I have Been a long time customer of this location. In fact my child even worked there while in high school. This morning I came in and bought 2 smoothies. I really needed to use the restroom due to a medical condition that gives me urgency and increased frequency. I asked to use the restroom which has a sign saying "employees only" and explained my rather embarrassing condition. The girl working said she could not let me bc she would get "fired". I can understand that they don't want non-customers using their facilities and to keep the homeless out of their restrooms. But to not allow customers to use them, even on an exception basis is ludicrous. Furthermore, failure to allow a customer to use the restroom is in violation of The Disability Act and can be seen as DISCRIMINATION for which the owner is liable. The "no restroom restriction" began bc of COVID... this is no longer the case and should be offer to customers. This used to be a great location but it has changed hands several times and so has the service. They aren't happy and friendly anymore. It's sad to see good businesses fail. read more

Overall, I like Juice it Up's drinks, as I prefer my smoothies to be more yogurt-tasting and to have a thicker consistency. Terrible customer service I went there today at 12:09 PM for my lunch. I had called six minutes prior or so and the girl said she had a very long line and she was the only one there she was sitting there talking to some guy when I arrived, who was the only person in the store? There was no long line, and it didn't seem like she was doing my order at all that I had placed56 minutes prior to showing up so I'm a little baffled on the laziness and the lies. This is a nice place for a quick n refreshing smoothie on a hot day! I ordered the strawberry wave and mango mania which are their most popular flavors according to the worker. The strawberry wave tasted exactly like an outshine strawberry fruit bar. And the mango mania just tasted like a mango strawberry smoothie. The large size was $6.99 and it was very filling. The texture of the smoothie was good. It was very smooth n creamy and not chunky or icy. The only reason I would give this place 4 stars rather than 5 is because the smoothies had a sort of artificial taste to it rather than a fresh fruit smoothie. Maybe it's because of the type of juices they use but I'm not sure. All guests are required to wear face masks before entering and employees wear face masks as well. Our family really enjoys this Juice It Up location conveniently located across the street from the Tustin Market Place. We usually stop in during the afternoons and see Kara, she always greets us with a smile. Our favorite drinks are the Zone with Whey Protein and Kara usually splits my Large into a smaller one for my son. We also really enjoy the Strawberry Wave for a lighter and more refreshing option. I was a little alarmed by a wanderer who appears to be living in/on his bike (and trailer) who chains his bike up regularly to the front table. I haven't been to a Juice It Up in forever, and now I remember why. This location recently opened up in my area and while the overall store is nice (albeit bare with a hospital-type-sterile feeling), the selection of smoothies and bowls is as subpar as it always has been. Years ago I would get Juice It Up smoothies, but then Nekter and Jamba Juice took over the industry, so I rarely visited Juice It Up. However, a few days ago I decided to give them another chance. I ordered an Acai bowl and my boyfriend ordered their strawberry smoothie. Out of all the bowls I've had, this was definitely the most basic one. It had a very syrupy, artificial tasting Acai base and you have to pay for every topping after 3. All of the bowls I normally get come with a myriad of toppings. This Juice It Up bowl was laughable with its sprinkle of granola and strawberries placed on top. My boyfriend liked his smoothie, but he generally prefers very plain smoothies and bowls, so I wasn't surprised to know he liked it. I feel like there are only a handful of different smoothies and bowls to choose from and the options they have don't seem very appealing, unique, or refreshing. The girls who served us were kind and helpful, but the place was empty despite being a brand new location. In addition, their pricing is totally whack. For what you get and for the size, it's ridiculous to be charged $10 for a tiny Acai bowl with 3 teaspoon sized toppings. I understand the pricing at Jamba Juice and Nekter because you get really good tasting Acai bowls LOADED with tons of toppings. But, here? Most of my bowl was a syrupy Acai mess. If you're looking for a healthy smoothie joint, I'd recommend you try out any other place. read more

