As the years go by local shops really shine. Got the two strangest breads today and some interesting tarts. Chocolate cheese, peach and pear. All so unique and good looking. Flavors and textures are creative and never exactly the same. The most gorgeous lemon meringue was left behind. Will be back next week.

Have not tasted it yet but it sure is gorgeous. Moms birthday is tomorrow.

Have not tasted it yet so I dont know the quality of the cake or frosting. I do know that it is gorgeous and a work of art to be admired. My stars are based upon how it looks. Update: Omg..this cake was amazing. Delicious. White cake with a pudding center. Just out of this world yummy. Good job guys!!

    Inside of apple pie

Very upset at my first experience at this bakery. Should've trusted my first instincts when I walked in. I've past it numerous times but finally gave it a shot. I purchased a large apple pie for $25.99, that to me didn't seem large at all. I was not happy about the price or the size of the pie but thought I would give it a shot. That very same day, my daughter was eating the pie and discovered mold. I called the bakery and asked for a refund. He sounded surprised that there was mold. He did mention that I can come in for another one. That was not an option for me, I just wanted a refund. He would not honor it. He kept on saying he would need proof and that they don't do that. It is a very simple thing to do. I have worked retail all my life and giving credit would've made me very happy as a customer and who knows maybe I would've come back in the future. I will now let everybody I know that lives in that area NEVER to go in. Instead go to the farmstands down the block that have fresh pies. And are cheaper. I never ever leave reviews but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

There's some baking happening this afternoon!

Historic house turned into a bakery. I'm imaging Paul Revere on his horse watching for Red Coats and saying, Hmm.. Lemme stop and get coffee with a slice of apple strudel. (I know he was in Boston, run with it skippy) Speaking of apple strudel, I bought a hunk to have with coffee. What a hunka hunk of burning love! OMG, the Apple Strudel being made here is totally legit. I can see why Paul took the Orient Point ferry to Jamesport for apple strudel. Junta's sells some amazing apple strudel, they also sell fresh breads, cookies, pies and scones. I bought a scone to have on Monday with coffee. Hey, I'm always planning ahead. I came here for Easter to get fresh cross buns, unfortunately they were sold out. Junda's Pastry Shop, come here early for the best baked goods on the North Fork. If your shopping at Tanger or at the Aquarium, Junta's isn't too far away in Jamesport. Trust me, you're gonna want to come early before they sell out of the best baked goods.

Not sure why so many negative reviews because this was one of the best desserts I ever ate. German choc, cheese, pecans, coconut and happiness. FRESH! So many other things to choose from but I settled on this. Not anymore expensive as briemere or any other north fork bakery. Worth every $.

The last of the evidence : )

Terrible! $11.50 for 2 tiny, stale apple muffins that ended up in the trash. Never going back to this dump.

My only disappointment is that they only serve breakfast and lunch, and not dinner. It is a culinary teaching program, and they have limited hours. Their Spring 2025 semester is closing soon on May 15, 2025. It is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am Lunch from 9 am to 2 pm. Twenty-four of us had our monthly luncheon there in April. Everyone raved about their order, and many have been back since bringing their friends. Downtown Riverhead is welcoming to shoppers with ample free municipal parking and increased security. The facility is accessible through the rear door adjacent to the Municipal lot behind 20 Main Street. Our group asked to come back in May. The staff is friendly, the food terrific, and the facility clean. If you walk towards the rear entrance, you will see students working with their teachers. The entire kitchen is on view. Once you place your order, you can wait in the adjacent room looking over Main Street. Staff will bring your order to your table. I failed to mention their selection of desserts and gelato. Not all cakes are available daily since the students learn to bake specific cakes as part of the curriculum. They make a flourless chocolate cake, which is amazing. Their days of operation follow the schedule of Suffolk County Community College.
