During the first child's time, there were bullying incidents and understaffing leading to abuse. I saw a teacher assistant slam my daughter to the ground aggressively. My child suffered emotional distress that we still deal with. The final incident was starving my baby who started at a chunky 35 pounds and lost weight over a month due to inadequate meals and fluids despite their claims. I noticed when her clothes started to off and her bones were becoming visible. They harmed my child causing food insecurity. I have an active CPS case and a state citation. Please for the Love of God choose another daycare. They are not the best in Chalmette!!!

They are ALL about the children. In addition, Ms. Barbara is a true gem. My daughter started coming when she was 10 weeks, and I was beyond nervous. After meeting Ms. Anissa, Ms. Amanda, and Ms. Olga, I knew that this was was the right place. They were the first people to get her to smile. My daughter would light up when she saw them. Honestly, I would light up too. These women are magical. When she moved to infant room 2, I was nervous again, but the ladies transitioned baby girl slowly. Ms. Shelby, Ms. Erica, and Ms. Noty ensure that my baby girl is happy and safe. Every time I pick her up, she seems like she is having the time of her life. When it was time to start giving her solid food, everyone was on- board with giving her a vegetarian diet. They ensure that she is getting what she needs. I love the staff to infant ratio. I adore the little play area. I especially like the fact that she has her own little bed to nap in. If you are looking for a place that your child will love to come to, then this is the place. Between Ms. Aisha and Ms. Olga I was quickly put at ease. They loving cared for my sweet Sydney like she was their own. Over the year I have witnessed a special community that is more of a family where great teaching is taking place. I love seeing older children almost daily show parents evidence of learning. Proudly handing their Moms and Dads work and art projects. Then through the cafeteria where you can still smell the balanced hot lunch. There is also always someone cleaning. I love how at breakfast the various teachers are helping little ones take pride in establishing healthy habits. Then through the play yard to the infant rooms. There I get a complete report of Sydney day and schedule. Here Ms. Maria, Ms. Norma or Ms. Shelly always have some great progress to inform me. From all on the managers, owners and employees I could not be happier. Thank you for giving my girl the best foundation.

This daycare is so attentive. They are clean! Shoes off at the door! I love that! They actually love the children and it shows. There's always something for kids and parents to interact. There are curriculums even for the infants so they're always learning. Themed days that I always look forward to. I can call or show up as much as I'd like without feeling like a bother. They have a nice little cozy breastfeeding room for me to use when I come. Playgrounds for the teeny tots on up to the 4 year olds. Although, we don't have access to them all the time (I'd like to), there are cameras everywhere so if you need to see something you can. The app they use makes communication easy throughout the day. When they have the time, I look forward to the random pictures I sometimes get of my little one. I also love how diverse it is here! I was so hesitant and nervous about sending my baby to daycare because of all the horror stories we hear, and obviously nobody loves your baby like you do BUT carousel is a close second. He absolutely loves Amigo Ames and looks forward to going to school everyday. The staff is very friendly, and they follow a curriculum so your child actually learns something. After the morning "class" they have lunch and get to play outside. Not only am I paying $100 less in tuition a month than what I would at his previous daycare, but I also paid $10 less for each of his uniform shirts. He's very happy w/ the change and the only thing I wish is that I would have enrolled him here from the beginning instead of making a switch so far into the "school" year.

This is the first "daycare" my child has ever been to in his life and he started at 2 and a half…read more I've been able to keep him home with me since he was a newborn since I work remotely and have had family help throughout my work days. But now that he's getting older, he needs more stimulation and more activities and more interaction than just being at home with family. So I decided to put him here, part-time. He goes here two days a week And this child development center has been a game changer for him. His speech is getting better, he's learning new words and phrases, and he loves all of the activities and playtime that is scheduled every day that he gets. This place is a little pricey, as it is almost $900 for two days a week, but I can walk there from my house, which is very convenient and he's not even a mile away from me while I'm working, which is important to me. So if there's an emergency, any flooding anything that would make me nervous about him being away from me, I can literally get to him very quickly and pick him up. This place is very much recommended as they are very secure, there is a code you must enter to open the door and they have armed police officers on the property for pick up and drop off. The teachers are very sweet and all of the administrative staff seem to know every child and parent by name. Highly recommended if you are willing to pay for the extra amenities. Oh, and I almost forgot, one of the best things that they have is an actual app where they send a push notifications when their diaper is changed, when they eat and what they eat, and when they take a nap. So you're able to see what your child is doing while you're away.!! And at the end of the day, they give you a detailed report of what activities they did and how they contribute to their developmental progress AND they add pictures of your child doing the activity!!

The staff here was great - they are very up to date in the technology they use. Check-in is quick and easy via computer at the front door, security is tight - there are security officers at the entrance to the parking lot and entering the facility required a code entered into a keypad. The classrooms are well kept up, clean and picked up at the end of each day. I found the teachers to be warm, excited to see the children, and willing to give extra attention when needed. One of the things I really liked was the app they used to post updates throughout the day - meals, diapers, naps and pictures were posted to keep you updated on what your child was doing every day as well as provide drop-off and pick up alerts. In her 6 months there her vocabulary grew immensely, she started learning letters, counting, colors and animals. I felt they were teaching her and not just watching her while I worked.
