I wish I had known about Junk Bee Gone sooner! Upon the death of my sibling, I had the task of clearing out his VERY FULL storage unit. After I recruited family & friends to help dispose of some things, I organized items for donation & things to throw away, there was STILL SO MUCH STUFF! Again, friends & family helped move all the things to a relative's garage because (at the time) the plan was to pay for a dumpster and put the stuff in there. (Mind you, this was a lot of physical labor over the course of 4 weekends!) On one of the trips between the storage unit and relative's house, I saw a sign on a telephone pole: Junk Removal + phone #. I called and spoke to Ruben. I wasn't sure what to expect since this is the first time I have ever called a phone # off a roadside sign. I was pleasantly surprised with the professional service I received from start to finish! Ruben explained how the process for junk removal would go, so there were no surprises. I scheduled the junk removal service for a Saturday and Junk Bee Gone would arrive between 10 am -12 pm. I got text reminders the day before and the day of the appointment. Andy, Juan, and Ruben arrived at 11 am in a truck. Andy assessed the amount of stuff that needed to be hauled away and quoted me $550 for the service. I agreed to the amount and they got started right away. It took them a little over an hour to load the items in their truck. They were nothing but professional throughout the process! Really poor communication - they did not tell me they never planned to show up until about an hour before the scheduled appointment, and only after I reached out to them to confirm. This was booked well in advance and I would've been able to find another team to come. They unfortunately have no regard for people's time. We agreed they'd show up at 10am - they should have canceled and communicated if they would no longer be taking the job on or had any questions about the appointment. Edit: owner said no appt was confirmed but clearly it was from the screenshot below and previous messages. Owner said they followed up but clearly they did not. Owner said they never got an address which is a lie. I asked for a lower rate (as everyone should be doing) and when they said no I was fine to move forward. After contacting Ruben from having seen him on Instagram, I was immediately impressed by the level of professionalism and courtesy he showed both my aunt and me during our initial phone conversations. For being a young business owner, we found him to be polite and genuine as he understood the delicate nature of our situation. We scheduled him to come out for a quote just 4 days after our initial contact and were thrilled to find out that they would have the truck and the availability to begin the job right then if we chose to hire him and his team. Upon meeting Ruben, Michael and Juan (his crew) we were impressed simply by the fact that they came wearing company uniform shirts and slacks and that Michael and Juan were just as friendly and courteous as their boss. They are very chill and quiet natured all the while working hard, non-stop throughout all 3 days. We showed Michael the apt and although we feared the worst, he gave us a very fair and reasonable quote which we agreed to and they began the job immediately. It was a massive undertaking they were getting themselves into but after taking a look around and seeing the incredible amount of work they were facing~without hesitation Michael said, "This is no problem for us. I'm eager to see your faces when we're finished!" They truly take pride in their work and he said a big part of the reward he gets from doing this type of job, was getting to see the satisfied looks on their customers' faces. In the quote it was determined that it would require 3 truck loads (they charge by the truck load) and even though they ended up having to rent a large U-haul 2, out of the 3 days that it took to clear out an upstairs 2b/2b apt and garage..they stuck to their original quote which we were pleasantly surprised and grateful for. So if you're looking to hire a crew that is professional, good natured, and who will show up on time, work their butts off until the job is complete and do everything in their quote without a bunch of sneaky, add-on fees like other businesses do~I can assure you that Ruben, Michael and Juan are the team you want to hire. They do not disappoint! I want to add that it was only due to the massive amount of unseen items hidden beneath the mounds of hoard~ that Ruben took it upon himself to rent a U-haul since it provided 8 feet longer than his trucks and he was determined to stick to the time frame he quoted. He could have easily charged us more for needing the U-haul to be able to accommodate all that needed to be removed but he was very sincere in wanting to stick to our verbal agreement as another way of providing us excellent service. The communication between your office and the workers who came to my home was extremely poor. I clearly explained what needed to be removed, yet the crew arrived without proper tools to do the job. I ended up having to lend them my own tools just so they could complete work. On top of that, I was charged extra for "additional loads" even though the truck already had tires and debris in it before they started felt unprofessional. For the price I paid, the service was nowhere near the level it should have been. 2 workers took far too long to complete job. To make matters worse, one of the workers used my restroom and left it in a disgusting condition. That is completely innappropriate and disrespectful.
