Today I tried a mushroom and truffle empanada and was not disappointed. It's on the way home from my Spanish school, so I see many more stops here for an afternoon merienda in the future. I noticed they had a nata (cream) tart that I will try later. I also didn't want to take an orange juice to go, but I will try their orange juice another time. Also on my wish list: their ham and cheese empanada and their spinach and ricotta empanada. For just 3€ per empanada it's hard to justify skipping this place. There are no tables outside, but the Plaza Mayor is close by. Highly recommend purchasing a few treats and walking over to sit on one of the benches, munch, and enjoy the sun while watching the masses wandering the plaza.