In addition to that, he made one of our two smoothies and it was only 75% full. I then watched him pour the smoothie back into the blender, add more scoops of ice, and re-blend it. Bottom line: Don't bother coming here unless you like paying for below average smoothies and bad customer service. Would give less than 1 star if possible. I visited on Thursday, 1/5/23 around 9:15 am. It's storming outside so when I walk in, the store was empty. A young girl with dark hair and long nails came out from the back and asked me what I wanted and I told her I only knew my husband's order and needed a few moments as I wasn't sure what I wanted. She kind of huffed and seemed like she didn't want to be there. She treated me like an interruption to whatever she had going on before I came in. I told her my husband's order (he comes here 2-3x/week) and picked something for my kids and mentioned I still need time to look at the menu for my own drink. She started making the order then came back, took my order and payment. She forgot to split my kids' drink so I had to remind her and she quickly did that, placed it on the counter then turned around and started cleaning up. No thank you or anything, just a real lack of customer service and rush to get back to what she was doing before I came in. Again it was raining so I hurried to my car, went to pick up some food from another place, and made my way home. When I got home and we all tried our smoothies it was such a disappointment! They weren't fully blended and had big chunks of fruit them, even in my kids drinks (ikr... choking hazard!). My husband was surprised bc he gets the same smoothie several times a week and it didn't taste how it usually does. I called and after about 8-10 rings someone picked up. I explained the smoothie was nasty and had no taste and didn't look the way it usually does when he orders it. The person reacted with an attitude stating she is the one who made it, that she is the lead and is there most days making smoothies and always makes it the same way according to the menu, so she doesn't see how my husband could come in and get the same thing and find it made/taste so differently this time. I told her I just wanted a refund and she see immediately said she couldn't do that. I asked to speak to the store owner and she said "She isn't in, I'll have to call her". I asked her if I could give my info and she said she doesn't know when she'll be able to get ahold of her. I explained to her the smoothie was still full and I can bring it back (in the pouring rain) because it is awful and we aren't going to drink it and i just want my money back at this point. She said something like yeah if you still have it you can bring it back for a refund. Basically it seemed like she assumed we were asking for money back and were still going to drink that nasty crap. So I took it back, she was ready with cash in hand, snatched the smoothie and didn't say anything. No apology or acknowledgment... I said yeah it just doesn't taste how it normally does and she said something like "well I'm always here so idk how he can say he comes in all the time". This shocked me bc my husband wasn't with me so how would she know who he is and whether he comes in or not. I explained I'm not going to go back and forth and turned and walked out then decided to turn around and ask for the owner's business card or info so I can reach out. The lady said she can't give out the contact info. I asked when the owner was in and she laughed "I don't know. She hardly comes so you'd have to just keep calling until you finally reach her". I asked "so there is no way for me to get a hold of the store owner unless I call often and randomly at different times?" She scoffed and said "yeah". I told her "you could really use some training on customer service because this isn't how you handle an issue" and she quipped "I'll be sure to let her know". I replied "don't worry, I'll find a way to let her know myself." So, I'm writing this to let the owner know. Hoping they'll contact me and hear about my experience. I'm also hoping others that think about coming to this location think again... it's not worth the price for a chunk filled "smoothie" and horrible customer service. Jamba Juice isn't far, gets my order right, and employs folks that actually show they care about the well being of their customers. read more

One employee was working very hard but alone and orders were taking around an hour to complete. This was unfair to the employee and not conducive to good service. I feel really bad about the employees working in such an awfully lit store for hours. It's glaring hospital white light and it's just irritating to stand in there for 5 minutes while you wait for the smoothie. You don't normally notice how important something like lighting is until you walk into a store like this. Torturous. I paid almost $30 for three smoothies and they put them in a flimsy drink carrier. As I stepped into my car one tipped forward spilling all over my purse, my legs, and my car seat. When I walked back to let them know. They re made it AND CHARGED ME FOR IT. so now I paid nearly $20 for a smoothie and now have to get my car detailed.
