A Solid JP favorite that survives and persists. A local seafood and Japanese and Korean farrago of food choices. For the lunch special, you get a filling assortment of choices that surround the center, be it fried fish, tempura or teriyaki, etc. The tempura batter was light , the fish equally so. Not our first time there, and we'll be back again

We live in the neighborhood and are regulars here, and are never dissatisfied. Contrast to what you might assume from the name, it's actually a Korean and Japanese restaurant. We got the vegetable dumplings, teriyaki tofu, and bulgoki (as we do frequently); we didn't order them this time, but the green bean fries are also a favorite. Service was friendly, and it was quiet and fairly relaxing for a Sunday dinner. We did sit on the "adult" side, in contrast to the kid side with fish tanks; it's usually louder on that side. It's worth explicitly mentioning that the consistency here is fabulous; every time we order we get exactly what we did the last time, and it's always good. We'll come back, and I definitely recommend it!

Good service. Quiet atmosphere. Good food and tasty sake, hot or cold! Only downside were the flies. It was a little distracting. They were on the walls and paintings. If you swatted them it made it worse. Other than that delicious. Maybe would return to sit at bar. They did have another side that looked like it was to serve larger crowds.

We ordered sushi takeout from here previously and the fish is certainly fresh and delicious. They are very busy for indoor dining but it's worth it for the Ok Dol Bimbimbap in house!! Sashimi salad was good too. The fish and chips is done in the same manner as their sister restaurant evergreen and I would probably ask them to double fry the chips.

Unfortunately, haggis isn't available every day, so when we visited on a Sunday evening, it was not on the menu. That was definitely disappointing to find out. Instead, we ordered the Scotch egg, sliders, and the deep-fried Mars bar. The Scotch egg was good, but at $13 for a single egg, it felt a bit overpriced. It came with a small side salad, though I think serving two eggs instead would have made it a better value. The sliders were a pleasant surprise. The beef was clearly high quality, and they were the perfect size if you want to enjoy a great burger without committing to a full one. To finish, we shared the deep-fried Mars bar, and it was absolutely delicious. It's definitely a rich dessert, so it's perfect for sharing between two people. I personally would have preferred it with vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream, but it was still a great way to end the meal. Overall, I'd love to come back and finally try the haggis, but based on this visit, I'd definitely recommend the sliders and the deep-fried Mars bar.

Seafood boil sounded good and this place was a few minutes away. During lunch time on a Saturday, we arrived and there was only one other party in the place. It was super quiet. We were seated promptly and provided some pop corn. The place has unique decor in that there is customer writing all over their walls! Our server was okay, and answered our questions and took our order. We went with the Snow crabs with green mussels. You get 1lb of each, versus their A/B/C platters which may contain less of some of what you want. It was fine as we were gonna spend over $60 and would get 1/2 lb of shrimp for free anyways. The seafood boil bag was ordered with their shaking sauce mild. It was not spicy at all, had really good flavor but definitely on the salty side, IMHO. It was still enjoyable. When you leave you'll be dying of thirst. The seafood was cooked well, with most of the snow crab legs able to crack open. There was just enough sauce for everything in the bag. I'd say it was a 7/10 rating. The fried calamari plate with sweet potato fries was okay. Nothing special, and definitely edible. I'd give this a 7/10 rating again. The lemon pepper wings were tiny, but at least girthy (given their size). Flavor was good and cooked perfectly and came out so hot and fresh. I'd give them a 7/10 rating, would be higher if the wings were even normal sized. Overall, it was a decent meal. It satisfied a craving. The restaurant is comfortable and clean. There was decent parking options outside on the street.

My table wasn't inside, but I loved the outdoor seating options since it was sunny the late afternoon/evening I came. After so much walking and shopping, I wanted a hearty meal. Every bite was so satisfying. The whole belly ipswich clam plate was briny which was wonderful on its own. But that tartar sauce certainly added to the dish. Normally if I get fried seafood, I love a good crunch - but the light breading of these clams made it so that the natural umami of the clam bellies shined through - this made for a very well-executed dish. Be sure to order the house Pilsner, a clear hit on the menu.

Lastly ordered the blue crab tagliatelle, it had a great flavor! From the brown butter and sage, the roasted macadamia nuts gave great additional flavor and texture to the dish, the down fall of this dish was the pasta itself. Our group had a few small appetizers which were excellent, but the real treat was their daily swordfish special. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, other than "wow." Marathon Monday vibes all around town. We took a seat in the window nook. My lady loves squid ink pasta and it's different than Japanese style (doesn't stain your teeth haha). We ordered + fried calamari + mussels siciliano + aglio olio We started with the complimentary bread, with olive oil, crushed red peppers and Parmesan! The calamari was next (my must order anywhere i go to taste). Light batter fried (didn't just fall apart thankfully) nice light and crispy. The squid was fresh, not cooked rubbery and tasted great with the marinara sauce (nice hint of spice). Now i wish the portion was a tad bigger but it was yummy. The mussels is the ladies go to, for an appetizer. It came out HOT, with a lemon white wine garlic sauce. Super tasty, mussels definite shine through without the sauce/broth overpowering the natural flavor of the mussel. She finished that up quick and i had a taste myself and agree with her assessment haha. And finally the Aglio Olio, squid ink pasta with minced squid and garlic. This was a perfectly balanced dish, came out HOT be careful of the pan. The pasta and squid just melted together so well. The caramelized butter/garlic with bits of minced squid just had you scraping the pan at the end to make sure you inhale them. Great meal for two. Very satisfied. (Give us another couple ounces of fried calamari and it'd be perfect!)
