We stopped in to get a pie while visiting the area and were met by the friendliest owner. We bought an apple pie and apple turnover, which were delicious, but the real star of the show was the pecan pie that he threw in for my husbands birthday. It was just sweet enough, but not too sweet to overpower the nuts. read more

Very upset at my first experience at this bakery. Should've trusted my first instincts when I walked in. I've past it numerous times but finally gave it a shot. I purchased a large apple pie for $25.99, that to me didn't seem large at all. I was not happy about the price or the size of the pie but thought I would give it a shot. That very same day, my daughter was eating the pie and discovered mold. I called the bakery and asked for a refund. He sounded surprised that there was mold. He did mention that I can come in for another one. That was not an option for me, I just wanted a refund. He would not honor it. He kept on saying he would need proof and that they don't do that. It is a very simple thing to do. I have worked retail all my life and giving credit would've made me very happy as a customer and who knows maybe I would've come back in the future. I will now let everybody I know that lives in that area NEVER to go in. Instead go to the farmstands down the block that have fresh pies. And are cheaper. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon in January. Paid $15 for 8 small cookies that were tasteless and low quality. They charge $25 a pound and I think their scale is broken. This was an off day for Jumdas bakery. We ordered five different things, a chocolate croissant, a raspberry chocolate pastry, a pecan cookie , some butter cookies and a peach apple spice. Although they were okay tasting, nothing was spectacular. The staff certainly isn't the warmest bunch of people around either. I fear they need to up the ante a little bit. Overpriced but pretty good! I have to say that I was not overly impressed with any of the cookies and cookies are my downfall. But....the coffee cake-which I normally could care less about is REALLY good. I was here last year and the coffee cake was enough to get me to return. I had the Peach almond (i think?) It has peach but the nut I am not 100% on-whatever it was, it was not the prevailing taste. I think that their babka muffins are pretty good too. I love this place. The boston cream doughnut is delicious. REAL melted chocolate, fluffy dough and lip smacking cream fill. Favorite pie: peach crumble. Fresh fruit with the right amount of flavors balanced throughout. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
