Not only do the kids learn taekwondo technique and get physical training but Master Jung is excellent at helping kids learn to be strong, confident individuals who can handle their emotions and control their bodies. Master Jung is the best taekwondo instructor! All 3 of my boys have been in training under Master Jung since the age of 6. He teaches you techniques for self defense and helps build confidence and discipline. I've tried a few taekwondo studios before enrolling my boys in this one. I am so impressed with SMA, in RSM (Dove Canyon). Master Jung is amazing! I have twin 6 year old boys that have shown GREAT improvement in their, less than desirable, behaviors. In less than 1 month, one of my boys has stopped starting fights with his twin brother and stopped biting his fingers & fingernails. Master Jung at SMA has done a fantastic job with our 4 year old son. He focuses on discipline and life skills ahead of everything else. There is of course some self defense instruction which is great, but the focus is definitely on focusing and following directions. Sunrise Martial Arts is truly the best. My 2 girls have been learning and coming to this studio for several years now. I drive by 2 other taekwondo studios from my house, to come here. Master Jung is exceptional with children! He has a warm smile and a genuine heart, but is also firm and so amazing at encouraging the children to have confidence, strength, and empathy for others. Taekwondo is also a wonderful and artful sport, where my kids get conditioning exercise, physical training, all with a boost of confidence and fun.
