We absolutely love JGNS! The staff are loving, warm & very experienced. They have a great program which allows the children to discover & learn things in various ways. As an added bonus, they have yoga, music, and gym classes included! Fun playground on the property, too! There are special seasonal & holiday events as well. It's a wonderful community, like a big family. This is an amazing preschool! The teachers are highly engaged with the kids, with an exceptional range of activities, and the director is energetic and innovative. Our kids have attended both during the school year and the summer program and loved it. JGNS has flexible hours, with both early morning drop-off and after-school activities. The school teaches with some emphasis about Jewish holidays and practice. However, the school has non-Jewish students as well. (N.B. The Judy Gordon preschool has a new director and some new policies since a couple years ago.) read more

My 3 yo daughter goes there three days a week. She absolutely loves it there. I was afraid she'll cry when I drop her off, but she's just so happy to be there, she runs to the class and starts playing and drawing. Recently, I've had an unexpected transition between nannies, and JGNS was very flexible and allowed me to change the hours for those three weeks to accommodate my needs. My daughter attends this School and my Son will next year. It has been a great school for her. She is more than ready for Kindergarten. She had a hard time transitioning to preschool and they did a wonderful job making her feel comfortable. This is a great School and so much growth has happened for her in the two years she has been there! That have a really great curriculum that is built around hands on learning. My daughter stays all day from 7:30-4:00 and at 4:00 she often wants to stay longer. Her father is Jewish but I am not and it is welcoming to everyone not just if you are Jewish. That being said she has learned a lot of traditional Jewish songs and all about the holidays which is important to that side of the family. read more

This is going to be our family's third year at JGELC. Our daughter LOVES her teachers and has made excellent strides in her social skills. The director and teachers truly partner with parents, working together to solve problems, improve the school experience and promote student progress. During the pandemic, the director along with the teachers provided regular "Living Room Chats" for parents to discuss the new guidelines and school plans and address parent questions. My 2 year old has been going here for nearly a year and we are so glad we found this school! It's the teachers that make this place so great. The teachers have all been there for a long time, very experienced, stay up to date on latest education for the best development, and are so loving and dedicated that they feel like family. We love JGNS! I can't imagine sending my kids elsewhere after experiencing the warmth, love, creativity, and quality education here. The teachers love my child like their own. They go above and beyond to make sure he is safe even with many food allergies, and they always make sure he gets just what he needs, working with his outside service providers. I'm an educator and am still constantly amazed by the amazing curriculum they come up with. My son is doing this I never in a million years would've thought he was capable of yet, nor would I even have thought to try with him. The flexible day care schedule is fabulous for working parents. Terrible preschool. Kicked out my 2 year old because he couldn't talk, even though they had no problem taking our money or assuring us that it was fine. We moved him to Plymouth House Nursery in Framingham with no problems. Stay away! read more

I have spent the last few hours looking at pictures of my two grandchildren who are enrolled in Judy Gordon Nursery. Looking at these images has compelled me to express how impressed I am with this preschool program. First, a bit of background on me. I began as a classroom teacher and continue to write books, film and television programs dedicated to entertaining and educating young children. Therefore, when I say I am impressed, I am not speaking only as a "proud bubbie" - but as a professional educator. My grandson is a happy, bright boy, and the photos of him at Judy Gordon are proof that his good nature, outlook and character have been influenced positively by the Judy Gordon environment. On every photo, in every moment, he is so engaged! I am thrilled to see the broad range of activities that include movement, music, cooperative, individual and imaginative play. And yes, there are some academics (writing, numbers, science) thrown into the mix--but just enough. It is difficult when your beloved grandkids live across the country. But knowing that they are at Judy Gordon makes me feel better every day! I have visited personally on several occasions, and everything I see further backs up my gut feelings that this is as good as preschool program gets! read more
