I'm no BBQ connoisseur, but I am a delicious food connoisseur. I judge food on whether or not what I eat is something I will crave and HAVE to have. Yes...to EVERYTHING I ordered. Like....if I didn't still have leftovers, I'd be going back today! We got the pulled pork with cornbread dressing and fried okra and ribs with baked beans and collards. For dessert we got coconut cake and caramel cake. The pulled pork was amazing, not dry or overcooked and mushy like I've gotten at a few other places. The mild BBQ sauce is sweet and not thick, but not thin....and it's probably my favorite I've ever had honestly. Fried okra was cooked to order and lightly breaded with cornmeal. The cornbread dressing....man.....it's gonna live in my heart as the best I've ever had (but don't tell my mama that!). It's very moist, has shredded chunks of turkey, some peppers (I think, but it wasn't spicy at all) and has a sweetness to it. I mean....I need more NOW. The ribs were fall off the bone, not fatty, and the dry rub was so good you didn't need any sauce. That's a first for me. The baked beans....I think I need those right now too. There's meat in them and they have sort of a peppery taste maybe? The collards...absolutely DELICIOUS! These folks really know they're southern foods! The cakes are worth stopping by to get all on their own. They are so incredibly moist and the frosting on both was absolutely delectable! Somebody's mama had to have made these. I can't wait to try all the others! I heard while I was there they also have pecan pie and sweet potato pie. But how do you choose between cake and pie when the cakes you've already had are so dang gooooood?!?!? Right now, it's take out only. There is a drive-thru and I noticed lots of orders seemed to have been called in in advance (which I'll probably do myself next time). I was up the street at pinelog WMA and decided to stop for some food before I drove home. I ordered the brisket w/ spicy green beans + mac. Solid, solid BBQ. The green beans surprised me, because most bbq/soul places I've been to, don't have these and they're worth getting. I ate my plate in the truck, and was so shocked I went back in and ordered a second for myself and a third for my fiancé. Ordered white fried chicken meal with collars and mashed/gravy. WORST TO GO EXPERIENCE EVER!!! When working in the great city of White, Ga. there are very few options for a spot to grab some lunch. So saying that I hate leaving a bad review but the sarcastic little chubby girl working there today was horrific. I wouldn't have left 2 stars at all but the food is good and every other member of the staff I've ever met were friendly. This little troll needs to be working the stock room at Dollar General to where she has ZERO interaction with the public ever again. She was too busy running her mouth when I called in my order she forgot an item and even put the wrong name on the receipt after I literally spelled it for her. I'm not coming back unless she's gone. BTW.... I'm sure the owners would love to know that she tosses the I-pad around like a toy. No respect for customers or her employer. Seeing how there were two different names on the receipts just know to stay away from the short, chubby, white girl, with WAY too much make up on, and a nasty attitude. The green beans beat even your Mama's and the collard greens are so good, they'll make you want slap your mama! The atmosphere is as laid back and easy as an evening on the front porch swing. Seriously the best BBQ I've ever had and some of the best service too. Do yourself a favor and stop by (Thurs-Sat) and get 1 of everything (or two). We had the pulled pork sandwich (try the hot bbq sauce. It'll light your mouth up!) and the sandwich with chopped brisket, corned beef, and pastrami + coleslaw and swiss. Wow, just wow. This restaurant is AMAZING !!! Smothered chicken- this chicken was cooked to perfection juicy and delicious with the most heavenly gravy!! The brisket - so Smokey and flavorful. It broke apart beautifully and should probably be entered into a competition. The Mac n cheese- BOMB BOMB BOMB!!! Collars greens- not too salty, but my mouth is watering actually thinking about them. So much soul :) Baked beans- so sweet, not over bearingly sweet with all the sauce you need! Loaded baked potato- loaded AF and really cooked through with some tasty bacon bits. I am going to assume that the last reviewers have never tasted BBQ before. When there are that many things on a BBQ menu you can bet they do several things ok but don't do one thing great. Maybe I came on an off day. I don't know. I ordered a Pork sandwich and a small Brunswick Stew. Stew is my litmus test for a BBQ joint in Georgia. Flavor was ok at best. The appearance was down right awful. It looked like stew ran through a blender. And it came out a little over room temperature. I will update if I get sick. So far it is a failure. Next was the pork sandwich. It seems like I had yesterday's pork and it had been reheated in a pan with some sauce. Flavor was ok. Too fatty for my taste. Seems like they didn't run it long enough to render all the fat out. Or just throwing the fat that you normally throw out when cooking a butt to stretch the meat to have more servings. My sandwich had 2 huge hunks of fat about a quarter of the meat and a stringy sinewy muscle lining type thing. I don't know. Failure. The sauce was good. Lots of molasses. Spicy sauce was great. I usually give places a second chance but I am convinced that Bartow County is utterly doomed to have shit BBQ forever. read more

I've always wanted to try some good Georgia Bbq, and this place did not disappoint!! The ribs left my mouth watering, and the coconut cake was so moist it could melt in your mouth! The service was great, and the owner was very friendly! They also had a health inspection score of 100 hanging on their wall which is very impressive. This is excellent BBQ!!! I got the rib dinner with mac and cheese and potato salad. They were excellent even if the potato salad was a mustard based one. My friend and his kids got ribs, chicken wings, chicken fritters(nuggets) with french fries. He loved the ribs, the chicken wings were made to order(excellent), chicken fritters were all eaten by his 2 year(s o they must have been good), and the french fries were excellent to. As mentioned, the food is a little pricier than the other places, but you pay for what you get. If you want cheap and average ribs, head to your local chain.
