It takes A LOT of effort for someone that age to keep making repeat trips around town. My mother raised her voice and started down the hall calling Doc Farley's name to get a simple signature she needed on a document for Medicare. This is very unusual for a woman of her generation and for her personally. Instead of being concerned that the patient he knows is now exhibiting unusual behavior, instead of wondering if she was presenting with symptomology of dementia, instead of caring for his patient per his Hypocratic Oath, he instead refused to see her. In fact, he sent her a letter stating that effective immediately, he had dropped her from his patient list. She was now afloat, possibly with a major and drastic onset issue. He did not facilitate her to another medical office. He did not see her to see what might be causing her behavior (tumor? Alzheimer's? Dementia?). He instead violated everything he stands for. He just brushed her off and sent an elderly woman out into the cold with no one to care for her. Think long and hard about whether you want to entrust your loved ones to this medical "practitioner."
