous. He really enjoyed it and felt it was worth it given the quality and quantity. His meal also came with soup and salad. The soup was a mushroom miso -- a little on the salty side, but still tasty. The salad was a pleasant surprise: fresh mixed greens instead of the usual iceberg lettuce you often see at Japanese restaurants. It was served with a light Italian dressing, which felt a bit unexpected for a Japanese place, but it actually worked and tasted very good. Service was good, the restaurant was clean, and it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, which is always convenient. We'd definitely come back, especially for the dinner specials.

Joyce's Sushi is a terrific place for a Japanese meal. They have a variety of offerings to please any craving. Fresh sashimi, tasty tempura, flavorful udon and many other dishes. The servers are always on it. They get busy, but the servers are on their game making sure everyone is attended to and their meal is served promptly and with great care. The Japanese sushi bar decor is very cozy and creates an intimate dining experience. Stop in and you'll add Joyce's Sushi to your favorites.

Love it!!! Best sushi ever the salmon melted in my mouth. Loved the service too- my server was so sweet.

It really should be a 4 1/2 for this. Actually yelps should have half stars on their rating system. That's a discussion for another day. My friend had the dinner special with pork and rice and salad and enjoyed it. He says it's a four star. The service was fast. I had the fresh king salmon tuna albacore roll and the freshwater eel roll. My only complaint is that there was not enough sauce for either one. The miso soup was tasty. Didn't need the mushrooms. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The staff certainly gets their steps in.

I always go to this place for early dinner Today I brought a friend with a legal certified with certificate service dog And I was denied entry by this Gentelman This is against California law and the fine is at least $4000 which im planing to collect the attorney I hired told me that there is a good chance the Resturant will be closed That is so unkind to do and I'm not going to go or recommend this restaurant who discriminates people because of their limitation Thank you. And have a good sushi elsewhere

The three of us ordered Sashimi Salad, Mixed Tempura, the Dinner Special, which had tempura, chicken teriyaki California roll (photo), and miso soup, delivered expertly by our lovely server, Brandy. Everything was perfect. Can't say anything more than that.

I wanted to let some time pass, get through the holiday season and in an effort think some on how I might have made awful better. Having just moved I did not want to cook this Thanksgiving. I made reservations at "The Nest" a few weeks ahead of Thanksgiving I had read a number of reviews here on Yelp. I knew going in they had a lively bar scene with live music. We walk in exactly on time. It's so loud it's hard to speak with the hostess. (I'm a Boomer, a child of the 60's no stranger to, nor bothered by loud music) The dining area is separate from the bar so it should be no problem to be seated in a spot that allowed for dinner conversation. I asked the hostess if they did have a spot that was on the quieter side, she said no problem if we could wait a bit. Here is where things went off the rails. We were led to a table that was in a corner and directly under a speaker with the live music as loud as the bar area. Just to make it 'fun' about a 1/4 of the table against the wall had a slope of about 10 or so degrees. There was an older, thick flat screen on the wall so the person across from me kept hitting her head on it. But let's go to the important part the food. Each of us ordered the Thanksgiving Special, turkey dinner. Which was not only the worst turkey dinner I'ver even had but was the absolute worst meal I've ever been served ever, anywhere... including but not limited to fast food. I am left to assume my asking if we could be seated in a quieter spot pissed off the entire restaurant staff from hostess to kitchen staff Starting with the turkey itself, it was a small pile of shredded dark meat, two of us had shards of bone. Mashed potatoes? It was a small ice cream scoop amount (think school cafeteria service) of hard, cold instant like mix. A table spoon worth of some sort of liquid passing for 'gravy'. The rest was of equal 'quality' Two of us left the majority of the food on the plate. Oh and the pie.... Yeah about the same as the rest. I'm not even going to bother about the level of 'service,' I'll just say it was slightly better than food, cold and only indifferent. And now the part that just left us in awe of the whole thing. The section we were seated in was nearly empty by the time we were done, trying get find a member of the staff to bring us the damn check so we could just get out of there. And here comes a couple in their 20's having a domestic dispute, fortunately that calmed down and they left the area. And then here walks through the dining area a clown.... Yes you read that right a clown, in full clown makeup and outfit. An actual clown. No rhyme nor reason, just sauntering through. And as if this was normal and not at all bizarre. There is some sort of 'selfie' device in a corner. And along come two 'ladies' clearly intoxicated, to pose in front of it acting the fools only alcohol can induce and this obnoxious 'show' went on far too long. Just to add insult to injury the check finally comes with a mandatory 20% "large party" (of four?) gratuity. To be fair since it was a holiday would have left at least that amount normally. I appreciate those who work holidays, giving up family time to serve others. I've worked my share of holidays. I was ashamed and embarrassed, about the whole mess.

We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

Red wine flight included a fantastic Cab & Cab Reserve, and a "very good" Pinot...and that's coming from a person who does not drink Pinot. I didn't care for the blend but then again I never care for a blend as it is. Food was "American" style tapas - small plates of well crafted foods ranging from flatbread pizza to meatballs to vege pockets and (for me) a "Vegan Stack" composed of rice, mango, avocado, and a delicious spicy mayo.
