I love the spray tans here so I decided to book a hair appointment for the first time. I would not recommend Kerstyn. When I walked in I did not feel welcomed, she didn't even introduce herself. I did arrive about 6 min late and she said didn't have enough time to accommodate that so we couldn't do a full, haircut, and blowout which I had booked for all because I was 6 min late. I did take off work and had this appointment book for over a month now, sorry there was a little traffic. I was told I could either do a partial, cut, and blowout or just a full highlight and leave with no cut and wet hair. I couldn't actually get everything done in this appointment that I booked for. You would think when you book something, they would make time for you to receive all of those services in one appointment as this appointment is long. When I said I was going to reschedule and asked why she couldn't fit this all in a 3 hour appt. She said they had to go over pricing and look at my hair. That all took a matter of 5 minutes. It wouldn't make sense unless she had overbooked or made a mistake with her bookings. I don't know if something was wrong with their booking or not but if you know you can't give a client your best service then it would nice to call them before and figure out a reschedule instead of trying to rush me. She was very rude and unprofessional the moment I walked into the salon until I left. Very frustrating and disappointing. read more

I am very particular about my hair and once I find someone that does it right I stick with them. That person for me is Kayla. She is amazing at color. Always gets it perfect. I just had a Brazilian Blowout and my hair is healthy, silky and beautiful. I have long hair and this process puts all the protein back into each strand of hair. Beautiful! Purchased a groupon and I should read the reviews from people who bought one and how they were treated, I thought they were exaggerating. NO because it all happened to me, a rushed job and I felt like I was some low life with a coupon. He is an idea, don't offer the groupons if that is how you feel. I arrived and was greeted by the stylist Kerstyn and right away I could sense an attitude, not sure if we were off meds that day or just having a bad day in general. Not sure how people on the reviews can say she was so sweet, maybe I don't get St Charles personalities. I wore a mask as I don't feel 100% with someone that close to my face, she said masks are optional and we wont judge you if you wear one, gee thanks. I told her I was vaccinated, but was still uncomfortable, not sure if me being vaccinated was an issue as St Charles people are in denial about the virus or maybe a political issue, there never was a mask mandate in the county. I told Kerstyn what I would like done, she right away talked full highlights, but was complaining that I would have to reschedule, as there wasn't enough time, but we will see what we can do in the time allowed. Shouldn't the person that made the appointment knew how much time to allow? She kept getting disgusted because I was adjusting my mask so I could breathe and she said I am going to have to sit still, ok, I can see during the cut, but the color application, I felt like a scolded 2 year old. About 30 minutes into my lack of speaking visit, her next customer came in and that is when the rush job started, you can tell as the applicator brush was being applied pretty hard. She was even rude to her next customer (obviously never been before) the person wanted a certain color and she said she was going to do something else. Shouldn't you get what you ask for? After what seemed like sitting in the chair processing forever, it was my time to get washed, I sat there a few minutes why she played with her phone. The groupon was to include a conditioning treatment, don't think I got it, I don't think the back of my head even got washed. Then time for my cut. I mentioned some problem areas, totally ignored me and literally cut enough hair to fill a cap from a soda bottle. The style was rushed, as her next customer was sitting at the shampoo bowl, plus the blow dryer was really hot. I didn't want to say anything as I am sure it would have gone hotter. When I left the salon, my hair style looked no different than when I walked in (keep in mind I am not a "STYLIST"), the color slightly different, nothing I couldn't have done myself and saved a lot of money that I felt I threw away. Of course, there were additional services added that cost more than the original groupon, I was asked if I wanted to know the prices first, was I not dressed nice enough that I didn't look like I could afford it? I don't know who this salon thinks they are, you are located in O'Fallon, Missouri, NOT Frontenac or Clayton. Even if Kerstyn did I good job I would not have gone back due to her attitude and lack of conversation, possibly a generation issue. I had a better conversation with another customer, whom she was even rude to. I was so tempted to walk out, but had money invested from groupon. I wish I had the $225 back as it was not worth more than about $50, with tip. read more

I had extremely high hopes when I started researching for my next salon! Their website had me envisioning a great experience! Imagine my surprise when I walked into a small salon with 6 stations. I was scheduled for 4:15 and my "senior stylist" was still on the middle of a client. When I asked who was later the owner, about the lateness she replied "Rachel hasn't mentioned anything about being late to us" no sorries or anything! Rachel finally started my 4:15 appt at 4:35. I had to cancel my dental appt after extensively going into detail about what I wanted and showing pics .... My hair is NO where near what I asked for! In fact she followed the same messed up cut I already had except for Rachel took an inch off the bottom! And she's a "senior" stylist! this probably right up there with one of five worst cuts I've experienced! I was charged $60 for the cut I tipped her $30 .. the worst $90 I've ever spent! will NOT be going back nor do I recommend them .. just sayin read more

I am thoroughly appalled by the quality of service that I had received from a facial with Emily. I had recently moved back home and was looking for a new spa and this one came highly recommended for facials and dermaplaning. After my 60 minute facial and dermaplaning service I returned home only to find the entire left side of my face had been sliced nearly 8 times. I notified the owner Jamie and the rectification that was offered was to refund the $45 that the dermaplaning service cost or credit towards my account on a future service. Needless to say I took the $45 refund and will never return for any service due to the lack of concern with this entire issue. I have had the service is done on a regular basis for the past two years and never had this experience. Please make sure that you're satisfied with the quality of service before you leave if you choose to use this salon and spa. read more

