JPL brings a level of responsiveness, and attention to detail that makes a real difference. They have consistently gone above and beyond for me, and their support has white glove. They help ensure things are done correctly and take a lot of the friction out of the process. In a system where not everyone has access to full legal representation, having a service like this is more than worth the cost--and for someone representing themselves--I would say it is critical. Highly recommend.

On the morning of the hearing, I contacted the company to obtain the status of service and any service attempt information. Because the court required detailed information regarding service attempts, a court clerk also contacted the company seeking the dates and times of any attempts. At that time, the requested information was not provided. My hearing proceeded without the service information, and the matter was concluded shortly thereafter due to the lack of completed service. Several hours later, at approximately 12:27 PM on March 9, 2026, after the hearing had already ended, the company sent a report containing alleged service attempts from March 5 through March 8. My concern is not simply whether service attempts were made. My concern is that the information was not made available before the hearing, when it was actually needed. As a result, the service had no practical value to me at the time of the court proceeding. After I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer, the company continued to send invoices and informed me that finance charges would accumulate and that the account may eventually be sent to collections.

We contacted We the People because my mom needed a Quitclaim Deed prepared. Elena was very professional at the beginning. She provided the information we requested, and we agreed to the terms and fees. In mid‑June, we paid all fees and e‑signed the required documents. On July 6th, we signed the final documents in person and had them notarized. This is when the first issue occurred. We were told we needed to provide a check for the County Recorder fees -- the very first time this requirement was mentioned. We live out of state and did not have checks with us. Elena said a cashier's check would work, so we went to the bank and obtained one for the exact amount we were told. At that point, we believed everything was complete. Then on July 23rd, Elena called to inform me that the cashier's check was $4 short. I was shocked. Instead of arguing, I mailed a $4 check to cover the difference. Issue #2 happened on August 21st. Elena called again to say that one box on the Deed Exemptions form had not been checked. That should have been caught on July 6th when she reviewed the documents with us. She emailed the form for me to select the exemption and sign, but the e‑form wouldn't allow me to check any boxes. I had to save it to my desktop, open it in Adobe, manually check the exemption, and send it back the same day. Now it is August 28th, and the Quitclaim Deed still has not been recorded.
