It feels like a second high school for Midwood kids stapled to a Yeshiva and masjid jmi`. I love the diversity of the place but the sects within the school are so isolated. It is quite a shame that this is the case, as I would love to get to know more people from these other walks of life.

I've been to many functions with this organization in NYC and have always heard about the wonderful…read morework they do. There dedictaion to NYC youth is unparallel. Last year I had to opportunity to visit the camp. I figured it would be a great opportuniy to leave the city on a hot summer day and get some fresh air. Upon arrival I saw bikes for the campers to ride and a horse. The most beautiful part of the camp is the endless lake. There are boats for the children to row and a clean lake. I didnt have a chance to eat in the dinning hall but there was a beautiful rustic fire place. As a native New York city kid I wish I was able to attened a camp like this in my youth. I feel it would have exposed me to another world we dont see in the hustle and bustle of the boroughs. However I've learned that this organization continues to have many social events throughtout that city that allows anyone to partake.

My daughter has done two sessions of Science Saturdays with Miss Carmen at Kiddie Science. We feel…read morethat the sessions are top notch and my daughter loves to attend them. There aren't a lot of classes that my daughter is willing to give up her Saturday mornings for but we have zero problems getting her excited about Science Saturdays. Miss Carmen is an engaging instructor that makes science fun. Each Saturday has a different theme. There is a lot of discussion around each theme, experiments, a snack, and typically a take home activity. I am always amazed at what my daughter has learned in the span of 2 hours of Kiddie Science. It's a great program for children that love science, children that have a billion questions about everything, and as a supplement to regular elementary education. Miss Carmen also holds family workshops throughout the year that are always tons of fun for both kids and parents. We enjoy Kiddie Science so much that we had Miss Carmen come and do science experiments at our daughter's 5th birthday. It was a huge hit!
