We hired Christopher for my daughters wedding cake and dessert table. Everyone raved about the desserts. We even had a gluten free flourless chocolate cake and cheese cake topped with fruit for our GF guests. The flourless chocolate cake was the best of many we've tried over the years. Very upset at my first experience at this bakery. Should've trusted my first instincts when I walked in. I've past it numerous times but finally gave it a shot. I purchased a large apple pie for $25.99, that to me didn't seem large at all. I was not happy about the price or the size of the pie but thought I would give it a shot. That very same day, my daughter was eating the pie and discovered mold. I called the bakery and asked for a refund. He sounded surprised that there was mold. He did mention that I can come in for another one. That was not an option for me, I just wanted a refund. He would not honor it. He kept on saying he would need proof and that they don't do that. It is a very simple thing to do. I have worked retail all my life and giving credit would've made me very happy as a customer and who knows maybe I would've come back in the future. I will now let everybody I know that lives in that area NEVER to go in. Instead go to the farmstands down the block that have fresh pies. And are cheaper. What a disappointment. Went there yesterday to purchase Babka Bread for Easter. Paid way too much for the bread and found the bread to be awful. When we cut into it the bread was very dry and stale and had no flavor. I feed it to the birds. What a waste of $50. I should have shopped closer to home. Found out later there were other places that had the same thing for less money and the bread was delicious. Never again. read more

Junda's is a long time institution in the area. The cookies are great, everything else is phoned in at this point. The strudel - which is what they're known for - was fine, but nothing special. The apple was a little undercooked and underseasoned. The pastry was fine. Word of warning: The man behind the counter weighs light, cuts short, and charges seemingly arbitrary prices. Make sure you ask for prices up front. And make sure he's giving you what you paid for. He's a bit rude, to boot, but I can deal with that if I'm not actively being ripped off. read more

This was an off day for Jumdas bakery. We ordered five different things, a chocolate croissant, a raspberry chocolate pastry, a pecan cookie , some butter cookies and a peach apple spice. Although they were okay tasting, nothing was spectacular. The staff certainly isn't the warmest bunch of people around either. I fear they need to up the ante a little bit.
