We were flying our Cessna 172 across the country from South Florida to California when one of our cylinders went out on our Continental 0-300 engine. Bobby who is the owner and manager of Spectrum took care of us with his team and prioritized getting our plane fixed so that we could get home safely and in a timely manner. After a new cylinder replacement we were able to fly 25 hours back to Southern California. Huge recommendation for this team and Bobby and Carlos who are by far the most helpful and honest A&P's I have worked with. Wish Spectrum Aero had a facility in Southern California. I would get any work regarding aviation maintenance with them in a heartbeat.

Bobby explained to me the flat rate cost and projected timeline of 3 weeks if things went smooth and no parts delay. My drop off date was Nov 31st near holidays so I was expecting some delay. To my suprise the crew delivered on time and everything went smoothly. I have 1964hrs on my original io550g which has been very well maintained and she was still very strong showing compression in the 70s. Brakes were due but Bobby said only 1 as other looked like it was fairly fresh. I thought I needed a costly battery but he figured out it was a relay issue and corrected. Battery tested good. He never up sold me and saved unecessary costs. Thats a sign of a honest group. My plane flew extremely smooth event free on way home. I feel completely satisfied with honesty and quality of work. I am already on schedule for next year and will recommemd Spectrum Aero to anyone needing aviation maintenence.

Many places I called had a long wait or out of the normal $$ range. Found a place at Fort Pierce Treasure Coast Avionics. I've been around avionics shops 45 years this place was very professional and reasonably priced. I would recommend them for minor installs to complete avionics up grade. It's nice to walk into a place and be appreciated for giving them your business instead of feeling like they are doing you a favor.

This is one of those places that you have no idea it exists until you hear something about it, like…read morewhen they have an Open House. Essentially they rebuild, restore and maintain World War II aircraft- to FLYING CONDITION! At any given time, there are several aircraft- with so much history- in some state of repair. Just walking through the hangar, you can see, smell and touch some incredible history, and seeing these planes in this state- with panels and parts missing, the ability to look inside and see the working parts- is fantastic! And if you're lucky- you will see them fly, which is such a joy to see and hear these historic warbirds! This is a hidden gem in New Smyrna, and I highly recommend a visit if you are near- you will not be sorry!
