Another great experience. We ordered it Togo and it was packed with care when we picked it up. The restaurant has spacious inside seating and a nice patio area outside too. It's a great location near local state parks and trails. The food was delicious as always. We had salmon stuffed avocado with masago, chicken fried rice, Asian style chicken wings, and the shrimp tempura app. Love the tempura app it's such a good portion size of 4 shrimp plus tons of tempura veggies. It's thoughtful packed on top of sweet potato fries which strategically keeps the tempura nice and crisp, even Togo. Will be back again. read more

First time here, I was looking forward to eating the pad Thai. As I was walking around the restaurant I noticed the plates aT everybody tables and everything looked very delicious. I'm kind of a pad Thai snob so when I ordered it here, I was surprised that this really didn't taste like pad Thai , it was missing that sweetness. JP's is probably the closest thing to east coast Chinese food I've found so far in the one year I've been in Colorado (I'm in COS). General Tso's chicken was very good - next time I'll ask for more chilis. We weren't a fan of the sauce for the dan dan noodles - it wasn't bad, just not what we like. Crab rangoons were good. Went here recently on a hike on a recent Saturday. We had a group of 6 people so we ordered a variety of dishes, however had we gotten there earlier they did have lunch specials. We were there around 2 PM. I enjoyed the dishes and they came out quickly and my favorite dish was the sweet and sour chicken. Service was great and prices were very reasonable. This would include all Asian restaurants in NYC, SAN FRANSISCO etc. Our family eats here for important occasions and most holidays especially we get take out every year on New Years Eve. With this visit what was so fantastic was the sweet and sour soup. Served really hot not just warmed. Loaded with mushrooms, bean sprouts and the traditional silky smooth consistency!! Excellent job done to perfection!! The taste was fantastic mix of sour with heat from hot pepper but not overly spicy. We had our usual favorite chicken fried rice and what can I say it is always at JP's the BEST I have ever had anywhere!!! My husband and I recommend you try: beef with broccoli lemon chicken General Tao's and any egg roll our favorite is the vegetable. My son who is a professional Chef always eats Dan Dan noodles!!! Pleasantly surprised! Tucked away in a strip mall, this place has kind and welcoming staff, bright modern decor including a sizeable outdoor patio with umbrellas, and swift service of food. We stopped here after hiking in Roxborough State Park, seeing it right along the main road. There's a pretty extensive menu with Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. Prices were quite reasonable especially considering the large portions. The vegetarian ma po tofu was excellent, with fresh soft tofu and a sauce whose spiciness you can specify (I suggest medium spicy for normal palates). The beef with broccoli had an excellent cut of beef and similarly large portions. Lunch specials came with choice of soups, plus egg roll, fried wonton and choice of white or fried rice. All that food came to barely over $10/person. We will be back for sure, especially whenever we are hiking or going to Chatfield! read more

According to one of the servers, they switched to more "Chinatown fare" since the pandemic due to logistics of keeping ingredients. Which makes this restaurant an OK one. Try their sushi if you really aren't in the mood for Chinatown foods like sesame chicken, etc. We as a family shared a Seafood Noodle Soup Stew. I call it stew because it's served in a pot-sized bowl! Seriously enough to split for 4 people. It was nice of our server to switch out the typical udon noodles for thin, rice noodles upon our request. Makes everything so much better! We also enjoyed the Orange Roughy Filets in Fermented Black Bean Sauce, perfect dish to eat a lot of rice with. The owner is the sweetest man, and I really didn't want to rate them like this, but after this happening TWICE, I legit don't want anyone to die from food poisoning. The sushi they've been delivering me has, I can honestly say, may be the most disgusting, rotten fish I've ever seen or smelt. The yellow fish had a orange coating of bacteria, one of the white fish was as hard as a rock, and the salmon had such a slimy coating that I almost threw up. It used to be amazing, now I think they're using 4 week old fish, or the sushi chef just doesn't understand food standards. They can kill someone doing this. read more

Most of the servers are good. The decor and ambiance is surprisingly good for the price of the food and location. While being a small restaurant with reasonable prices, on the inside it feels more like an upscale place. The food looks like the stuff people take a photo of before eating. The presentation is amazing. And so is the options and chef specials. They truly feel like specialized plates made with a unique purpose and appeal. Theres only one real issue I might have and it is relatively small though for others it could be a bigger problem. The food comes out fast. Real fast. While the food is definitely fresh and not stale or old, it does not come out piping hot nor was it usually very evenly heated. I ended up with side vegetables being oddly lukewarm and the main dish being warm but not hot as an example. My one and only suggestion would be that the food spends a bit more time being heated before reaching my table. Food coming out quickly is usually a good thing. But seriously no one is going to be bothered by it taking just a minute or two extra in order to get that perfect heat distribution and piping hot feel. read more
