When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, with only a couple seated at two tables. I was there with my family, including my girls. Despite the large number of empty tables available, the waiter wanted to seat us at two small tables. Considering that we were eating as a family, with children and several dishes, we politely asked to be seated at the space near the window with three tables so that we could eat more comfortably. Our request was not only denied, but denied quite roughly. The explanation given to us was that if six people arrived, they would need that table. We responded that, in that case, they could simply join three of the many other empty tables available in the restaurant, but they clearly did not care. What was even more disappointing was that the woman who appeared to be the manager also showed no concern at all. There was no effort to accommodate us, no flexibility, and no consideration for the fact that we were there with children. We felt completely disregarded as customers. From both a customer service and business point of view, this was extremely poor judgment. When a restaurant is almost empty, refusing a simple and reasonable request for comfort makes no sense. Good service is not only about serving food, but also about treating customers with courtesy, common sense, and a willingness to make them feel welcome. Because of the way we were treated, we decided to leave. We left convinced that we will never return, never recommend this restaurant, and never order from this place again.