I expected MUCH better for 750 bucks! The charges didn't add up for colors. They charged me :Full head 102 .Plus 17 additional color, Plus Single process 129 bucks .Corrective color was 100. I didnt even like the color first time around and they still charged me! They did a partial color and still charged me for full.Who charges those fees for hair color is wrong. Even high end salons don't charge me that much. I didnt even like it and let them know I didnt -They couldve at least offered fixed it free for the color. I even asked them to have the owner manager owner of salon contact me about charges 3x and they couldn't do that much.This salon did me wrong and took advantage of me.This is salon not a Beverly Hills salon so dont charge me like. I was greeted by Stephanie and her smile. That was nice. She offered me infused water. That was nice. Then my stylist, Rashel Lea, arrived and ushered me to her chair station. I told her I had a Groupon for $89 for Women's Haircut, Deep Conditioning Treatment, Style, and Blow-dry, with Color or Half-Foil Highlights. She tried to "upsell" me other treatments (that I don't even know what they are or do) and I stood by my request. After I sat through the foil folding, she put me under the dryer (normal) for a few minutes. We walked back to the chair and as she drew the wet towel off my head, I had to hold my shriek inside: my hair was bleached whitish/yellow in lines down both sides of my head!! That's not what I asked for. I asked her what happened and she said, "you didn't want toner." She started to blow dry my zebra hair but I declined. I didn't want her to touch me anymore. I told this whole thing to the new lady at the front desk, who could not have cared any less, and I left. I will never return and I will not recommend this salon. This was NOT nice. I hope the owner reads this and knows this is one unsatisfied customer and she has one stylist who needs coaching. read more

First off, I'm going to start by admitting that the main reason why I came here was that my favorite beauty place had closed down recently and didn't have anywhere to go. I also was looking at Groupon for some idea of good places in the area that wasn't Great Clips and found this gem. I was able to get an appointment almost right away. Called on Friday and was scheduled for Monday. Talk about a fast timeline. I would have expected at least a week wait with it being a spa/salon. Guess it also helped that I could come in at any time of the day too. My deal included a cut, blowdry, and deep conditioning treatment. Trysten was so nice and friendly to talk to. She cut and styled my hair just the way that I like and always imagine it to look like. I suck at styling my hair, so it's nice to have a good hair day from time to time. The deep conditioning treatment was so relaxing. The treatment was massaged into my hair and I was left with the lights turned down and relaxing pop music playing. You know, music like Ed Sheeran and Hozier. The treatment smelt like lavender and mint. To be fair I'm not really 100% sure, but it smelt amazing. Hopefully I can come back soon. I really did enjoy myself and got a free goodie bag at the end for being a new client. That was a bonus. read more

I didnt find this salon until November 2015, man how I wish I had found it sooner. I have naturally curly coarse hair, I had been to countless stylists and never found anyone who could cut or color my hair correctly. I would tell stylist after stylist my hair absorbs color like a dry towel so please be sure to check it often because I process quickly. NOT ONE of them listened to me and always screwed up my hair. Then I went to see Haley!!! My hair has never looked better! It is healthy, cut in a way that is perfect for my face and the color is beautiful! Everyone who works there is very friendly I know just about everyone by name and they all know my name. After reading some of the other reviews a was little nervous BUT I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, especially my stylists Kerstyn! From the moment I walked in the door, the ladies were so sweet and accommodating. Once I sat down with Kersytn we immediately started chatting and I had so much fun!! Our conversations were easy and she couldn't have been more kind. I haven't gone to an actual salon in probably 10 years and this was the best experience I could have hoped for. 11/10!! I have been a client of numerous Aveda salons in the STL area. However, no salon will match this one! I have very specific highlight requirements and this salon has a full team of talented stylist that specialize in superb blonde coloring. I love how they pamper everyone during the shampoo part as well (ie: hand massage!!!). There is also a great spa attached with really amazing peel offerings. I absolutely love this place! If you are looking for a quality salon in the O'Fallon area you have to check out Julius Monroe. I arrived a little early for my appointment and was offered a drink and sat in the waiting area for a bit. The stylists were all so friendly and the owner offered to give me a tour. The place is absolutely beautiful. I was just there to get my hair done, but as soon as I saw the spa part I knew I'd have to come back to try it out. I talked with my stylist, Casey, for awhile about the look I was going for and gave her the freedom to try out some new stuff on me. I felt like she "got" what I was looking for, which doesn't always happen with stylists. The color went on quick and I had a great time chatting with some of the stylists while it set. They even give hand massages while your color sets! The rinse/cut/style part went great and she gave me great feedback about what would work and look good with my hair type. It came out beautifully! I had Tia color my hair. I have been to other Aveda salons so I already knew the price was going to be a little higher but Aveda products are the best. Tia was great!!! She told me the price of my color and cut before she started. I hate surprises at the end. Tia did an amazing job! She made it natural as I asked for but also made sure I wasn't washed out. My last hair color left my hair red and big chunky highlights. The red is gone! read more
