What a wonderful find in Jackson! The owner has the most amazing and comprehensive collection of costumes. She even had size 11 boots for me! There are lots of costume themes as well. Gun slinger, cowboy, Victorian lady, sheriff or saloon girl to name a few. My friend and I opted for gunslingers, and these photos are our prized souvenirs from this trip, along with the memories and photos from Grand Teton National Park. You can pick full color, subdued color or sepia (close to black and white). You'll leave with an 8 x 10 or two 5x 7s included in your price. We stumbled across this place while wandering through town and decided for sure we would be coming back later in the week. They had so many options of clothing with all the bells and whistles and all authentic gear it's the real deal! Chaps, boots hats...plus a whole lot more. We arrived back on a snowy morning and had the place to ourselves. Raluca greeted us and had us fill out a form and then showed us examples of our options. You can be a saloon girl, Indian, cowgirl/cowboy, outlaw, basically any western theme person you want to be. They have the best props and costumes, it was like walking in a movie set dressing room! They have so much skill in choosing all the items and accessorizing your look and that professionalism continues in the posing and photography. The experience was like nothing we have had before and we have been to other old time photos. None of them compare to this experience. We really had a great time. Janice and Raluca had us laughing and really made our day. I'm pretty hard on myself in photos and I thought the photos turned out great. We had such a great time we thought about coming in to do it again and chose a different theme just for the experience, and awesome photos. read more

We had an appointment for a photo shoot with an email confirmation. When we got there, the handwritten sign on the door said they were closed. I tried calling, but got a voicemail. Needless to say, my family was very disappointed. More than 24 hours later, and I still have not heard back from the people who run this place. read more

We had a great time doing an old timey photo here. We happened to see it as we left the coffee shop around the corner and asked the kids if they wanted to do an old timey picture. They said yes, so we stopped in. The shop has several settings- a saloon, the saloon/entry door, and a backdrop of the Grand Tetons. They also do "Wanted" signs and there were some really cute ones where people had their cat or dog's photo done. One couple even had their Labrador playing poker with cards. They clearly know how to work with you! We chose the saloon scene because of the props involved. The kids just LOVED the card table with poker chips, cards, whiskey shots and a bottle of whiskey. The lady running the shop was amazing. Very professional and very patient with our very impatient kid and our very "touchy feely" other kid. She helped us all select the right outfits (of which they had MANY). My daughter loved the saloon girl costume and especially the jeweled choker, feathered headband, and fluffy boa. The guys had fun getting fitted up as cowboys, complete with boots, cowboy hats, and guns to sling. The photographer styled and posed us all. It was such a fun experience and I appreciated the photographer's patience and directness with my kids when they were doing something they shouldn't. People complaining in reviews that the lady was "mean" or whatever are the same people letting their kids run amok to do whatever they want. A lot of the costumes and props are delicate! We always tell our kids-- "You're not at home, and it's not your stuff! Leave it alone!" The results of the photos she took were so fun. They looked fantastic and it's clear the photographer knew what she was doing, catching where not enough light was hitting our faces or when my son was not holding his rifle just right and making us adjust for a better shot. At the end we had to make some difficult decisions--she took so many great pictures! It didn't take long for the one we selected to be printed up and it is very easy to have digital versions e-mailed to you. We felt the price was fair for what you are getting. These photographers have won awards at competitions specifically for vintage photos, and when you look at the photos around the shop, it's clear they know what they are doing. Some are fun (like the pet "wanted" posters, the lab playing poker, etc. but some are really amazing and well done. Ours were for fun so we aren't trying to be all serious with it, but if you want a seriously amazing photo they can clearly do it for you. Overall we had a great experience. We highly recommend doing this if you're in town and would 100% do it again! read more

In the incredible tourist trap that is Jackson Hole, you might expect to find a place like Judge Roy Beans and expect it to be a disappointing rip off. Well you are wrong. This old time Wild West Photo Studio is amazing! Is it expensive? For what they offer, no not IMO. The shop has several sets all of which were constructed with painstaking detail. Their costumes are all very authentic looking, they have tons of variety and sizes and were easily able to fit my family of 5 which is not the easiest thing to do. Manager Jackie knows exactly what she is doing and her attention to detail is fantastic! I see that there are others here who have criticized her for being rude or unfriendly. DON'T listen to them. No disrespect but I'm guessing none of these people have ever had a professional photo shoot experience or understand what it is she she is trying to do. Jackie is a great creative director and if you give yourself over to her and let her guide you, you will come out with great photos and memories of your trip to Jackson Hole. My kids all had a terrific time dressing up in the clothing and loved picking the photos afterwards. I also give this shop a special commendation for being so careful about health safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. Jackie was very adamant about following health code rules and gave us a great feeling of confidence about participating in the shoot. We all really enjoyed ourselves and are incredibly happy with the final product. We have a similar old time photo taken years ago and we wanted to recreate it with the next generation. I know the owner has gotten some negative comments, but we found her to be delightful. She was very patient with our group of 7, including 3 children, ages 5-11. It was such a positive experience that the 8 year old said it was the best day ever and she wanted to fine back every day. My husband and I had some time to kill before our dinner reservation for our one night in Jackson. On a whim we decided to do old times photos when we saw this place, and it was great. We had the best time. They were fast, efficient, got us in and out of there with greats pics in time for dinner and it was so fun. They made sure all our costumes fit and they were super accurate. If I could give this zero stars I would. The woman who runs/owns it, named Jackie I think, was so bitter and rude to me from the beginning. The moment I walked in she gave me attitude about my choice of costume, my behavior, me looking at myself in the mirror they provided and how long I took to get dressed. She asked me to sit on the bar and then chastised me when I did so without her "assistance". She told me "we always have to assist customers getting up and down. So let this be a learning lesson for you. You're going to get down and I will help you back up." She treated me as if I were a child. I'm 27. She wanted me to get off the bar and use her hand to get back into the same position. However at no point did she communicate any of this with me. She then told me I was difficult and arrogant from the moment I walked in. She then began to yell at me, berate me for the way I behaved, i.e. asking for assistance with my costume. My friends and I left without paying or taking the rest of the photos. I feel bad for the two girls working with her, who kept giving me and my friends embarrassed looks. I think she does this often with customers. She made me cry and didnt apologize. read more

We love to get old time photos done when we can, but the gentleman that took our photo was a hoot!! He has been doing this for 30 years and you can tell he loves what he does. He has so much fun, it is infectious! And his stock of clothes and shoes and accessories is amazing in size!! He has a great eye and doesn't do the normal shots most places do... heck, he even has a pole of ill repute he might have you swing from! The next time we are in Jackson, we will be back! read more

I always wanted to do one of these. And finally did! We had only a short wait and the staff were great. We had three employees help our family get dressed up and setup for the pictures. Each of the staff members were helpful and pleasant and there were plenty of options. We never felt rushed, but the staff was very efficient to get us through the session quickly.
